Yer well Kay his mother had it to too and we think her father too from wats been passed on but he was certainly very strange ~ they are lovely peeps but its only now others are realising just how normal they really are and how they can go on to live a normal life ~ my Marks plans to be a teaching assistant in humanities for SEN kids he knows wher they are at! Unlike my grandmothers nephew at the turn of 1900's wen he was removed to an instituation for "testing" people;s opinons have changed and people are now realising they can be an asset to society.

thers laffin and laffin and Ive seen both sides my Mark prefers this kind of laffing he has such a sense of humour and is a clever thing he uses the "taking everything literal" to wind us up now he loves his grandad cos he knows wher he's at they get each other even wen we dont!

Just read through this great thread. As Muffy said...priceless. In the nicest possible way.

my Dad is obsessed with mobile phones he has 9 in a row on his coffee table and one which he keeps in a box next to his clock known as his "sunday phone" ~ cos its only taken out on Sunday's. Anyway he has 8 kids and a step-wife and one phone is allocated per person they are all identical but each phone contains only one phone number and is colourcoded with a chart to say which phone is which and to make extra sure he has given the corresponding number only to the corresponding person and then just in case he has taken our photos so our faces flash when we call and he also allocated us time slots to call and told us emergencies are to be kept to a minimum so we try to avoid those as one day 3 phones all rang at the same time and he could not decided which was most important so went to feed the cat ~ but I digress ~ the phone allocated to me as packed up so a new one as been secured and my number added and I'v had to go over it 3 times so he knows I deleted the number and added the new one. Incidently the phones to me seem to be arranged randomly they were in age order which I liked but my lil G used to mix em up and not remember how they went bk ~ he explained the age thing wasn't workin so now they are in order of size ~ Im the third biggest so Im third in the order {Im in same place cos third eldest also lol} he explained it 3 times. This system works for my Dad, but it did come under threat when one of my nieces tried to give him her phone number as she was off on hols ~ he told her he had 27 grandkids all with phones it wouldnt be fair to have hers and not the others {besides he would need a dining table to hold em all!}

The "Sunday phone" is kept in a box by the side of his clock and only comes out on Sundays as Sundays is the only time he leaves the house for exactly one hour. Although he already has a phone contaning my step-Mums number that phone like the others never leaves the house and cos he needed a phone to take out when he did on Sunday he "really" had to buy his "Sunday phone"!
