Hi Tec-

Sorry about your leg. Would you ever consider trying Leech Therapy. I think that could work on such things, but I don't know if I could cope with the idea! :-S

Hi Huia-
You'd think that someone's photography done with flair, eye and skill would be worth more than "doctored" photography! I'm sorry that you feel you have to leave your club. Would you consider the photography Thread on the Hobby and Crafts Board?

Hello Linda - Sorry that you're still unwell - I hope you can get better before your holiday - they don't want strange bugs in Croatia you know :-)

It was a lovely sunny warm day here too, but the next few days look awful

Hi Linda :-)

Sorry that you're still not well. I thought I was going in for the same thing. Very bad throat and feeling very queasy this morning, but I think a lot of it is the spondylosis.

Our Shaun on the Wales Thread made red and yellow cherry tomato chutney the other day. Everyone is so domesticated and accomplished on these boards! :-D

Jemima, I probably wont enter any photos in the set subject next month, or November. Next moth it is 'Style' and I cant be bothered trying to find a suitable subject to photograph, and in Nov it is Soft Focus. I will leave it to the people with expensive cameras and photoshop. The judges seem to prefer photos that have been digitally altered with photoshop which I don't have. In fact I wont be renewing my membership next July. I will just stick with taking photos for my own pleasure. The December subject is Black and White, Sepia, or 50 Shades of Grey. I might find some of my photos which I can alter to fit those titles but am not going to spend time looking for something special to photograph. :-(

Hello Jemima,

Sorry that you are not too good today :-0
What a silly policy your doctor has. One problem one appointment. Surely a patient can present with several symptoms that would indicate a specific ailment when taken together and overall.
I hope you will feel better soon.
The ulcer on my leg is much worse and I think it may be infected, so will ask the nurse to take a swab tomorrow to check in case anti-biotics are needed. They used to put me on them straight away if the ulcer broke down to prevent infection, but now you have to get an infection first :-(

Good evening Tec and Jemima

It was a lovely day here. I don't feel very well, but I had thinks to do. I made lots of red tomato chutney this afternoon and stewed lots of apples to freeze

Persie, glad you had a good time in Wellington, and now safely back.

I have become a very rustic country mouse since moving here, and anymore than five cars in convoy constitutes a traffic jam. Can't remember when I last saw a set of traffic lights, or a roundabout. We do have a pedestrian crossing ten miles away.
The last time I ventured into the interior I found myself in four lanes of traffic approaching a huge roundabout with about eight exits - panic - panic, and broke out in a cold sweat. :-D

I can remember years ago driving through London regularly. This entailed driving through the West End, round Trafalgar Square, Parliament Square, Marble Arch, and visiting friends in Bayswater.
The very last time I drove through London was to visit a relative in Guys Hospital, this entailed crossing Southwark Bridge over the Thames.
That was a complete nightmare, and I vowed never to drive in London again, and I haven't. I have the greatest admiration for the London cabbies.

Now I am content to creep along country lanes, where the worst hazard is a stray sheep. :-D

Diane sorry that you appointment was again cancelled - at least they had the decency to notify you before you left home.

Hi Everyone

Very foggy here this morning for the school run at 8.10. Drizzly and horrible.

I am a little under the weather today!

My doctor's surgery has the policy of One problem- one appointment. My argument is- how can the layman know what problem is connected to what? How can the doctor come to the correct diagnosis, and subsequent treatment, if they do not know the overall picture.
I have just googled spondylosis ,and all the niggly complaints that I have been to see her about over the years-unexplained skin problems, chest pains, sudden problems with my ears-tinnitus etc., and many other things that I have had for years, are all symptoms of spondylosis. Even sweating, which I put down to the change, as I have never been one to sweat!

I thought I was coming down with a virus today, and after googling a different website I have discovered the above!!!!!!

Tec- Read on the Welsh Thread that your ulcer is worse. I am so sorry. Hope they can do something tomorrow.

Diane- Hope you are feeling ok and that your head is healing. Sorry about ATrOciouS Atos!

Linda- Hope your throat is getting better. How are the children?

Sue- How are you and your family and the Volunteer Work?

Berona and Amanda- How are you both coping with your arthritis etc?

Huia- What's your next photographic assignment? How is little Riley?

Persie- I love watching the Haka!

Hi~~~~~~~~ to everyone else looking in- Love Jem <3

Hello Berona :-)

yes you are right I will no longer have to have anything to do with any of them except the one sister who I regularly see. She and her OH were here for a visit yesterday and brought me some veg that they have grown.
Have you had any luck yet finding a new Dr ?

Linda I hope you are feeling better today <3

Well surprise surprise my Atos medical appointment was concelled again today :-(
At least they rang me this time before I wasted another journey to the assessment centre and a long wait, they did say I could go but said as they were running behind time I could be waiting for 2 hours or more, the stupid thing is I said well how about I turn up 2 hrs late and then I wouldn't have to wait around and the reply was " no you can't do that you have to sign in the time of your appointment " so now it's another wait for a new appointment, I wonder if that one get's cancelled :-| :-| :-|

Hello Persie, I am pleased that you enjoyed your visit. The one thing we hate about visiting our daughter is the traffic. London is an absolute nightmare to drive in, I would hate to live there

My stay was short and sweet.. sorry had to get ready to go out. Luckily I wrapped up warmly as it was a cold morning.. and then it was very hot driving to my destination. However, it was cold again when I got there and then by the time I had had lunch with a friend and done a bit of grocery shopping the rain was hosing down and the temperature had really dropped.

Did not get away from the mall till after school time and with it being so wet a lot of the children would be collected by mums in cars, none of this walking home in the puddles like when I was at school. So the motorway was chokka and by the time I had done all the stop go through the on ramp lights and then let the next on ramp merge like a zip I was ready to depart at the next off ramp and go through arterial routes albeit through several sets of traffic lights but at least I was not crawling along.

Yes Tec I am back from Wellington and we had a lovely time. I see you and Berona are still going to be Tangoing..

Will try and get on this thread in the morning.

The All Black avatar Jem is because someone put up a thread about 10 things to take on a desert Island and one of Renes ... 10... was The All Blacks. She is very norty.

Hello all. Lovely sunny day here to-day again. It means I have to water my pots, though. We can't have it all ways, can we?

Tec - Rest up! Don't worry about the house or the garden. You take care of that leg. You need it for when we do our Tango on our cruise.

Diane - so pleased to know that you finally settled your Dad's estate. Hope that means that you have no need to contact the family members who gave trouble any more.

Diane I am not surprised that people drove past not bothering to see if you needed help. Some people just won't get involved, no matter what the problem is.
I remember some years ago when in Bangor, a young man was making very strange noises and banging his head on a stone wall with blood pouring from his forehead. People were standing on the opposite side of the road watching, and making rude remarks. Nobody was doing anything for him.
I went to him and made him sit down so as to stop him banging his head. He didn't make any sense, and I guess he was either mentally ill, or possibly on drugs, but it didn't matter, he needed help quickly.
I shouted for someone to phone an ambulance, which arrived and took him away. I wouldn't like to think that my son was in that state and nobody cared - regardless of what was wrong.

Sue I am also going to be a bit ruthless with some of my pots this time.
(then I can fill them up again) :-D

Well I', off to bed now,

Enjoy your day Sue,

Sleep well Diane, and Jemima,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Hi-di-hi Persie :-) had to pop back and say hello, I'v had my problem since I was 13yrs old but only got diagnosed with it when I was 22yrs after I nearly blacked out crossing my 2 children across the road, they were 3 and 5yrs old.

Good night again <3
