My kids get £1 per tooth, whether it comes out of its own accord or needs a little help (Hertfordshire tooth fairies are obviously very tight). The only reason they get that much is because when my eldest's first tooth came out we didn't have any 50p's in the house - so we had to put a £1 under the pillow and therefore set a precedent. Folding money is excessive - it's supposed to be a bit of fun fer gossake! |

I bought a 'tooth holder' for my grand daughter, which take a £1 coin nicely. |

The going rate for most of my children patients is £1. Some toothfairies give a fiver for the first tooth. |

My daughters not old enough for the tooth fairy yet, has only just got the six teeth she has in her head, but I will give her enough to cover a small toy and a choccie bar...£10 is too much in my opinion....but im a tightarse :) |
