It's now 10:38am here. That means that it's heading up to midnight where you are. I have just had to get up and take a walk because my posterior was feeling stiff, so I had better go and see what I can do on the treadmill, and let you people go to bed.
Keep warm and sleep well.

Tecwyn Report 1 Dec 2010 14:15

Lovely sunny day here, but soooooooo cold - minus 6 C. Glad I don't have to go out - gone soft in my old age I think.

Going up my tree, and staying there - I'll imagine it's somewhere tropical.

Tec........2-15pm Wednesday Afternoon.

9pm Wednesday .

It's been ridiculously cold here today / tonight . We had to be out and about this morning and it was bitter with a strong Easterly wind coming straight off the sea .
I have the fire up full blast and am wrapped in a blanket , I'm just starting to feel not cold .....lol

I hope your feeling better today Sue .

Linda , if you went on your travels , I hope you and OH have got to your destination ok .

Tecwyn Report 1 Dec 2010 21:37

Good Evening Amanda,

You're very wise to be under that blanket to keep warm. We have a fire and the heating on here, but I have to keep going into the garden with the dog.
He wanders about like it's a summers day sniffing everything while I'm freezing my knickers off.

Tec.....................9-37pm

Amanda2003 Report 1 Dec 2010 22:17

Hello Tec ....... my dogs have been driving me round the bend , as soon as one comes in another wants to go out ! I should count myself lucky really , at least I don't have to escort them round the garden ...poor you : (

Hello Amanda and Tec - is that all we have? Where is everybody?

Sue - if you're looking in - hope you are improving. If not - off you go to the doctor, girl! We miss you and worry about you when you are not well.

It may be a bit late in the dog's life to think about it now, but have you (Amanda and Tec) thought of having a doggy-door put into your main door? I leave my main back door open all the time when I am home, but I have a fly-screen door which has a cat-flap in it. I thought it was expensive when I bought it, but it paid for itself over and over by me not having to get up and let the cat out and in each time she wants to go.
She knows she has to use her tray in the garage when the main door is closed.

Amanda2003 Report 1 Dec 2010 22:40

Good morning Berona .
Yes , it seems like most of us are not around this evening / morning .

I have a cat flap in my the back door ( for the cats ) I think if I had one that was big enough for the dogs to get through they would be in and out like yo-yos all day ....lol ...... there is the risk with a flap large enough for a dog to get though that a burglar might have a go . Having said that , I don't think any one would be stupid enough to try that with three dogs in the house .

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Dec 2010 22:44

Good Morning Berona,

Great idea about the cat/dog flap - but my old dog won't try anything new. Not only that, but he is a big dog, and would need a huge dog flap. Since his back legs are giving up he can no longer jump into the back of the car. We did consider getting one of those ramps they advertise for elderly dogs, but I just know he wouldn't use it. He's always been a bit of a Sally, but is worse now he's gone old. (I suppose they say that about me lol)

Amanda have you got much snow over there?

I too hope Sue is better, but she is still missing,
Linda must have made it over the Pennines,
Where is Diane?

Tec...............10-45pm

Tecwyn Report 1 Dec 2010 22:47

We have a neighbour with a cat flap and a baby who is at the crawling stage - she is forever finding him with his head through the cat flap and having to haul him back in by his bottom lol.

Tec.....................10-48pm.

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 1 Dec 2010 22:49

Tec ..... the snow has more or less gone , we took a drive to a little village called Wrentham today ( to shop in the Factory warehouse shop ) , there was a bit of snow still laying on the fields we drove past , it is however extremely cold .

Hopefully Diane is having a bit of a rest , maybe she will pop in later ?

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 1 Dec 2010 22:52

Tec ..... lol.....when my son was at the crawling stage he used to do that , his head got a bit stuck one day and as I pulled him back it scraped his fat cheeks a little bit , he stopped doing it after that .
Babies usually like to put things through the cat flap , dummy , drinking beaker , keys ..... just about anything really ......lol

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Dec 2010 22:58

We don't have a lots of snow on the road, but what is there is frozen solid, so very dangerous. Everywhere around is white, and there's lots of snow on the hills. The wind off the mountain is making it feel bone cracking cold.

I have this mental vision of Berona reclining in her back yard, in her floppy sun hat, bikini, sunglasses, sipping her Pimms, and thinking of us lol.

Tec................11pm.

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 1 Dec 2010 23:03

Yes , it's the ice that you have to keep an eye out for , some of the pavements are covered in it : ((

Do you think that Berona is knitting survival suits for us , whilst reclining with her pimms and all ?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Dec 2010 23:07

I hope Berona's knitting survival suits for us - she knitted me a fabulous nightcap last winter, and is supposed to be knitting bed socks to match, long ones that come up to my knees, so what with the ankle length nightshirt I should be warm enough.

Tec............11-07pm

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 1 Dec 2010 23:10

I hope you don't go out into the garden with your dog wearing your nightshirt Tec.......you might end up doing a " Marilyn Monroe " pose , if the cold mountain air rushes down to fast .......lol

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 1 Dec 2010 23:18

Well it's getting late ( 11.15m ) and I think I'll be wending my way to bed .

Keep warm and sleep well to the Brits , have a good day to you others : ))

~~~~~~ to anyone who comes in later .
Tecwyn
Tecwyn Report 1 Dec 2010 23:23
Well if that should happen Amanda, there won't be anyone else mad enough to be out to see, but the effect on my nether regions would be quite disastrous lol.
Well I'm getting the "look" so had best make tracks to bed.
Enjoy your day Berona,
Hope you feel better Sue if you look in later.
Sleep well Amanda, and you Diane,
Goodnight,
Tec.
Berona Report 2 Dec 2010 00:56
Sorry I disappeared. I had a visitor and she has just gone. You will all be sound asleep by now.
I suppose that the door flaps and crawling babies don't really go together. You would need to nail the flap closed until the baby was older.
And yes, a flap big enough for some dogs, might just be big enough for a small burglar - although, they would be risking their heads being bitten off, wouldn't they?
Hope you all have an undisturbed, warm and peaceful sleep.
Berona Report 2 Dec 2010 20:45
Where are you all? Everyone said they were staying home because of the cold weather - so there must be something good on TV.
A fine day coming up here. Blue sky and sunshine at the moment, but more rain and thunderstorms forecast - right up until Christmas.
