I used Ponds as a girl because it was cheap, then went to 365 cream from Boots, being cheaper than Nivea. Then couldnt afford either so just used baby lotion, which I found just as good! No lines on face at 74, figure gone to pot!

It is Posie - right so that cant be it either. Prob your skin settling to your new cream maybe?

I havent changed moisturisier for about ten years and am too scared too as mine keeps the wrinkles at bay pretty well, but I imagine by changing your moisturiser to a richer one, your skin will probably need to adjust so the spots may not stay for long.

i think we may use the same face wash lol

Posie it may not be the cream giving you spots, alhough your skin is now more moist. What do you wash your face with? I use a foam made with tea tree and witch hazel which is very affordable and although I moisturise in the morning at night I use a tea tree based night cream - I get maybe one or two spots a year - normally if I am about to come down with something.

I always use Pond's Cold Cream.
Just not on my face! :)

I will now add : nor any other part of my body! I use it as a lubricant on my trombone slide! hehehehe

Smoking and the sun is bad for wrinkles.
My brother came over from Australia for abt six weeks. He looked younger when he went back. Lost his leathery look.

It was probably the same stuff in different jars.

Oh,and the vanishing cream didn't work!

Does anybody remember the gel that Ponds brought out to put on spots? It was very cold and stung.

I just looked, there are lots to choose from.
I remeber a pink topped and a green/blue.

Maddiecow Report 4 Mar 2009 19:23

Wasnt there a thread ooh a long time ago on face creams? I think something from Lydls or aldi was limited in stock cos it won loads of awards and only cost a couple of quid? My nan used Ponds and had lovely skin - I wont stray from my Clinique though - too scared to change brands in case I grow old overnight lol.
