I'm slowly getting used to it, Linda. It was rather odd when Drew was playing games on my IPad and he organised my apps into folders. I had to ask him what he had done as the screen looked different. He sighed and explained that he had 'tidied' up my IPad :-0

It's quite demeaning to be thought of as being in nursery when in fact you are a preschooler :-D

Drew explained to me about percentages when we picked the children up from the bus stop yesterday. Apparently I know nothing about the subject :-S

I haven't checked the rain barrels to see if they are full again, I hope so because the water was getting short

I remember when at Eve's age my daughter seemed to have a permanent egg size bump on her forehead :-(

I think it has actually stopped raining now. A bucket left on the yeard has about four inches of water in it.

She is at an age when she is covered in bruises, she is always pointing them out.

Do try to keep up Grandma - everyone knows that pre-school isn't called nursery when you're quite grown up :-D

It is raining, though still very humid. I talked to Eve on Skype, apparently she had been brave when she fell of a bike at nursery. Sorry, pre school - she has moved up into the pre school room and pulls us up if we call it nursery now.

My daughter thinks they can cope,so I am staying home for now

I can now see out of my fringe again. I only bought one t shirt while I was in town, a bit of a poor show fr me really

Errrrr.....Linda I do have ironed clothing. It's just that it's not me who does it :-D

Sue, if you look on eBay, you should be able to order new rush or cane. OH redid a stool we have by ordering it online

Diane and Tec, good for you in holding up the ironing standards of the thread. I wouldn't dream of not ironing most things, I don't do socks though! I must admit that OH does most of our ironing now, but if he didn't I would do it. My daughter never irons anything, it really irks me that Eve's little dresses are all creased with the collars turned up

I am off for a hair cut this morning, it will be nice to be able to see again.

It was another sunny day today ............... that means we've set a new record for the number of sunny days in July!

There is some murmuring that we might see a drop or two of rain late tomorrow

I have been here for a while, but as usual, you all went off to bed whilst I was reading your posts!

No rain here Sue. Must be coastal. I wish we would get some now and again. I get so tired of having to water the pots - and the poor gardens never get watered. My son-in-law and grandson came around a couple of weeks ago and trimmed my roses and geraniums and grandson (10) replaced the globe in my garden light, but the poor plants have to wait for rain, as I can't stand on my feet long enough to water them. I really don't know how they manage to keep alive!

Linda - good to hear the baby is progressing. Hope your daughter regains her strength before baby comes home. By the way, how do you pronounce Esme? Is it Esmee or Esmay? I've known both ways and I wondered. I like to get names right, although I doubt that I would ever need to know. It's just a 'thing' I have, not wanting to annoy people by calling them by the wrong name.
