I am sitting here sipping the coffee... thank you Tec... it is very good coffee..

Glad you are getting sorted Di.. and sorry to read of your topple over. My father had low BP.. and was supposed to take tablets but he was of the she'll be right brigade and did not bother to take them. He got it very late in life though. Not a young thing like you.

The plants I tossed out have had their day - they were old ones. A bit ruthless I know but I don't really have the room under the back pergola to hang on to anything that doesn't look it's best. Of course it's a good excuse to buy more. Also some of the dead plants in garden were annuals who were past their best so it was time for them to go. The marigolds reseed themselves so I just let them pop up wherever they like.

Some of my orchids are starting to flower now and as one of them is scented it smells like Spring in the backyard.

Good morning Sue :-)
I'm feeling fine thank you, yes I am glad things are sorted out with my dad's estate now I can make plan's of laying his ashes to rest without bully brother's interfering.

Tec it was 12-20pm so a bit early to be drunk :-| I have to admit I felt sorry for the 2 young girl's (who were the only one's there the first time I blacked out ) as they would have been in a bit of a panic, fortunately when it happened the second time a lady arrived and took over the phone call to the 999 operator ( she was the one who lay me in the recovery position.

Linda it was, as while the woman was seeing to me and telling me not to get up she made a comment about how annoyed she was that not one person driving past bothered to stop to see if there was any way they could help, but I'm glad they didn't as I felt embarrised enough.

Tec, I know what you mean about the funny looks, the Dr in A+E asked me if I had ever heard the word Vasovagal syncope, I told him I hadn't , he said the symptoms leading up to my black out's were like some-one suffering from this condition, I'm guessing he will have mentioned this in his letter to my GP and further test will be to see if I have this condition.

Jem, yes bit extreem just for an MOT lol, I have to say from the first paramedic who arrived before the ambulance came to being discharged by the Dr everyone who dealt with me were very polite and their bedside manner was brilliant.

Goodnight Linda - Hope you sleep well and feel better tomorrow. Enjoy the grapes :-)

Coffee's ready :-)

I think I have too many pots Sue, so will be taking a hard look at them now. My front garden is mostly paved, with pots out there. I keep the lily's, agapanthus, and geraniums in the front during the summer, and azaleas in winter and Spring, so now that the lily's have gone over they will be demoted to the back garden, and replaced with the azaleas that I keep in the shade in the back for the summer.

Some other things can either be planted out, or thrown away. A couple of things can be planted by the village telephone kiosk rather than waste them.

It's not so bad these days Sue, if you live quite a way away, especially if you can cope with technology, what with Skype, Facebook (although the FB scares me) Telephone etc. It's lovely that you get to chat with Aiden.

SueMaid Report 3 Sep 2013 22:29

Yes Tec - we did some tidying up in the garden. It was lovely and warm in the sun. We got rid of a couple of pot plants that were looking straggly and not worth saving and OH put some compost down. His compost tumbler is giving us some lovely rich compost so he is very pleased with it.

Jemima - we live fairly close to my daughter but we have a son and grandson in Tasmania who we don't see them very often. Aiden is old enough now to ring us so it's always good to chat to him.

Hi Sue,

It's cos Grandson 1 lives with me. The girls live on the way to school, so it makes sense. Also the girls live past the last stop for the buses and so they would need to walk a very busy route.

Going to make the coffee now folks :-)

Hello everyone :-D

Nice to see you Diane - sounds like you had a nasty fall. Hope you feel much better soon. You must be very relieved that your Dad's business is all sorted now. You can move on.

Huia well done you. I'll go and have a look at your great grandson.

Linda - I hope you feel much better soon. You need to get over this before your holiday.

Not too much decorating, Tec :-|

Hello Jemima - you are a busy grandma taking the children to school every day. We only do that now and then when our son in law works further from home. We pick the children up from school two afternoons a week which we enjoy.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 3 Sep 2013 22:21

Diane, that was a nasty experience - good job someone had the sense to call an ambulance, and not just assume you were drunk, as can happen.
Maybe your GP will want to do more blood tests.
I have also had unusually low blood pressure all my life, and anyone taking my BP who doesn't know is quite often startled until I tell them it's normal for me.
I hope you are taking care of yourself, and eating properly. Very easy to neglect yourself when living alone and don't bother with proper meals.
Not nagging - just saying :-D

Oh dear Diane :-( Poor you!
Well, that's one way of getting a thorough check-out in this country- if a bit extreme!!! :-S
Hope you are on the mend. I can quite understand why you worry about going out, but try your best, or fear will really take hold of your thinking, and it will get harder.

Glad you are feeling a bit better Linda, but don't overdo it.

Yes Tec, I am very fortunate to have my Grandchildren living so near. I must remeber never to take it for granted!

Diane

Diane Report 3 Sep 2013 22:18

Hello Linda :-)

Lol but I assure you it was not intentional, yes I'm fine thanks just some yellow/green bruising on knee's / head and fiction scar's on my head.

I'm glad you feel a little better but I don't think you should have gone to cinema duty, when do you go away.

Diane

Diane Report 3 Sep 2013 22:11

Huia well done to you with your photo's :-)

:-D :-D Tec but I think I would rather have paid the bus fare.
I think I have said before that I suffer from low blood pressure and have on occasion's blacked out, well that is what happened on Thursday. I blacked out twice the first time I hit the ground and banged my head and knee's the second time I lay on my side of bus stop seat when I felt I was going to black out again and when I came round the second time a lady had laid me on the floor in the recovery position. An ambulance had already been rung for after the first black out, A+E gave me a full MOT, bloods, blood pressure, sugar levels, E.C.G and endless question's, Dr was thinking about keeping me in for more test but after a discussion with a colleague said I could go home and he would be contacting my own GP and suggested further investigation to be done :-(

Jem I am fine now thank you just bruising and the worry of it happening again when I go out.
