Time I was off to bed I think.

Good night Tec and Amanda, enjoy your day Sue and anyone else who look's in later <3 <3

Amanda2003 Report 8 Sep 2013 23:43

Tec , it sounds as if you and the Duchess have a " good eye " :-D

Diane , I have found some help " on line " with the dreaded form and at least my Dr has written a letter supporting my medical condition . I think , to be honest , that the system is in melt down :-(

I am going to be saying " good night " and " good day " now .

I shall try and get on here more often now that the night are beginning to draw in . <3

Diane Report 8 Sep 2013 23:42

:-( sorry Tec but you have to admit it was a insy winsy bit funny, I wasn't laughing at the outcome only the thought of Taffy mistaking your rear end for his toy.

Diane Report 8 Sep 2013 23:33

Amanda I got someone from the CAB to help me fill in my form and they did a very good job with it, they were able to put thing's down better than I could.
Yes that is my worry about changing the appointment as you hear so many people saying they have been sanctioned for the slightest thing but when the girl rang me she did say if it wasn't a convienent date then I could ring to change it " not that make's a difference to them sometime's if they want to play dirty "

Tecwyn Report 8 Sep 2013 23:33

Sue that was a stroke of luck finding that. Bargains are out there if you have an eye for them.
I think I told you that I bought two water colour paintings at auction, by a Japanese pre war artist. I really bought them because the Duchess liked them. I paid £60 which I thought was too much, but hey-ho.
Later on a valuer came from a big auction house that specialised in Fine Art. I took the paintings out of curiosity, and he valued them at between £600 - £700 the pair.

Pays to keep your eyes open, especially in markets, and boot sales.

Diane - I am surprised at you laughing at my misfortune regarding Taffy. I would expect it from Sue and Linda, but not you :-D

Hello Tec :-D NO I haven't been trapped in the hen house...lol
I don't think I'd actually be able to get into it .
Your sister sounds very clever . I can understand how folk get into creating perfect little " dolls" worlds . Ones imagination can see a use in almost anything small when it comes to such subjects . I'm trying to create a doll house that is child friendly at the moment but would love to take the step into making a " don't touch " one , sort of :-S

Sue , well done to you on your find . My Mum used to collect tea pots and she had a " cottage " one . I wish I'd kept it but she " collected " all sorts of things and I had to limit myself when it came to the awful " what to keep " part :-( It is seven years tomorrow since she left us :-( <3

That's nice Sue to get a sugar bowl to match the jug and even better to find out it was such a bargain :-D

Amanda2003 Report 8 Sep 2013 23:23

Goodness me , I pressed " submit " and then my daughter started chatting .... lol but here I am again :-)

Hello Sue , Tec and Diane .

Tec , sorry to hear that Taffy bit your bottom :-0 I can't imagine he did it on purpose :-S

Sue , it is always good to see you too :-D

Diane , I'm pleased to know you are feeling better after your blackout the other day . I can't imagine how cross you must be about ATOS messing you around :-| :-| :-P :-P :-|
I hope they don't get on their high horse because YOU need to cancel .
I haven't filled in my form yet and it's due back on the 19th . My Dr did some blood tests which came back negative for the inflamatory arthritis but she thinks I have the onset of the ostioarthritis(sp?) ..........having to deal with atos is SO depressing :-(

Amanda - you are clever. Sounds like you are having fun :-)

Years ago I bought a little 'cottage' jug for pennies. I always loved it and never thought about the value. Yesterday (Sunday) we went to the markets to see how our SIL was getting on selling books. My daughter and I had a look around and I found the sugar bowl to match my jug for only $5. I had a good look at it and it's in perfect condition so I snapped it up. The mark underneath is clearer than on my jug and it's Keeley St. Pottery. I looked on Ebay and the pair are selling for around $50. Think I got a bargain :-)

Hello Amanda,

I have been wondering where you were :-) Came to the conclusion that you'd been shut in the hen house for being naughty :-D.
The dolls house sounds good - you have been having fun. My sister is into dolls houses. It is her hobby, I've not seen them, but apparently they are amazing.

She also gets old fashioned clock cases - mantel clocks. Takes the works out and makes room settings inside the case behind the glass door, and illuminates them.

