They are fine, I haven't spoken them today, but we Skyped yesterday and Eve was showing us her new slippers. They are dogs and the ears flap up and down when she walks

It's the August Bank holiday here tomorrow Sue. It is nice to have good weather for the holiday weekend, especially for the tourists on the coast :-)

Very annoying Linda - bad enough breaking your favourite dish, but cutting your finger as well is adding insult to injury.

How are Eve and Esme?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 25 Aug 2013 22:26

That's right, Linda - I forgot you have wooden floors.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Aug 2013 22:24

It will be about 22 here tomorrow which is fine

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Aug 2013 22:22

No the floor is wood Tec. I was getting the dish out of the cupboard but as I lifted one of the top of the one I wanted, I dropped it. As they clashed together one broke and cut my finger

I hope you didn't chip a tile, Linda. My daughter dropped a heavy saucepan and she chipped the corner of one of the tiles.

I've just been outside - it looks like another sunny day but it's very chilly.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Aug 2013 22:18

Have you got a tiled kitchen floor Linda? very unforgiving.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Aug 2013 22:07

I dropped my favourite oven dish and cut it on that,so I will have to buy new dish now

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 25 Aug 2013 22:05

Of course you would, Linda - I would :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Aug 2013 22:04

In short - yes :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Aug 2013 22:03

Would I do that ;-)

Tecwyn

Good Morning Sue - I know that you will have more sympathy than Linda for my bitten bum :-D

Linda - You're not milking that injury are you? :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Aug 2013 22:00

Good morning Sue. Are we amusing you?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Aug 2013 21:55

maybe you should mention it when you go to the clinic.

It has stopped bleeding, but it is sore when I catch it. Nothing like your ulcer of course, so I have nothing to complain about really.
Except i will try to get OH to wait on me for a little while longer :-D

I did have to get him to cut my meat up at dinner time because I couldn't manage it myself. I resorted to eating American style with just a fork in my right hand

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 25 Aug 2013 21:53

:-D :-D :-D Oh you two!!

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Aug 2013 21:48

I just knew that would amuse you :-( No I haven't had a tetanus jab for many years, probably about 20 years.

I do get irate at the noise of the helicopter, although it's not often in fairness. The jazz band is quite good, especially the sax, that I love. I did sit in the garden listening for a while until things started to bite me - apart from Taffy :-D.
I wouldn't expect to get invited to the party. Those people are not sociable to the natives, and we are regarded as peasants I think, not to be encouraged :-D

Hope you have stopped bleeding now. I hate cutting myself because of the warfarin it always looks like a massacre

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Aug 2013 21:37

Oh dear Tec, that did make me laugh, but poor you. Have you had a tetanus injection recently?

I think that your neighbours could have invited you along as well if you have had to endure the noise.

I am right handed, but the cut was deep and wouldn't stop bleeding,so I couldn't drip blood all ove rthe keyboard

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Aug 2013 21:29

I am sorry that you are injured Linda - I hope you are no longer sitting there with your hand in the air.
Are you left handed? the best people are you know.

We have been entertained today. A huge marquee went up in the garden two houses down yesterday, so I knew something was afoot. Today the helicopter arrived at about 11 am, making the usual racket in the field. Then lots of people started arriving in cars. This afternoon a jazz band arrived, and they were obviously having a barbeque going by the smell wafting across the gardens.
Someone down there can really play a mean saxophone.

Taffy bit my bottom :-D I was throwing his toy for him in the garden. I turned to walk further away when he tried to snatch his toy from me, as he does sometimes. Anyway he missed and bit my bottom instead - quite hard - I now have two puncture marks on my bottom, and it's quite sore too.
I know you will laugh at this - but go ahead - I don't mind :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Aug 2013 17:42

i know you so well sue :-D

sorry about the lack of capitals, i have cut a finger on my left hand so am holding it up in the air. at least i know i have plenty of bright red blood, it looks very nice on the kitchen units
