They'd have to strip the wall first as it's papered, but this time I'm just painting the walls with emulsion as it's easier.

Get them to paint the part behind it an push it back again, that way it will be done when you are well enough to do the rest of the wall

I have a very heavy oak mirror back sideboard on one wall that I can't move on my own, so I'm hoping they will move that so that I can decorate behind it.
Otherwise I'll have to paint around it :-D.

That will be good for you having your family to visit. You may be able to rest your leg as I'm sure you've been told to do.

It is good that they can do it for you Tec. Make them do all the rest as well so you can get the room back together

My daughter, SIL, and grand daughter are coming on Thursday, and will paint the ceiling for me while they are here. They were going to do it anyway, but now that I'm on one leg, I am glad they are doing it.

I think because we talk on Skype so often she doesn't miss us as much.

I will record the phone message as a little video clip onto my computer tomorrow and put it in her photo file. I did one a couple of months ago, it is cute to hear her talking

I know but I did want to go down as it will be the end of September before we could fit in a visit. I didn't want to suggest it as they have Esme, but as the invite came from them that is fine. They have a couple of commitments which will be easier if we are there

I love it when the grandchildren ring up - usually to tell us something that has happened at school. Eve is very clever and certainly knows when she wants grandma to visit. When Aiden was little he couldn't understand why we couldn't visit more often.

When we came home this afternoon, there was a message on the answer phone from Eve. Apparently she wanted to ask us something, but was confused when we weren't there. She recoded a rambling conversation with her mum when she decided that we must have gone on holiday

When I rang back, she told me that she wants us to come to her house. We will go down next weekend to fit it in before we go away
