Jemima, There are times when it is so hard to understand why things are the way they are. Sometimes things hurt so much it is hard to talk about it, but as has been said, the support, understanding, and care for each other on Sue's thread has helped several of us through the most difficult times over the last four years.
Please continue to post, and should you not feel able to talk about things on an open thread, any one of us would be pleased to talk to you via a PM.
Take care.

Well bed time again,
Enjoy your day Sue,
Sleep well Linda,
Goodnight,
Tec

Goodness, it is dreadful that your daughter can't be with him. Esme started off in the intensive care room, then went to the high dependency room and is now in the special care room, but her parents could sit by her 24 hours a day if they wanted. between certain hours one other adult can visit as long as one parent is with them and the siblings can visit as well

JemimaFawr Report 4 Aug 2013 23:22

Only my daughter and her husband have been able to see him, he is in a special unit at the hospital, and even she cannot go in there unless they say so.

I have been looking after the other children, who do not know yet. The oldest my Grandson who I have raised does know. He is 14 and has been a big support to me, especially with entertaining his 5 year old sister, who is very, very busy.

Oh Jem, that is so sad, your poor daughter must be so worried. It is an awful feeling when you want to make everything right for them, but there is nothing you can do

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Aug 2013 23:18

Oh dear Jem - how awful for you and your family. Your poor daughter must be in a real state. Have you been able to see him?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Aug 2013 23:14

I am not an Essex boy - born in Wales - dragged away by my father - returned to Wales by my mother, and lived here ever since - sort of.

In Wales we have bread rolls - and we have buns - see Jemima knows :-)

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 4 Aug 2013 23:14

I don't know where to start really. He may not make it. He has tubes in his throat, stomach, head, infact most places. He cannot breathe without the machine. They have him on morphine. They don't really know the extent of what is wrong, but he should not be the weight he is while being so undeveloped internally. He is jaundiced and he hasn't passed water.

My daughter is very distraught. She had a still- born at the same hospital, disputably through their negligence. She feels that she should have had a Caesarian, but they wouldn't hear of it.

Sorry everyone, I shouldn't have joined in. Sorry Linda I know you are so worried about Esme.

I feel bad cos I haven't told Shaun and the Welsh thread yet,and Shaun is so caring. But you are all so funny on here that I couldn't help myself!

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Aug 2013 23:08

Of course not Tec, they are both northerners unlike you Essex boys

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Aug 2013 23:06

Jemima - I'm very sorry to hear that - my thoughts are with you all. <3

I don't think they threw bread rolls and buns at each other during the war between the Houses of York and Lancaster.
