We hope she will be out soon Persie, but they still have to wait to find out what is wrong with her and what on going care she is going to need. We are still hoping for a miracle. I will feel happier when the results of the gene tests are in

Jem, I did read yesterday how your little bloke had turned a corner, and I did type up a response but the internet said no way will we let you press submit

As you said he has turned a corner and around that corner is lots of hope and good things so we all breathe again.

Esme also seems to be getting a thorough MOT Linda.. sounds like she will be receiving her certificate soon and ready for lots of home TLC.

We all help our kids Jem, that is what parents are for

It's lovely that you are able to give them support even when you live so far away from them Linda. I'm sure they greatly appreciate it.

They don't have any relatives nearby Jem, we try to go down once a month and if Eve can't go to nursery, I jump on the train. Her father works from home,so he can cover for immediate emergencies

It will be hard for your daughter not having you nearby Linda. It also must be worrying for you. Does she have any other close relatives living nearer?

We only live about a 3 minutes walk away from my daughter. It means we see the children regularly, and can be there quickly in an emergency, but it is not always a good thing!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-S

Esme had Oxygen for a few days as well. They are a five hour drive from us, so not exactly handy

Thankyou both for your kind concern. My daughter did not go in today as she has a chest infection. Her husband went this morning. Baby's having oxygen through nose, and they are having to regulate that as the levels are up and down. He's been crying today, but he was to weak to cry before, so that's a good thing perhaps?

Linda- I'm so sorry for little Esme. You are all going through a terrible time too. As Sue says though, they are being very thorough. It will be lovely for you all if she can go home. Do they live near you?

My daughter is fine Sue, it will be easier for her if she doesn't have to go into the hospital all of the time though. On the other hand she has been managing to get a good long sleep at night and she will have to feed every three hours once Esme comes home, as well as expressing the milk because she needs it from the bottle

Poor Esme - they are certainly thorough with the tests they're are putting her through. How is your daughter coping? She must be exhausted. It would be great if Esme can go home.

Jem - I just read your post. Things are looking up for your little boy :-)

I was just talking to my daughter, t are talking about letting Esme come home at the weekend with the tube in.

She had a brain scan yesterday and she is having a Barium meal tomorrow. They are trying to get the heart scan brought forward, but that scanner is very booked up

It was the actress Minnie Driver Sue, her grandparents who she didn't know came from Stockton

I won't be on late today as I have some interviews to do this morning. It's cold and windy outside and I would rather stay home and read all day :-(

My brother invited me onto a site on FB for people who grew up and went to school where we did. I sat up till late reading loads of stories about the characters and shops we all remember. Sadly people who have passed as well as those who went on to bigger and better things. I was lost in the past :-D