Diane Report 8 Sep 2013 23:11

Amanda you sound as though you having been having fun doing up the doll's house :-D
I'm fine thank you, been out once since my arguement with the ground'

Sue I must admit I too giggled at Tec's expense ( sorry Tec ) :-D

Tec I hope you sil father improve's.
Your right about that stupid French company, but like Ian Duncan Smith they say they are not to blame when someone is found fit for work, they say they only do the medicals and it is the DWP that make the final decision, it is their incompidence sp of medical experience that is to blame, how can nurses make medical decisions on people's health in place of consultant's and their Dr's and dismiss the report's of the expert's as they so often do :-|

Hello Diane,
Good Morning Sue,

It is sad about SILs father. He is 82 and has been a widower for many years, and lived alone. Sil found him collapsed last Sunday and called an ambulance. Apparently he had pneumonia, but has deteriorated. He has two other sons.

Sue you shouldn't laugh at the expense of my bottom - it's not nice :-D

Diane - The home made soup sounds good. I often make my own soup, and never buy tinned now.
Good for you giving ATOS some of their own treatment. They mess people about terribly. They are a French company apparently. Surely when assessing peoples benefits we have enough of our own people to do that.
Like the Mad Hatters Tea Party, as is everything this Government touches.

Hello people :-D
I think I've been absent for well over a week :-S I've tried to look in but sometimes I have great difficulty getting into the thread and just give up :-(

I hope that you are all getting on okay .

Linda , I did see that you had been stung by a wasp ? I hope the string is getting better .
Tec , I hope your leg is on the mend now .

Berona , Huia , Persie and Sue , I hope you are getting some spring weather by now .

Diane , I hope you are getting on okay .

I've been busy doing up the dolls house ( again ) . I bought it back here just before my daughter moved ( it had been hers when she was little , then became Daisys doll house ) , it must be the third time I've had it back to " do up " , this time it's going to stay at " Nanny's house " !
I think Daisy has out grown it in some ways but also feel she will want it back when she sees it .... lol
I've made a lovely settee out of a car wash sponge and a couple of beds ( with William Morris covers ) . A fish tank out of an old jewellery ( ring ) box and a tv from a photo key ring sunk into a wooden cotton reel .............. in short , I've been enjoying myself no end :-D

Hello - I think I have just missed Linda. Glad to see you have arrived safely.

Tec - I'm sorry to hear about your SIL's father. It is a difficult time for the family.

We do tend to find strange happenings hilarious. I still have a giggle imagining Taffy biting you on the bum :-D

Diane

Diane Report 8 Sep 2013 22:31

Hello everyone :-)

Linda glad to see you arrived safely and hope the wasp sting is improving with the anti-biotics :-)

Tec sorry to hear about S.I.L father , hope the anti-biotics will soon help with the ulcer and it will soon improve.

Welcome Dianne, I am the other Diane with one N, I am from Liverpool UK :-)

Sue hope all is well with you and your family :-)

Berona it is a load off my mind mainly because it means I no longer have to have anything to do with my brother's who caused me so much upset and stress over the past 18mths and I can now organise thing's with my dad's ashes and lay him to rest.

Jem, so glad thing's turned out alright with your S.I.L, I'm not a big fan of mobile phone's but have to admit they come in useful at time's like your S.I.L situation and have saved many live's in situation's like that.

Hi-di-hi Persie, hope you are well, loved your little item about... How to clean your house :-D

Welcome back Carole, glad you decided to stay <3

Hi Amanda if you look in, hope all is well with you, saw your photo's on FB look's like the family had a lovely day together. <3

Well I have received a replacement appointment from ATOS and it will be me who will be cancelling the appointment this time, my friend who will take me is unable to as they are away on holiday for a week on the date for new appointment so I will ring them tomorrow to let them know I can't make it ( see how they like being messed around for a change )
I made some home made soup yesterday with some of the veg my sister and OH brought me from their garden, I diced up turnip, swede, carrot's, parsnip, celery, cabbage, potatoes, put in chicken stock boiled it all in a pan then used the blender then added some noodle's, I had some last night ( yum yum ) and have frozen the rest into individual potion's.

Hello Linda - Glad to see that you obviously arrived safely, and hotel good. Just as well you have a phone that whistles and dances - take care.

Hello Sylvia - Sadly I don't think SIL will have time for a repeat performance. He was called to the hospital at 6am where his elderly father is gravely ill. :-0.

Isn't it strange how we find bizarre situations screamingly funny.
Like I got no sympathy when Taffy accidently bit my bottom last week.
Was it an accident???.........I wonder :-D
