Hello again Sue :-)

thought the sight of us all wriggling had frightened you away :-D
How are all the grand children, are they glad to be back at school with all their friends.

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 24 Jul 2013 22:43

Hello Sue :-)
It is the humidity that is bothering us Brits I suspect . It feels as if there just isn't enough oxygen in the air :-S

We could do with a good old storm to clear the air .

Amanda2003 Report 24 Jul 2013 22:41

Tec , do you try to avoid the lady that chats you up or do you deliberatly head for her ? :-S
Your lilys sound divine :-)

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 24 Jul 2013 22:40

You all look so silly wriggling :-0

Where I live we don't often get temperatures in the 30's more than a couple of days. It's the humidity that's so difficult to handle. When we went on our "outback" trip it was often around 35C but it was so much easier to bear. However we did have one day when it was 42C and that was too hot. We certainly understood why everyone disappears off the streets for a few hours during the day.

Amanda, they are not that friendly in my Co-op, except that is for the lady that chats me up if I land on her till.

The other shops in the town are very friendly, and I'm known by name in many of them.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 24 Jul 2013 22:29

Amanda - Your Co-op is obviously a very different place to the one I frequent :-D

Diane

Diane Report 24 Jul 2013 22:29

Me too Amanda, I have given them all something towards spends, not as much as I would have liked to have given them but every little helps. :-)

I didn't grow any sweet peas this year - wish I had :-0

The perfume from sweet peas takes some beating - there is nothing quite like it.

We are overpowered by the smell from the lily's outside the front door - it wafts in every time the door is open.

The Duchess has hay fever, so is not amused :-(

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 24 Jul 2013 22:26

It is a wonder of the world though Tec ;-) Grim by structure but with a lovely atmosphere inside , I love my Co-op <3

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 24 Jul 2013 22:23

Tec , Sue is probably reading back to find out what we have all been up to .

I have just been into my kitchen and it is filled with the scent of sweet peas :-D I have three massive bunches on the windowsill , the smell is knockout :-0

Diane Report 24 Jul 2013 22:22

Thank you Linda it is a relief on finances not to have to pay the Bedroom tax, I love seeing all the girl's " and my daughter too " and hearing about all they are up to ( oh to be young again )

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 24 Jul 2013 22:21

Tec , the moon is just hovering over the co-op here ( where incidently I thought of you today as I passed the cool shelves....lol ) .

Diane , I'm glad to know your girls will let you know of their arrival . One of my daughters friends did the same holiday with friends a few weeks ago , she had a lovely time but I gather it is quite expensive there ? I hope they don't run out of cash :-0
