Good Night Tec- All the best for tomorrow :-)

Diane- I think they only allow 7 mins per appointment here. One older doctor in a nearby practice got into trouble ( and not for the first time) for spending too much time with his patients. His wife is a councillor too!

I was a hopeless duvet cover put er on er.... until we lived here... with our bedroom being on a sort of mezzaniine area it has a sort of verandah railing along the edge so one does not fall off. Hang the cover over that and then put the inner inside and it all comes out nice and even.. then haul it up and straight on to the bed.

Over the top of that rail is the only way we can get a mattress from the lower area.

My boss once broke a huge window so that the piano could be lowered to the outside.

I have made a plunger coffee in case Tec's is finished..

Hello :-)

Linda I hope you get rid of your bug soon <3

Tec it is bad that they wait until you get an infection prevention is better than cure :-(

Sue how are you managing with the volunteer work, have you been able to sort much out without the secretary's " none help " her way, why do some people make thing's difficult for other's :-|

Jem it is rediculas the way some Dr's insist on one problem one appointment, some work it that if you want to discuss more than one thing you have to make a double appointment ( each alloted 15mins ) thank god mine don't do that.

Yes it was considerate of ATOS to ring me ( not ) if they know they can't see all the people they make the appointment for then why do they make so many appointment for one day, it's all about stupid target's and they have to be seen to be reaching them, no matter how much stress it causes to those they mess around :-| :-| :-|

Sue, I hope it was fish nibbling your toes and not your OH :-D

Thanks Linda- I did wonder why! :-S

Tecwyn Report 4 Sep 2013 23:01

Not often one sees Kidderminster and Bali mentioned in the same sentence :-D

I think all you photographers are terribly clever - but I do alright with my box Brownie :-D

Jem, I have copied a bit from a newspaper about the fish pedicures. All the shops closed down very quickly

Fish foot spa pedicures could spread diseases such as HIV and hepatitis C, health experts have warned.
The government’s Health Protection Agency said those with diabetes, psoriasis or a weak immune system are particularly vulnerable and should not take part in the beauty craze at all.
In new guidance to be published today, they said the risk of infection for users of the increasingly popular treatment, in which dozens of tiny fish nibble dead skin from customers' feet, is ‘low but could not be completely excluded’.

I had my toes nibbled in Kidderminster and Bali :-D

Huia - my OH joined a camera club also with the idea of improving his photography. He found that a lot of the members only wanted to talk about how good their own photos were and how bad everyone else's were. He didn't stay long.

Huia

Huia Report 4 Sep 2013 22:54

I'm sorry I haven't sympathised with all who have health problems, particularly Tec. By the time I read about them everybody else has said what there is to say and I don't know what to add. My sympathies anyway.

Good Morning Sue :-)
My Granddaughter 1 and her friends tried the fishy thing too! They opened the place here but it got closed down pretty quickly- I don't know why!

Huia

Huia Report 4 Sep 2013 22:52

Jem, I haven't looked at the Hobby board. Maybe I will do so, but I do have plenty of other things to keep me occupied. I just joined the club to see if I could improve my photography. Anyway they meet in a town about half an hour's drive away so I can do without the late night once a month. But I will stick it out for this year (which ends in June).

SueMaid Report 4 Sep 2013 22:51

That's the part I didn't like, Linda - cutting up the tomatoes. The results are worth it though.

Huia - I sometimes "play" with a photo program. I have photos of churches my family were hatched, matched and dispatched in and I have turned them into sepia photos. I also "roughen" the edges with the program. I scrapbook the family history so it does look good in the albums. However I do think for competition purposes the skill of the photographer is what is important.

Chutneys are easy, it is just chopping everything up before hand which is a real pain

Tecwyn Report 4 Sep 2013 22:40

Good Morning Sue - is the sun shining today for you?

Jemima I have heard of the leech therapy. but they would have to catch me first :-D

Sue had her toes nibbled by fish you know :-0

Now that is brave :-D

I'm off to make coffee now.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Sep 2013 22:35

Not everyone Jemima - I'm not in the least domesticated, or accomplished :-D

I just muddle through, and make a right hash of things - particularly putting a duvet cover on :-0

I usually end up inside it :-D

SueMaid Report 4 Sep 2013 22:34

Hello everyone :-)

Oh dear Linda - still not well? I hope you feel better soon.

Tec - I'm sorry your leg is not getting better. In fact it sounds like it's worsening. It would be easier to prevent the infection rather than wait.

Jemima - when I see my doctor he asks if there is anything else I would like to discuss. It's a strange policy for a doctor's surgery but I have to say my mother's surgery is a bit like that. My family are well - thank you for asking. I have waded through some of the volunteer stuff and I have delegated some of it.

Diane - how annoying for you. At least they let you know.

Nice to see Persie and Berona :-)
