I am so happy you are getting things back together again. People are really rallying together. I watch the TV and wish I lived closer so I could help in some small way. I feel so helpless. I have two spare bedrooms too which if I lived there I could let people have gladly. Our thoughts are with you all though.

We had a deliberately lit fire here in Perth today. South of the River.
Stupid idiots messing around with Flares and set the Bush alight. Luckily they managed to control it.
You would think that after the devistation in Victoria they would act a little more responsible. Some people have no brains. It is so dry here at the moment and it's a fire bomb just waiting to go off.

Anyway Mick you take care and look after yourselves

The TV images have been awful - very intrusive at times, homing in on people who have lost loved ones.

My heart goes out to all the families who have been affected by the bush fires.

Good to see your getting help Mick.Hubby said if needed he would take holidays and come down and help. Just let us know if you need any help. Have tent will travel.

That's such a relief to hear Mick ... have been thinking of everyone yet to be honest, there was a time I think when 'our hearts were in our mouths' so to speak ... the relief when we heard your voice ...

I can only imagine the amount of mess that must be blowing into your house with every puff of dry wind..
I hope it rains enough to dampen everything down and encourage the vegetation to grow, but not enough to wash the soil away.xx

Everyones fine Shimms -i have electricity, enough water to last a little while, enough hay for the goats to eat, and I have secured most of my
boundary fences.

We could do with a drop of rain here-
I am sick of this ash and dust blowing everywhere!

People have been very generous - the Vic Farmers Federation rang me
up yesterday and asked me how much hay I would like,
and today the Shire rang up and said they had 600 volunteers
wanting to help us all fix our fences! Great!

Cass (my son's dog) has just had a few mad moments doing his 'dinosaur' dance with my cat being a 'T Rex Goose thing, hissing and spitting', all 'nothing of her' ... she won! Keep trying to explain to her that it is most 'unladylike' lol!

Will start saving Sue, need spending money for the wineries and yummy chocolate factories LOL
