Heartfelt sympathies go to Christel, I can't begin to know what it is like but I do know many get thro' it.

This site provides support and care when needed and if nothing else
((((( hugs))))

Christel,

I for one are thinking about you ....truly I am ...
These doctors and their team are so professional , I'm sure you have no need to worry, it is a shock when you are told that you have cancer.

I am a cancer survivor too. and told be told that you have cancer is such a shock. It made me numb for days.
But here I am... 18mths later still going for check ups.

Please leave it to the Medical team .

Thanks Daff....But I don't think a Foo Manchoo tache would suit me, I don't have the eyes for it...lol.
A lot of my friends who've lost their hair, normally complain about it growing out of their ears & nose.....Gets pliers & pulls hard!!! Eyes water!

Thanks Ann, Daff & all those who've posted for Christel. The kind support this site provides for people in need, is it greatest asset.

Love
Steve.

Hi Daff,
I'm sorry to hear that you're fighting Leukemia. As you said due to medical advancements, chances of survival is much greater today.
You obviously have a positive attitude & will hold you in great stead.

Wishing you a full & complete recovery

I have just tried to find the thread, and cannot... has it been deleted? Whatever... Christel, being diagnosed with cancer is not a death sentence... it is the start of a new phase in your life that might be a bit difficult... I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in October 2008.... and I am half way through treatment that is not pleasant but nowhere near as bad as I feared ... but it can usually be overcome... more people survive cancer these days than die from it. But I feel more positive, and better in myself than I have done for a long time.....

There are a lot of people on this board who either have, or have survived cancer... not just survived it, but really kicked it's sorry little a**e... Just put a thread up on General... and we'll be there for you

Take care... we have a wonderful community here, very supportive, as I know only too well.

Love

Daff xxxx
