It doesn't take much time to cook things, I was just feeling lazy

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2013 21:33

I'm gasping for a coffee - would you like one?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2013 21:29

I would have given everything I own to have seen that :-D

You should have distributed the beetroot and tomatoes around the neighbourhood rather than have to bother with them before you go away. Never mind, it's done now, and you will appreciate them later.

You will be getting up early then

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Sep 2013 21:25

OK you win, but we will end up going round in circles

I would have paid good money to see that as well

We are all ready for the off, we need to leave at 5.30am

OH went to the allotment about 6pm and came back with the last of the beetroot and a very large bag of tomatoes. I could have done without them, but I have bottled the beetroot. I had a large number of red peppers in the fridge, so I made some pasta sauce to freeze . it made enough for five servings, so they will be useful. I would have preferred not to have had to bother of course

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2013 21:18

my bad leg is worse than your bad arm :-D

Are you all packed and ready to go?

My SIL caught his pants on fire today :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D.

He removed a 9v battery from his fathers smoke alarm and put it in his trouser pocket to discard at home. Driving home he thought his bottom had been stung by a wasp in his trousers. Stopping in a hurry he discovered that the coins in his pocket had crossed the terminals of the battery, and his pants caught fire.

My daughter was apparently helpless with laughter at the side of the road as he stood there with his trousers around his knees. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I so wish I had been there :-D

I have never claimed to be a gentleman - it is not my fault that is how I am perceived :-D

You are younger and fitter than me, so only fair that you row the boat :-D

I thought you were a gentleman :-|

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2013 20:59

oh well done, we're getting there, though so far we only have enough to hire a canoe - so you can row :-D

Err, no thank you

I have just won £10 on the lottery to add to the total

You wouldn't want grey hair and a bald patch would you? :-D

Well, anything you have, I want as well :-D

On second thoughts you can keep the ulcer

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2013 15:33

I have decided that today is a nothing day :-D which means that I'm doing nothing. On strike, labour withdrawn, ignoring anything that looks like work.

Quite Autumnal looking, grey skies, showers, windy, and occasional glimpses of the sun, and rather cool.

Welcome to the thread Dianne - Your lifestyle sounds exciting, and great to hear that you're enjoying it. Hope to hear of your adventures.
I'm Tec and live in N.Wales. As Berona says I'm the only man on the thread, as to being a gentleman, that is questionable :-D, but I'm tolerated.

Linda it's good that you managed to see a doctor, even if he was a schoolboy :-D. Hope the antibiotics work - I think you are only jealous because I have them too.

I see that the Aussies have a new administration in Government today. Hope they do better than the clowns Mork and Mindy currently running the UK :-(.

I could get used to this laying about doing nothing :-D

Although the voting only closed here in the eastern states, three hours ago, it has already been announced that we have a new Prime Minister - Tony Abbott - Liberal Party.

Oops - forgive me Jemima in England.
And I thought I was doing well, too - all from memory.
Jem is a recent addition to our little group. Haven't heard from Pam for a long time - she's right up at the top end of the country.

Now, I've lost my confidence. I have a feeling that there should be another couple of names to add - so I'll apologise to the owners of those names in advance!

Koalas would never get through Aussie customs control so I don't know why they put them in the flash seats on Qantas adverts.

Glad your sting is sorted Linda... I got nothing just a drawing on my leg.. but it did stay within the lines after that... it was awfully sore to begin with, could not get my jeans off quick enough and then to have my OH take a big bite out of my melting moment I was having with my takeaway coffee was insult to injury.

We also have a Jemima, wandering around this thread.. Dianne...

I am on here intermittently.

Hello Dianne (with 2 n's). We also have a Diane with 1 n).
Welcome to the thread. I'm in western Sydney. You sound like you are travelling? Where do you hail from? We have Sue in the NSW Illawarra district, Persie and Huia in NZ, Sylvia in Canada and Amanda, Diane and Linda in England and of course, our only man - and he's a gentleman, too - Tec. He lives in Wales.

Lovely spring day here to-day - 30c. A bit too hot for this time of the year, so it is a bit worrying, what we are in for when summer gets here.

Koalas cross? never. They eat fourteen different types of eucalyptus leaves and they are considered to be 'stoned' all the time.

Carolee Report 7 Sep 2013 11:17

A Koala sleeps on average 18 hours a day. I read that in the "Which" Bank (Comm)

No, I haven't been drinking :-D

Edit: Wrong bank, it was the NAB, on an add

Hello Diane, I am in Yorkshire, up top. Take no notice of the others, they all have sun stroke

The red patch around my sting is even bigger this morning,so I decided to call in at the doctors surgery to ask for advice. They are only open for a couple of hours on Saturday. The receptionist sent me round to the dispensary to see the pharmacist, she looked at it and said she would have a word with the doctor. Just then, a very young boy .wandered down the corridor, he turned out to be the doctor. He looked at it and said I needed antibiotics,so wrote a prescription. Now that is the way to do it, normally you have to wait days for an appointment
