Amanda the photo's should be on my status feed, I'll check :-S

Tec I'm fine thank you, just need to have a stiff talk to myself about going out more while the weather is nice.
How are you and OH coping with the heat.

Tecwyn Report 2 Aug 2013 22:06

Hello Amanda - You must have very upper crust hens who obviously prefer onyx eggs to common old china ones :-D

It was a nice day here after a heavy shower, and there was a stiff breeze coming off the sea and straight in through the open window - quite pleasant when you're working.

What a strange sunflower :-) I've met two faced people, but never a two faced sunflower :-D The birds will enjoy the seeds in the winter.

Good evening Tec . I think the fake eggs can be used for various tricks . The girls cetainly seem to like the onyx one :-S

I hope your wall painting went well and that it has cooled down a bit in your area . It was sweltering here again today , even after a good old thunder storm :-S It does feel cooler outside now that night has fallen , thank goodness .

I found an anomaly in the garden today . One of my sunflowers has a bloom on it that looks both ways :-0 as in , there are two faces , joined back to back . I have never come across one before . It is one of those multi headed sunflowers and the weird one is the only such bloom on the plant . MOst strange :-S

Hello Diane, How are you?

Glad that your Grand daughters are home safely - hope they had a good time in Ibiza. I've never been there so no idea what it's like, though it seems to be very popular, especially with the youngsters.

Hello Linda ,Amanda and Jem :-)

Congratulations Jem on the birth of your grandson No2, bonnie boy and good job your daughter didn't have to go another 3 weeks :-)

Linda the photo of Esme on FB is gorgeous and she looks quite bonnie, I hope the results of the test come back clear <3

Amanda I have heard of that trick with the egg before, wouldn't like to be the chicken who pecked it though :-D

Well all my grand-daughters are safely back home and have lovely tan's, I have shared a few of the photo's they put up on FB.

Congratulations Jemima on the arrival of your new Grandson. I hope that your daughter will soon be feeling better after a difficult birth.
Quite a big baby boy :-)

Gosh - I'm glad men don't have babies :-0

Amanda I remember my Grandfather putting china eggs in the nest boxes - never understood why. Thought it was something to do with getting the hens to lay :-D

Linda I expect that you've been flitting about with the feather duster today. I did the washing, and then painted some walls.

Amanda2003 Report 2 Aug 2013 21:36

Hello Linda , I hope that everything comes back clear for Esme as well <3 such a great deal of worry for you all :-(

We did have an egg pecker ( Miranda , the one that was attacked by the othersand had to live in the shed for weeks on end ) . I am wondering if it is her that has suddenly got a taste for her flock mates eggs :-0 Apparently one has to look for the guilty one , it would of course have egg on it's face :-)

Hello Amanda, I think I remember that you had the same egg problem once before.

Esme is putting a bit of weight back on, but she still has to be tube fed. They think that there may be some genetic problem, but it will be another week before all of the genome array results to come back before they can make a diagnosis. I am just hoping that everything comes back clear.

Congratulations on the arrival of your new Grand son Jem :-D I hope your daughter soon gets over the difficulty of the birth .
I did look in last night and saw all the paceing but I had I splitting headache so didn't join in ( even though I was paceing along with everyone else ) . I hope you can catch up with some rest now .

Linda , the new photo of Esme is lovely , she really looks as if she is gaining weight well .... bless her <3

Diane , you asked how the hens where getting on a few days ago , we have been having problems with a rouge eat destroyer :-| I read up on how to deal with it and put a fake egg in the nest box ( actually it is an onyx egg that I've had as an ornament for years ) , the theory is the egg fiend will not enjoy hurting it's beak :-S it seems to have worked so far and the hens have switched egg laying box specially to lay their ones with the fake egg :-S they are weird creatures ......lol

I hope everyone is ticking along okay :-D

Congratulations Jem, your poor daughter has had a hard time. I hope the bay will pick up very soon

The error message appears just about every time I post. To get to the last page of the thread, i just click on "post date" You will see that on the top of the page towards the left. That jumps you straight to the past post, although you have to read from the bottom to the top, but you soon get used to that

Hi Aussie Thread Gang!!! :-) :-)

GRANDSON 2 BORN EARLY HOURS OF THIS MORNING <3 (daughter does not remember what time, but around 2) on my husband’s mother and his sister’s birthdays. She says that he is handsome with a head of dark hair.

It was a very difficult birth. She was induced, 3 weeks early (although I debate that!) BABY WEIGHING 9lbs 8 and a half ozs.

Baby was in distress and she could not push him out. They had to use a suction cup, then they saw that the cord was around his neck. He had breathing difficulties, and has been taken to a special unit in the hospital where he is in an incubator, on breathing apparatus. He is also on precautionary Anti-Biotics. I don’t think there is any real worry though. He had to have x-rays of his shoulders.

Daughter was in a lot of pain, and has had a cocktail of pain relief from a paracetamol drip to morphine!!

Only Mum and Dad are allowed to see him at the moment, but they have forwarded a photo to my phone.

Granddaughter 4 had to be taken back to sleep in her own bed at 12.30a.m! I don’t do other peoples houses very well, doesn’t matter who they are, so I didn’t sleep till this afternoon!

I haven’t read back yet, so talk to you soon when I have!
Love Jem <3

PS- Does anyone else have the same problem that I have in getting to the last page of this thread? I have to "climb" the pages a 100 or so at a time or I get the dreaded "ERROR" message!!! :-| :-S :-P

Just closing down for the night and thought I would pop in to see if I can stop pacing yet. However, I am being over-anxious, but hope it will all be over very soon now.
Linda - hope your baby is progressing well. Give her a little hug from me, please.

Sue - had a nice day which got to 20 again. Only 17 tomorrow, but no wind as yet - so where are the August winds? I'd better not say more. I might be sorry I said that.

I do often curtsey to you Sue... but generally fall over in the process..

Just put a joke on Scozzie's thread but my joke was clean and that is not a thread for clean ones LOL..

But I thought it funny.

Checking in to see if the little one has arrived yet - still pacing :-)

Do you always curtesy, Miss Persie? I've never noticed before :-D

Persephone

Persephone Report 2 Aug 2013 08:26

I have found some of Carole's ancestry very interesting and we share an interest but not a family sadly.

Been to the dentist today, and I have not been eating toffees and I am not fond of chocolate eclairs.

Jem I shall pop in and see how this baby is progressing and will let my fingers do the pacing on the laptop.

Linda .. will also watch "our" Esme's progress and look forward to the day when she is on the all clear to head home to her "big" sister's place.

Tec .. you do suck silently, could not hear you at all :-)

Take care all, curtseys to Sue and departs..
