Goodnight Tec - hope you sleep well tonight <3

Yes it is important for children to have interests outside of school.

Sadly, I notice that so few families seem to do things as a family now. Too many children are left to their own devices to amuse themselves.
I must say my daughter and SIL were very good in that respect. Most of their weekends were taken up taking grand daughter to follow her interests.
Grand daughter was seriously into horse riding, and competed at gymkhana's at Inter County level all over the place. She did very well at it too, in dressage, and cross country, show jumping etc.
Unfortunately, as her A-Levels got nearer she had to give it up, and when she wanted to learn to drive they couldn't afford everything.
Now she has joined an equestrian club at Uni, and just keeps her hand in by going for rides at weekends.

Well, I must go to bed now,

Enjoy your Sunday Sue,

Helloo Berona, Persie,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

I'm glad you were able to get a good night's sleep Tec - it does make a difference. I hope you can get some relief when you see the Sister this next week.

I'd love to have played the piano Tec but I never had the opportunity.

I like how there is so much for children to do these days to encourage whatever talent they have. Of course some children become bogged down with after school activities but something away from the school is always good for children. They get to meet other children and broaden their horizons. Our children were all sporty so our weekends were spent running them around from one football and softball field to another but we did it together as a family.

I actually slept through the night Sue, the first time for a week. It was wonderful. It was hell on legs, literally :-(, when I did put my foot on the floor this morning. I hope I will be so lucky tonight again - it makes such a difference.

Goodnight Jemima - sleep well,

It is good that Drew has an interest in music Sue - great when a child discovers that they have a talent for something, and it should be encouraged,. As you say it will boost his confidence to be with others with a similar interest.

My mother taught me to play piano, as she was a brilliant pianist. Unfortunately I didn't keep it up, and haven't played for years. My fingers couldn't cope now anyway :-D

My goodness Tec - you gave me quite a start then :-D

Goodnight Jem - sweet dreams <3

Are you still finding it difficult to sleep, Tec?

Tecwyn Report 17 Aug 2013 23:34

iT'S SO GOOD THAT WE CAN ACCESS PROGRAMMES WE'VE MISSED. there IS A WAY OF PUTTING IT THROUGH THE TELEVISION, BUT THE TV HAS TO BE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET.

Sorry for shouting - didn't notice caps :-(

I've been looking for a little song I heard called "The Colour Of The Wind"
but can't find it - lovely little song too.

Thank you, Tec :-D

I've never been able to sing but I would love to have such a gift. Can't play any instruments either. Drew is shaping up to be a little superstar. He loves singing and even at his young age he has a good ear for music and can hold a tune. The little group he practises with has built up his confidence as he is a quiet and shy boy.

Me gloat? never :-D

Yes it would have been very emotional for AnnC, but hopefully now she will be able to watch the video's she has of her OH.

Sending you the chocolate I saved you - but don't eat it all as there is enough to share with your OH :-D

I've accessed it now, and I can actually hear the concert while I'm in all the other tabs! When you get S4/Clic up, it's easy to follow. Just click on "Catch Up" then click on which day. Then click on "Pencerdd Pendyrus".

I used to have a lovely singing voice, but something happened to it about 8 years ago and it's not good now. :-(

SueMaid Report 17 Aug 2013 23:23

You were gloating, Tec - and yes I will have some of your chocolate :-)

I also read AnnC's thread - it must have been a lovely but sad moment for her when she saw her OH with the choir.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Aug 2013 23:21

Thank you Jemima, I will watch it tomorrow. I do enjoy the Welsh Male Voice Choirs.
My OH was in a North Wales mixed choir years ago. They competed at Llangollen, toured Europe in competition, and she once sang solo in the Royal Albert Hall at a concert of a thousand voices.

I can't sing a note :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Aug 2013 23:15

I did save you some chocolate :-(

I do hope you haven't got out the wrong side of the bed again :-0

Tec-
I've just noticed your comment to AnnC on her thread. If you go to S4/Clic you can watch S4/C live or catch up on I think a week's programmes on your computer.

Lovely and Sad for Ann all at the same time! :-(

We won't get indigestion Sue. It was a really deep, light, Victoria sponge with raspberry jam, and cream. Absolutely delicious - We did enjoy it :-D
