Have fun, Rose

I envy you seeing Les Miserables - have wanted to see the show for so long, Lucky you

But - have to disagree with you on " how good it is to be in a country that allows hundreds of people to congregate in the centre of its capital and clamour for change in the way the government acts " - not sure how "my" govt acted the last time a congregation of people gathered?

But, how "my" govt acted in the face of Joanna Lumley was beatiful to watch. Hook, line and sinker!

Great scenery and staging, lovely theatre too :)) ( I have a thing about theatre lol...I could happily spend my life there...in any aspect of it) .

Weather has been really kind to us..been round the Tower today , which I'd not been to before (more steps lol)

Hi ~~~~~

Well have at long last seen Les Mis :)) really excellent cast (apart from 'Fantine' IMO ) , then went yesterday to book for 'Joseph' again for last night, making the most of it before it closes in a few weeks. asked about 'Oliver' while I was at Leicester Sq ticket booth..." booked till Sept" BUT...walking back from hairdressers (Sebastien... wonderful hands lol), went past 'Oliver' just as the matinee audience were going in... and got two tickets for less than half price :)) in the right place at the right time :))))
Good seats in the grand circle, perfect view and great sound...really enjoyed it !

Five or ten minutes on the pc at the YHA Thameside to say hello and hope you are all being nice to each other back at 't mill! (if not I hope someone will fill me in when I am home ;) )

Things I love about London ... the people, the diversity, the protests/ rallies....how good it is to be in a country that allows hundreds of people to congregate in the centre of its capital and clamour for change in the way the government acts :))

Theatres :)) went to see 'Joseph' again last night , absolutely terrific, such an uplift. Tonight we are going to 'Les Mis' .... and the irony is not lost on me that this morning at 6.45 we were wakened by the sound of hundreds (?) of French voices shouting! (party of French school kids seemed to be re-enacting the storming of the Bastille in the corridor outside our room...Zut Alors! LOL

We are down in Rotherhithe, and one of the best things about that is that we are a minute from the river :)) First evening we walked quite a long way along the Thames path. Gorgeous evening, the evening sun sparkling on the water...lovely riverside apartments ( spare million £ anyone? please? lol) I love the river :) (did I hear someone say "jump" ? ;) lol) .

Anyway have a good time all ...'see' you soon :))
