I tried to go out to page 1 of the Chat index and could only get a blank page - so I couldn't get back in to the thread.
Kept trying for quite a while and only became further confused so I went out to give it a rest.
Just came in (again, via the Oz site) and we are back to normal again. I'm not going to try any other pages. Just apologising for disappearing and not saying goodnight to everyone.
Colin - hope you and Denise enjoy the music. I'm sure you will.

Hi folks~~~
Long time no see:)))
Everyone up here has gone to bed ,looks like.Sleep tight folks:)

Haven't read todays thread in full, but seems as if some are having difficultly with this new set up.
I'm on the lappy and on the au site which is currently old format.
My PC was OK on za and uk for a while but has now changed.....We'll get used to it.lol
What I don't like on the new format that the reply box is at the bottom of the page, and you have to scroll to the top to check what the last person has said...Bad memory me !!..lol

Hope evryeone is well down under..?..)

I hate this bleeding lappy.I'm a crap typist and it has no spell check on GR so I have to keep checking back ( prob missed loads of errors)
Sorrry about your sister's friend Col.
Hope you and Denise enjoy the concert at the Opera House, what a lovely present for her:) You old romantic you !☺

Enjoy your day shopping Sue☺☺ Will pm you hopefully tomorrow.
We have the plumber in ,totally re arraning the bathroom, sometimes I stay holed up in the bedroom, other days I stay out all day, difficult without a loo.lol

I have finally got in with all the argie bargie, this thread proved elusive for me thought it was my fault but I could get into all the other's recent postings by traveling the correct route.

So having said that I will now toddle off again.

As Professor Higgins said

I think she's got it by George she's got it.

And yes Colin all the deleted posts have vanished. At least before if you reread you knew that someone had vacated a space now the reading does look very messy at times.

I would like them to put the time back though instead of this one minute etc. That won't help Tec or Berona or anyone else when we work out our times next daylight saving round.
I am with you Tec they should tell of us of their plans - as a boardmember I think I should have had a vote.
Plus I haven't got a gold star!!!

Our longest place name:

Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu is the Maori name for a hill, 305 metres (1,001 ft) high, close to Porangahau, south of Waipukurau in southern Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. They take Welsh tourists there.

Not a place to stop for a pee unlike the one in SA. When I was there I had to text my friend to tell her where I was - could not use predicted text, and had to miss lunch and afternoon tea in the time it took me.

Berona

Berona Report 19 Nov 2010 09:08

I gave it a rest and entered via the Oz site as usual and I'm having no problems as yet.
Overcast here with rain forecast. I have a pile of woollens waiting to be washed and put away for the summer - but each day, it either rains, or the forecast says it will (and it usually doesn't), but I found myself wearing one of them by lunch time to-day. Still no rain, but dull and dismal.

Didn't notice anything about deleted posts. There's one on this page.
Hi to Carole, and Perse - and of course, '24'.
Perse - I'm following the news about the men trapped in the mine in the south island. Hope they get them all out.

I'm about to go over to General Topics. Hope I can get back.

Berona

Berona Report 19 Nov 2010 09:23

Well, I'm back. Getting to Gen Topics was OK, but I also slipped over to Friends Reunited. It retured me to GR Home page as usual, but now the page number has changed from 197? to 1381 and the Edit/Delete is back up with the RR. The time has changed too. The Deleted post which I said was on this page has vanished too.
Ahh! that explains why we have been reduced to 1381 pages! Removing all the Deleted posts would shrink the pages - particularly those we had until recently when one contributor gave us quite a lot of lengthy posts, but seems to have moved on. Once our subscription is cancelled/lapsed, our posts are deleted from all threads.

Sandie - was it you asked about Allan? Last I saw from him was that his computer had died and it could be a while before he gets another.

Carole - you didn't really Google, did you?

Tony - by S A, do you mean South Australia or South Africa? I don't think our records go back quite that far.

Carolee

Carolee Report 19 Nov 2010 09:35

Hi Berona,

Yes, I did Google:-)) It would be South Australia, I just copied and pasted what Tony posted.

I quite like the new design of the site, its not all that different. I would like a gold star, wonder if I ask, would they give me one:-)

Sorry your weather isn't too nice, I wont brag about ours, cos I know how it feels to have yukky weather!

Carole xx

Berona

Berona Report 19 Nov 2010 09:47

So Carole - what did you get when you googled?

Persephone

Persephone Report 19 Nov 2010 10:18

Sylvia in Canada said the gold star reminded her of the one placed on the Jewish people by the Germans in WW 2.

I am watching the progress with the miners - the rescuers are all on standby waiting for the mine to be deemed safe before they go in. Air quality testing is being carried out because of the unknown atmospheric conditions underground there is the risk of a lot of methane gas - you can see all the smoke and charring from where it exploded.

I will hopefully catch you all tomorrow. I don't like reading the thread upside down and back to front hope you can undercastumble what I mean.

I am still a standard member Tec.... maybe you are free to roam around wherever you like.

Persey xx

Good evening/ morning all

Hi Colin, Hope you and your's are well and that your not working to hard, you did nearly as many hour's that I do every week ( great if you don't mind that many ) but not if you only want the part time hrs. Hope you and Denise enjoy your visit to the opera house hun.

Sandie how does it feel being %24x2 lol, hope you are feeling ok today hun after your late night.

Hi Carole, how are thing's with your new job hun, have you settled in and are you enjoying it ( hope so ) .

Perse see I'm not the only one who stay's up late, mind you Sandie doesn't have to go to work every day so she can usually have a lie in. The real reason we stay so late is so we can have a natter to you lovely downunder's :)).

Berona thank you for your update about Allan, he did say he was having problem's with his putta last time he was on here, he will just have to go and spend some of his saving's on a new one as we miss his wit and humour lol.

I will be watching Children in need tonight so will be in and out of here, so if I keep disappearing you know why.

Good Evening Diane,

Hope you 've had a good day. Been nice here, sunny, no wind, and quite mild at 8 C.
The new GR system has reached Wales, we'll be having the railway and electricity soon lol. I don't find it difficult to negotiate, just a few things different, and I'm back to being a Standard member.
