All of my old schools have been demolished :-(

Good that you are in contact with people you used to know Sue. I've never been in contact with anyone from school since the day I left.
I have never been involved with FB.
My old school does have its own website, and I've seen a few names there that I recognise.

It's too cold to be in the pink :-0

I've just been added to a group on FB by my brother. It's full of people from the town I grew up in and the who went to the same schools as I did. I've chatted to a few people I used to know.

Perhaps I should have asked if she is bright eyed and bushy tailed today :-D

Hello friends :-)

It's great that the barium test shows good results - one more to tick off the list.

The ceiling can wait, Tec :-|

Yes that would be good.........but things have to be done with the least disturbance.

My emoticons have disappeared?

How about if I suggest you get the local decorator to do it :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 8 Aug 2013 22:20

It has been suggested that I do the walls, and gloss painting picture rails, door, skirting boards etc, and she will come back with SIL in about three weeks to do the ceiling and freeze sp,. We have very high ceilings here, and as find that difficult not being able to work for long with my arms above my head then that would be a help a help.

I hope she persuaded you to leave the decorating until she comes back

I hope very much that Esme is allowed home soon - it will be so much better for everyone, especially her mother.

Hello Linda,

I don't know if we passed the cat's inspection or not :-D. Very odd.

I have walked along the coastal path on my own, but never persuaded the Duchess to try it. My daughter can be very persuasive :-D.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Aug 2013 22:03

Oh dear, you will have to redecorate the whole house to come up to the cats standards

It sounds like a nice day out with the Duchess, now you have tried the path out, you will be able to go again

I have since spoken to my daughter and this test was for the bottom of the esophagus and the stomach. It seems they will be doing a different one for the swallowing. They are having a meeting tomorrow about coming home

Hello,

It is good that the Barium test was ok Linda, but it must be very frustrating waiting for the results of other tests. I suppose the more sophisticated the test the longer it takes for results.

My daughter went home today. It was lovely having her here if only for a couple of days. It was a break for her as she loves to be at the coast, and a nice change for us too.
Yesterday we went for a walk along the coastal path, with the Duchess on her scooter. A long distance of the path was tarmacked last year and is ideal for scooters, wheelchairs, and cyclists. It runs parallel to a lovely beach, and views across Cardigan Bay.

This evening we had a visit from a beautiful white cat, with blue eyes. She walked in through the front door that was open. Inspected the whole house, including upstairs, then after coming to look at us she then left :-D

I had a text from my daughter to say that the Barium meal went well and they said straight away that the tube from the mouth to the stomach looks OK, so that is one thing crossed off the list. I wish the results of the gene tests would come quickly.

I have had a fairly lazy day today. Yesterday I cut back lots of the raspberry canes, picked, blanched and froze lots of runner beans and cooked and bottled more beetroot. I also picked lots of Blackcurrants for a friend who wanted some but couldn't be bothered to pick them herself. i must be mad :-|

Hi Linda :-) I guess the waiting is the hardest part. Fingers crossed that all is well <3
