Tec has seen you reclining before Linda , when you where sprawled out on the beach I believe :-S :-0

I hope your throat etc feels better soon x

It is an electric machine Amanda - threading the thing is difficult, but I will get the hang of it eventually :-(
It will certainly be a culture shock for the children, and their mother who has lived here all her life. As you say, they are young, and will adapt - I hope.

Hello Jemima - So pleased to see that your new grandson is doing well - must be a huge relief to his parents, and to you too.

As the only male on this thread I try my best to be quick witted, but can never keep up with this lot :-D.

So eat scones without me :-|

Although I disapprove of shop bought ones , I expect the jam to be homemade as well.

I have changed to my tablet, so expect typos.

I have a sore throat and headache so just wanted to lay down (TEC avert your eyes)

Jem , I hope they find a name for him soon :-) and I'm so pleased to know he is doing so well .

I only called the " girls " chooks because I know our Aussie friends use that word . I'm one of contributers to the thread that is on this side of the world , I'm in Norfolk .

Hi Amanda and Tec,

My new Grandson is doing really well now. Thankyou so much for asking :-)
His jaundice is now almost gone. He's feeding well and is so good. He only cries when he's hungry. They are still deliberating on names.

You made me laugh when you talked about the "chooks". It reminded me of when I used to watch the Aussie soaps!!

Tec- so glad that your neighbours came to see you and have left an address. It's sad when you have become attached and then they move. But at least now you will be able to keep it touch.

Amanda2003 Report 15 Aug 2013 22:08

Tec , no doubt it will be something of a culture shock for the children but they will have the adaptability of the young on their side :-)

Oh dear-I've missed Linda- Goodnight Linda! Sleep well

Tecwyn Report 15 Aug 2013 22:05

Goodnight Linda - have a good read, then sleep.

Amanda I hope your daughter manages to resuscitate that computer :-D

The children will benefit in some ways, but I have misgivings about the environment they have moved into - so very different to here, but then I think perhaps we don't live in the real world here.

Hello Jem :-) I shall pass your good wishes onto my daughter , thank you .
I hope your little Grandson is getting better , have they decided on a name for him ?

Good night Linda .

Good luck with the sewing machine Tec , is it an electric one ? are you getting in a muddle threading it up ? or are you just trying to learn how to sew a straight line ?

Hi Everybody-

Well Linda, I was going to share my scone with you tonight, but as we like nothing better than going in the car for a picnic- I am not so sure now!!!!! :-0 :-D :-D

No it's ok, you can all have one. It's "Morrisons Finest Fruit Scone" made with clotted cream. Tea or coffee? OH is making it! :-D Do you want butter and/or strawberry jam?

Tec- considering how unwell you are at the mo, you are as entertaining as ever! You, Linda and Sue make me laugh so much with your quick wit! :-D

Amanda- Well done to your daughter and wishing her all the very best for her future :-)

I am tired, so I am going to sign off to go and read.

Goodnight Tec and Amanda

Hello upside down people when you get up

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 15 Aug 2013 22:00

I do have a few things to pick up anyway, that I couldn't manage on Tuesday, so not a complete waste of journey.

As I can't gallop about in my usual fashion, I'm going to have a go at getting to grips with the sewing machine again - gave up last time, and no I didn't get a needle through my finger :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 15 Aug 2013 21:56

You should buy her a new computer Amanda :-D

Amanda2003 Report 15 Aug 2013 21:52

Good evening Tec , sorry I hadn't spotted you there earlier :-0

I will pass on your congratulations to Meg when she is in a better mood , she is currently doing battle with an old computer in her room , trying to bring it back to life judgeing the noises coming from above :-0 :-|

I expect you are going to miss the family from down the road but it is good that you will be able to keep in touch :-)
I hope the parents have made the right decision for the childrens futures :-S

Oh well, you get another trip out tomorrow

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 15 Aug 2013 21:46

Yes I can have a look at where they've gone. The children will miss the freedom of this village, as they now live in a big town.

Good idea about the gin bottle :-D I wish.

Tomorrow I go back to see the nurses - pity they couldn't see me today while I was in the building.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 15 Aug 2013 21:37

It was nice that they hadn't left without saying goodbye Tec.

If you have the address, you can use the street view on google maps to see what it looks like

I am sorry you had to get up again in the night, it sounds like you need your gin bottle by the bed

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 15 Aug 2013 21:30

Yes Linda - I can't really rave on one leg :-D
Hardly any sleep again last night - got up at 3am and prowled around the house.
Was on Ancestry for about three hours :-D

Oh I forgot to say. My mini fan club turned up today with their mother. They had come to pick up some stuff left at the house - and came to say their goodbyes.
She left their address and e-mail.
I am horrified by the description of where they have gone to - best not think about it :-0

LindainHerriotCountry Report 15 Aug 2013 21:07

Well, just get your leg better first Tec
