Bye Berona enjoy your day hun.

Yes Tec I have and I think my son is happy as today he had to move one of the display unit's into 2 different places and then in the end I put it next to the other one lol. I will have to wait until the end of January or even February to put them were I want them, the reason for that is as I only have a carpet piece on my living room floor and not a fitted one, the unit's won't sit even on the floor which mean's the glass door's are catching on the unit as they are not lying right ( if you know what I mean ) hard to explain lol.

I am off too, may return a bit later but if I don't I'll say good night Sandie as you will probably look in later.

Enjoy your day any downunder's who look in later.

~~~~~~~~~~~ to Amanda, Janet. Carole, Pamela, Patricia, Colin, Tony and Allan if you look in and if I have missed anyone it is unintentional.
Oh my! have you even been to bed yet, Diane?:-))) You must be taking full advantage of your holidays, good for you:-)) You deserve a break!!
Sorry Sue:-)) Its still horrible here, the weather, not much rain but cold and overcast, not very nice at all considering its supposed to be almost summer - what a joke!!!
I don't do knitting but I can sew, which has come in quite handy at times, being able to hem and repair clothing, saves having to pay someone to do it for me:-)
~~~~~~~ to everyone, I hope those with snow take care and stay warm:-))

Goodness me, Diane. I don't know what we can do with you. I hope you can have a kip in the daytime to make up for what you don't have at night.

What's next on the agenda as far as your back is concerned? I have osteo-arthritis and it affects my joints, particularly the knees, but I have been offered nothing for it - just the suggestion that I take Glucosomine, which I purchase from the supermarket. It was the doctor who recommended the walking stick because my left knee can 'click' and throw me - without any warning - and I need to grab something to save from falling. If nothing is close enough to grab - hence the stick to help. Haven't fallen yet - but not taking any risks.

Just looking in, but no one is around.
I get a day off today because the manager of the tourist office is well and truly snowed into her little village.
I held the camera out of the window Berona and photographed the garden for you,it is on Facebook

I hope your OH returned safely Linda, and not resembling Nanook of the North. I hear that Polar Bears and Caribou have been spotted in the North East..

Tec............9-18pm.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Nov 2010 21:34

lol, he was fine Tec.There are lots of ordinary deer around here, Maybe you need your glasses changing if you think they look like Caribou

Berona Report 29 Nov 2010 21:43

Thanks Linda - I'll enjoy looking at that when I have finished on this thread. Each time I try to 'slip over' to another site while I'm on here, my attention is taken by something and everyone has gone by the time I get back!

As I said - I'll enjoy looking at the photo. Lovely to look at especially when I am wearing short sleeves, even though it is showering.

Just left for a while to watch TV. One of the morning programs is broadcasting from a park near grand-daughter's school - just at a time when the girls were walking into school (8:30). Luckily, a light shower is falling there too, so I was able to pick her out by the umbrella! I hit the record button but I don't think she would be able to hang around at that time. I didn't have time to put a disc in the machine, so she'll have to come here if she wants to see it. It's on the hard drive.

Tecwyn Report 29 Nov 2010 21:44

Glad you didn't have to go out with a team of huskies looking for OH.
Think we might get more snow tomorrow, and a strong wind is forecast so the windchill factor will make it even colder.
We have a fire roaring up the chimney, so nice and warm in this room, the rest of the house feels cold although the heating has been on since 7 am today.

Tec.......9-45pm

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Nov 2010 21:49

Good morning warm but damp Berona.

I have had the heating on all day as well Tec, it is far too cold without it. OH was just complaining that it was too warm in here,so I told him to take his fleece jumper off

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Nov 2010 21:51

Good Morning Berona,
Hope you are bright eyed and bushy tailed today, skipping about like a five year old, doing hand stands about the house, and frightening the cat lol.

Tec.....9-50pm.

So your Winter and our Summer officially start tomorrow (1st Dec). I wonder if it means the season will last longer?; finish early?; or become more intense? You've already had snow and we've already had temperatures of 30+.

Looking back at the weather as it has been for about the past ten years, I feel sure that in only a few generations, Aussies will be snowed in for Christmas, whilst Poms will be sunning themselves on the beach!

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Nov 2010 21:53

Sunning on the beach sounds fine to me Berona

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Nov 2010 22:03

I've been lying on the beach all day - it wasn't very warm, but you can't have everything.

You may well be right Berona. The seasons here have definitely changed.
We can grow certain shrubs and plants in our gardens now that would never have survived 50 years ago. Also some birds and insects usually only found in Mediteranean countries are now resident here in the UK.

Having said that - it is hard to believe in Global Warming just at the moment lol.

Tec.....10-05pm.

Berona

Berona Report 29 Nov 2010 22:12

I've had a look at your pictures, Linda. Lovely. Much prettier than what I'm looking out at........grey sky and drizzle so light that I have to look at the wet ground to see the drops falling. Can't see it in the sky. However - like you say, we can't have everything. There are always pros and cons for everything. I can cope with the heat, even though I don't always like it - but once I get cold, I can't seem to be able to get warm again, so I think I'll stay where I am used to weather. I suppose we all feel that way.
