Linda's going to the Palace to be made a Dame Jemima :-D

I've had everything thrown at this ulcer over the years. One consultant got very angry as his methods were not working, and suggested I went home and put yoghurt on it - he was being facitious sp :-D

Have just been reading an item on facebook.

How to Clean your house.

1) Open a new file on your PC
2) Name it "housework"
3) Send it to your Recycle Bin
4) Empty the Recycle Bin
5) Your PC will ask you "Are you sure you want to delete Housework permanently?"
6) Calmly answer "yes" and press mouse button firmly.
7) Feel better?

Hello Linda - You seem to have reacted badly to that wasp sting - I hope it clears up before you go away.
You need to wear something regal to attend the Palace. However, a tiara will not be necessary :-D.
I'm sure you'll look good whatever you decide to wear - don't worry about it.

Persie I agree with Josie, duvets are the most stupid things ever invented. Why don't they still make good old fashioned feather eiderdowns - you knew where you were with them, and never got trapped inside them looking for a way out :-(

You should be able to get it there Linda. It's good for all sorts of things.

I will see what I can get in the market square tomorrow, the nearest thing we have to a health food shop is Holland and Barrett

Persie, I hope you have put a tea towel under your feet if you have them on the table

Hi Linda-

I have heard you mention something about going to Buck. Palace before?? :-S

You could try Marshmallow and Slippery Elm Balm from a health shop for the sting Linda. It's good for drawing out stuff! I had a splinter infection once and it dealt with that well. My OH uses it on boils. I just thought- I wonder if it might work on ulcers Tec? If all else fails you could ask?

It's probably the salt from sea water that is the culprit with the phone!

Gosh Jem, in chapter and verse, things seem to go from worse to worse.

Am glad your little one is doing well.. and tell your grandson we have lots of trembling ground over here.

I did a bit of a laugh yesterday afternoon Tec. We have a radio panel of two with the announcer person who discuss the events of the day etc at 4pm -5pm. They were discussing gadgets like I-pads, smart phones etc and Josie said just wish they would invent a gadget that could put the duvet cover on.

She must have known what trouble you get in.

Hello everyone

I have been trawling the internet looking for inspiration for something to wear for the palace, but we still haven't got a date

I don't suppose sea water is good for phones Jem, but my OH has put his phone through a full cycle on the washing machine twice and just opened it up and dried it on the radiator and it is still working

My sting is even larger in area now ,bright red but not too itchy. I showed it to Eve on Skype this morning and told her it was ouchey. She is always poking about at insects in the garden. I think she understood what had happened. She told me I had to be careful which was very sweet

I don't really know what happened to the boat Tec. I know they had been working on it. Apparently, it was taking in a lot of water and they just manage to get it to a sandbank in time for them to get out.

Hi Persie- You're early tonight. As Tec said feet up! :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 6 Sep 2013 21:40

Shame that your SIL has lost his phone Jemima, especially as he probably owes his life to it, but a phone can be replaced. What has happened about the boat?

Hello Persie - Go on, put your feet up on the coffee table, we won't tell anyone.
I lit a small fire this evening for the first time in the new fireplace. The room had gone decidedly chilly. We don't have the heating on yet. The installer advised just a small fire using only sticks the first time in order to temper the metal, but it did soon warm the room up.

Today was a lovely day here, and warm until the sun went down, but heavy rain is forecast tomorrow and much cooler. Autumn is looming.

Persephone Report 6 Sep 2013 21:29

Oh I do hope this is going to clear up all that ails you Tec...

I can't really put my feet up, they would end up on the coffee table and as I don't allow others to do that, I better don't as well. And besides I would need to move the heater, it is not on now but it is when the sun sinks slowly in the West. Been very cold here again after a warm spell.. bit like what Carole's weather. In fact yesterday was decidedly cold unless you sat in the sun and kept out of the irky cold breeze.

Hi Everyone :-) :-)

Hi Tec- Glad you have had your antibiotics. Hope they will start working soon! :-)

Welcome home Carole :-)
I'm the same as you with glasses. I only need reading ones, and mostly for one eye, as I am long sighted in one. But like you I don't know how to choose. My opticians have a computer thingamy that Linda talked about, but I still can't tell! It also makes my wrinkles show up more! I realised it was cos I was seeing them magnified!

Glad that your learner is doing well.

Sylvia-:-)
Sylvia- Hope you are persevering with your very large antibiotics. I also have to get up every couple of hours through the night. It's exhausting isn't it? I have had this problem for many years though. It might actually be a symptom of the spondylosis.

My Grandson asked earlier if anyone else felt the ground tremble (he was lying on the sofa at the time!) We have been known to have mini earthquakes in Wales.

Berona- Our little baby is doing very well now, thankyou very much for asking :-)

Linda- Hope your sting is improving! Where are you going to for your hols?

Hi Amanda, Persie, Diane, and Huia if you are looking in, or is it to early for you. It may be too early for Sue yet too.

My news-
Thanks everyone for your concern for my son-in-law. Last night they went out in an inflatable. After his last scrape they had decided to give it up, but that resolve did not last long! As I explained to my daughter- it's what he knows. It's what he's been doing for more than 20 years, and he would go stir crazy without it probably.

Well last night his truck got stuck deep in the sand. Luckily, they had gone in two vehicles, so the other vehicle towed it out. But then- He dropped his phone- Yes THE PHONE! the phone that saved his life the night before- in the sea. It doesn't work now!
:-0 :-0 :-| :-S :-D

That's very kind of you Linda :-)

I am sitting comfortably though.

I collected the anti-biotics this afternoon. The surgery phoned at 8-45 this morning to say the doctor had issued a prescription.

Carole - So pleased that you have remained with us, you have been part of us for so long and would have been greatly missed by us all. We look forward to your posts. Not that we're nosy, just like to know what you're up to :-D
