A very happy birthday to your dear mum,
I hope you both have a lovely time. Sadly I lost my dad who had Alzheimers only four weeks ago. His last birthday was the loveliest day I have ever spent with him, so treasure every one with your mum.
Love Immy x

Thank you for your good wishes, Keith.

I will pass them on to her. She gets all excited if I mention that I have spoken about her here, and have had lovely, thoughtful replys.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR MUM

I know that this probably a bit pre-mature.

My wee mammy is 80 on Monday. Alas, she is suffering from Alzheimers. A week after her birthday, is my dad's 20th anniversary.

In 1989, we were celebrating mum being an OAP (60). A week later she was a widow, sadly.

As she is having a special birthday(80), on Monday, we are hoping that on the day she has a happy day, and, for a while, puts dad's anniversary aside.
She has been getting all excited at the prospect of her birthday, without mentioning dad's anniversary. I am not sure if she has forgotten the closeness of the dates.

Thanks for listening to me prattle on!
