Oh goodness Izal was the first ones mum bought after the War when we thought we were a bit above the newspaper. Nasty rough things they were too,At the height of luxury then Mum would buy the packs that dispensed them as individual sheets.Still rough tho and very unpliable!!

McB my fil loved that stuff always used it.

Laddo wraps it round hand , maybe should tear it off in 2 squarebits that should help lol

Well remember the torn newspaper squares held together with a bit string in the outside lavvy in the 1940,s You really had to NEED to wipe your BTM after loo visit cos it wasnt a pleasant experience,BUT then in WW2 it was make do & mend!!.
We are very spoilt now as OH only wants the quilted soft ,but I do buy Sainsbury,s own brand in packs of 12.
When our grandaughter lived with us we went through Loads of toilet rolls ,she would just pull the roll till she got a BIG mass of sheets and then fold it all down just to wipe after a wee, Its a wonder the drains didnt back up with all the paper she used.
Now there's just the two of us again a pack of 12 lasts at least a month ,I do re buy when we havent any spare even tho both loos have some on their loo roll holder

It might work out cheaper in the long run if we all had bidets like on the continent.

Andrex Quilted,little more expensive but can use less,as long as you are not one of these people that wraps it round the hand several times before snapping it off.lol.I seem to spend a fortune on the stuff.
When I was a child a friend of mine lived with a nasty old Aunt and she was only allowed a square at a time!!!!

hmm cooking is down to hubby so could blame him.

Its Andrex so not really cheap stuff can just imagine my lots faces if I put out newspaper hadnt thought of the extra cleaning with it

If you buy the cheap ones they are usually so thin that you end up using more rolls than you would if you bouht the better quality. Cant recommend newspaper, very hard on the bum and not successful at cleaning, so more washing!

swear my lot eat it as seem to go through loads of the stuff, am gonna make newspaper squares soon see if they use less of them mind yiou would probably be in there longer reading them lol
