I don't like the sound of your physio, it sounds like exercise and I am not a believer in that :-)

Eve is fine, she likes her little sister. Your granddaughter is just a nice age to have a new baby, a little more trustworthy than a three year old who needs to be watched all the time

Good Morning Sue - How are you today?

The site is dreadfully slow tonight Linda - well it is for me.

God morning Sue, have you had your breakfast?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 16 Aug 2013 22:17

Jemima - Best not to think about next week at the physio then :-D

I once had treatment from the physio - he was trying to make me do things I couldn't do when I was perfectly fit :-(

Hi Linda,

I'm sorry that you are still under the weather. Your poor daughter! Glad Esme's feeding is going ok, hope the results come soon. How is Eve?

Hi Huia- How are you? Have you done any more photographic assignments?

I find it hard to be assertive in situations like that too Tec. Always worrying about what other people think. But if your ulcers become unbearable, and other subsequent probs, you do need to see the sister. Why should you have to advise the nurse!!!!

Thankyou all for asking about the physio. It was my first time so it was more about assessing my problems today- I was more uncomfortable when I came out. In fact I was in quite a lot of pain!! :-|

No leg stretching this week Tec!-that delight is yet to come- next week! :-| :-D
No, the Weapons of Extreme Torture this week were aimed at my neck area and arms!:-D

Lovely young lady Physiotherapist. She was very thorough. She asked 100s of questions, poked and prodded areas I didn’t know existed! She confirmed that I have arthritis in my neck (spondylosis) She says I also have a problem in my wrists which is causing tingling in my hands and says I have to wear splints on both wrists. Next week she is going to assess lower back and hip cos of disc pressing on nerve (causing sciatica) and arthritis. Apart from all that I’m fine!!!! :-) :-)

Well I understand what Tec is saying about the bed. I find if somebody says some place is west of another I have to turn to face north so I can picture it!

Hello Jem

I am fine, I just have a cold, I have had a sore throat and not felt very well for a few days, but it is only minor.

Look away Tec, the following is ladies talk

My poor daughter is experiencing the NHS on go slow tonight. She had to go to A&E because she had some retained placenta and it decided to come away, but she was losing too much blood. She wasn't worried because she had the same thing after Eve was born. She is fine now, but is waiting for an ultrasound to see if any-more is left behind.

Esme is at home with dad, he has lots of expressed milk in the fridge and freezer so can cope. I don't know if they had any test results today, I am just communicating with my daughter by text and haven't asked. Her feeding is just the same though

I can speak to the Sister on Monday Linda - I've known her for many years - she's ok.

Good Evening Jemima - How's you today? well I hope. Did the physio torture you?

My GP won't look at leg ulcers - I think it's beneath him :-D
I may try to get the Sister to look at it, but don't want offend the nurse I'm seeing.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 16 Aug 2013 22:00

stop being so nice Tec. If the nurse has seen you twice and has no idea what she is doing, make sure you talk to the sister on Monday morning, unless they are open tomorrow. You have the duchess to look after as well

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 16 Aug 2013 21:55

It is amazing how poorly stocked the dressing cupboard is these days.

It is a good idea to check if they have correct dressing - the Sister at the practice is very good with ulcers, but it's awkward to ask for someone else isn't it.

On the other hand, it's my leg, and me that's suffering.

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 16 Aug 2013 21:55

Hi Sue, Linda, Tec and Everybody :-)
How are you all today?

TEC :-) - Just read about your leg. So sorry. :-( Can you tell the surgery that you need to see a doctor, or someone who knows what they are doing?!!!

How are you LINDA? :-) How's your family? How is Esme's feeding coming along? Have you had the results of the genes test yet?

PERSIE-:-) Hope your family are safe and sound following the earthquake. Any damage to your daughter’s property? Funny story about the school. Children say the funniest things!

BERONA :-) and Everyone- The baby’s name is probably going to be Jamie. The argument is over the spelling of it. Daughter wanted to spell it Jayme, but it’s more associated with a girl’s name spelled that way.
