They have had their discharge meeting today and Esme is coming home on Sunday,. They still have lots of test results to come and she still will have the feeding tube in,she isn't making any progress in her feeding,so goodness knows what is wrong.

My daughter is staying at the hospital tonight in a room with Esme to show them that she can cope. She is supposed to be there for two nights, but they don't have a room for Saturday night,so she will be able to go home to get some sleep. Esme needs to be fed every three hours, by he time she has been seen to and my daughter has expressed more milk, it will be bout an hour, so she will then only have two hours before she has to feed her again. Being a new mother is very tiring. They are going to have to keep going back to the hospital as well of course, still getting her home is a good step forward

Thank you Berona, nothing else to report baby wise since I spoke to my daughter last night, but they have their meeting today.

I have just booked a holiday for September,so I am praying that my sister doesn't get her palace invite in the next few days. They get five weeks notice and she hasn't had it yet. If it came in the next few days it would be in the second week we are away, so naturally it is bound to be then.

Thankyou for your kind concern Berona and everyone. Our baby is now out of Intensive Care, so we are much more confident that the worse is over. :-)

Thankyou Everyone-Jem <3

Hi all. Nothing to report. Yesterday, we had out coldest day for two years . (I knew our touch of summer wouldn't last). Anyway, not so bad to-day. Temps back up again. Wind is cold though - and we had a couple of light showers overnight.

Just popped in to say that I keep coming in to check on the babies. I'm pleased to see that they are both progressing and I hope they will continue to do so. Keep us informed, Linda and Jemima. I keep thinking of the little ones.

Good morning, the 1921 Canadian census has been released on Ancestry, so I am taking a look. Unfortunately it isn't indexed yet. I know which town I need to look at, but there are lots of sub divisions, so I will just have to browse through the image

I'm watching a programme presented by Huw Edwards the news reader, on Welsh history. There were so many bloody battles between the Welsh and the English, it's a wonder anyone was left to live here :-D

Tecwyn Report 8 Aug 2013 23:13

Hello Jemima - Very pleased to hear that your little grandson is improving so well now. Congratulations on becoming a Step Great Grandmother :-D.
I agree, there is nothing like the view of the sea, in all her moods, to lift one's spirits :-).

Sue, it is a shock to see that people of our own age have passed on, though I suppose as we get older it is inevitable.

Linda, maybe they thought that when you had left school their work was over, so demolished the school :-D

Hello Jem - lovely news. You must be very relieved. I'm so pleased that your daughter and SIL have been able to hold their little one. Bonding is so important.

SueMaid Report 8 Aug 2013 22:58

It's a very busy page. Sadly one of the threads is about people we knew who have passed on. I saw a few names I knew and it was strange because I didn't know that some of them had died.

Lots of wonderful photos - I now have to dig out some of my old school photos :-D My brother says he is now in contact with a few of his old school mates.

Hi Sue, Linda, Tec and Everyone :-)

BRILLIANT NEWS ABOUT ESME'S BARIUM TEST LINDA :-):-)

Our baby is now off oxygen and his parents held him for the first time today :-) :-)
I am now also a Step-Great Grandmother- My daughter's Step-Daughter had their first Grandchild today. A little girl. :-)
My Daughter's not too happy about being a Granny at 33 though!!!

Tec- I'm glad you have had a lovely visit from your daughter. It's lovely that your wife was able to go on that walk with you. There is nothing like sea air and wonderful views to lift the spirits. :-)

Persie- Thankyou for your message. Yes I think he's over the worse now!

Hi everyone else <3
