Thank you Jemima - a sad time for them.

Hello Sue,
Grand daughter doesn't go back to Uni until 20th September, so is still at home.
No knowing when the funeral will be.

So sorry to hear of your SIL's father passing. It is a difficult time for them. Will your granddaughter come up from Uni?

Good Morning Sue,

I'm late.............

I've been busy on the phone. Sil father sadly passed away today. Having not experienced the situation before SIL and daughter didn't know what to do, or what to do first. So I have been talking them through the procedure.
It can seem very daunting if you've never had to do this.

Sleep well Berona.

It is 5PM here, we are an hour ahead of the UK, it has been very overcast all day, but warm enough, so we have been sitting on founders on the beach reading. It is annoying because if was really sunny when we got here yesterday. Still it is relaxing and we have dinner to look forward to in a couple of hours

Just closing down and saw the posts.
No, Diane, I don't eat a lot of Vitamin C stuff. No citrus drinks at all and not a lot of tomatoes, although I can't eat a salad without tomatoes in it! I didn't know about that, so I'll keep watch, but I don't think I eat much of those things. I, too, have a lot of trouble with my left hip and I thought it was because I had diverticulitis about 20 years ago, but was able to control it with diet. Now that I'm having problems with it, I wonder if it's the osteo. When I get to my new doctor, I'll ask about it.
..
I'm taking my book to bed now. It's only 9.30, but by the time I potter about, it's usually closer to 10 by the time I get there. Then I read for anything up to an hour and sometimes more (if the eyes allow it). .. Hope you have a nice day. Goodnight from me for now.

Good evening Berona :-)
do you eat many tomatoes or drink citric fruit's, you probaly already know this but all of these are bad for Osteo arthritis, I love tomatoes and if I eat to many my finger's and my hips that are affected by Osteo arthritis give me a lot of trouble.

Hello all. Linda - good to know you are enjoying your holiday. Hope you don't get the rain if it might spoil things for you.

Amanda - join the club (osteo). If it wasn't for my knees, I would be a totally different person even if I can no longer knit or sew. I keep my fingers nimble by typing on the computer a lot - more than I need to, in the hope that they won't stiffen up - but my wrists, elbows, shoulders and ankles are all affected - although not as badly as the knees. I take Glucosomine and Crampeze, but I don't know if they do any good. I'm just not game to stop taking them, in case it causes more problems.

Hello Linda, gosh that sting is a whopper, I myself have never to my knowledge had a wasp or bee sting ( tempting fate arn't I ) but when my youngest had one someone told me to put vinigar on it and it seemed to work but then again he wasn't someone who reacted badly to them, hope it doesn't get any bigger and that it soon stop's itching other than that I hope you are enjoying your holiday and relaxing and try not to come back with a bug :-D

Hello I hahe managed to get the WiFi working this morning, I suspect that it is just overburdened on an evening.

My sting is looking better, but is still very itchy. I measured it out of interest and it was 8cms long and about 6 wide which is pretty large, all I was doing was picking apples from the tree but it seems the wasp objected.

The food in the hotel is excellent, but there are lots of wasps around,so I think we will eat inside apart from lunchtimdwhen we had to be outside

It is a bit cloudy today, apparently thunderstorms are on the way, it is still warm though. Time to saunter outside now.

Goodnight Diane and Amanda - sweet dreams <3

What a bargain you got with the watercolours. I'm really quite pleased with my cottage ware and would love the teapot to match so I'll keep looking. The stall I looked at had some very nice pieces of china. I stopped myself from buying yet another teapot and a very nice cup, saucer and plate set. I feel sorry for my family having to sort out that lot :-( I think they'll just put the lot in a big skip.

It's ok Diane :-D

I would have been the first to laugh if it happened to someone else - it was such a daft thing to happen, and Taffy hasn't got a spiteful bone in his body.
