Sorry Everyone,

Baby's not doing well. Was "listening" to you all as you always cheer me up. Was not going to comment as I didn't want to spoil the mood of the thread, but couldn't stop myself from joining in "The war of the Rolls"!
Please don't stop your banter, I was enjoying it- Love Jem <3

Good Morning Sue,

You could clip your diamond earings on, instead of making holes in your ears.

It would have been churlish not to buy an orchid from the man - and it was very kind of him to give you three more.

Hello Jemima - How is your daughter, and new Grandson today?
You obviously know the difference between a bun and a roll :-D

The North/South divide must be a wall of buns and bread rolls :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Aug 2013 22:48

Well you shouldn't as you come from Leeds

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Aug 2013 22:46

What strange conversations you two have :-D

I do have my ears pierced, Tec - how else could I wear my diamond earrings? I do not swing from trees half naked - I do have standards :-|

Yesterday (Sunday) we went to the markets as the sun was shining and we thought it would be nice to walk around. It was very chilly so we didn't stay for long. However......we happened to meet a gentleman selling orchids :-D This man used to work with my OH but retired some years ago. He and his wife are downsizing as he can no longer look after a large garden. I have visited this garden and it is beautiful with a large area devoted to his orchids. Just out of politeness you understand I bought a large orchid. Then while I was chatting to his very nice wife he put three more into a bag for me with a little book about caring for them. Wasn't that nice of him :-)

May have escaped your attention, but I actually live North of London, but I've never heard of a bread bun.

Buns are, well buns.

Bread rolls are, well bread :-D

You're a funny lot up there :-(
