Hi Ros, i wasn't bought it I bought it for myself, he just organised it.
Penny it is a Samsung, the key board is the same width as the screen but the keys are quite large, I'd say as large as a normal keyboard, just closer together. It is also a Qwerty keyboard which some are not. (It was over £300).

Ann
Can I ask what make yours is? I'm looking for a 10" one. OH has 7" inch & I think it's too small. Is the keyboard normal size?

Don't have a notebook, but my hubby bought me an ipod touch for Christmas. My first thought was "what's he bought me that for", but I love it now!! Have all my music on it and games and photographs too.

He didn't realise though when he bought it that it connects to the internet....lol Now I can sit and torment him when he watches "his" television. I can sit at the side of him playing with my new toy!! Makes a change from being banished to the other room to use the computer!

Good for you Ann.
I'm on a notebook, and have been for a year or so. It's so handy as I travel a fair bit. It's much lighter than my previous laptop, and smaller, but not quite as small as the one you described!!
Hope you have fun with it.

K

P.S. I remember when notebooks had pages and a little pencil attached at the side with string!!!!!!!!!

You're lucky Ann, I don't get bought gadgets!! OH didn't tell me about the PDA straight away, my nephew dropped him in it!! It was only second hand, but would have run into hundreds new, but the screens are very small, although newer one's are smaller.

I'm still waiting for my new monitor, 23" for web design, but I did get my 19" back that he had attached to his laptop!!

Enjoy the notebook.

I just happened to be reading about one that was £99 produced for Next to fit in a handbag. 'That would be handy' I said. next thing magazines appear with which laptop, OH is searching the web (he does love gadgets) "The Next one isn't good enough, screen too small, spec not very good, here's one, got a good write up, get this one I'll order it!!"
And it arrived this afternoon. Must say it is very pretty, dark blue with a shiny top that will show every finger mark, quite light but with a reasonable 10 inch screen, built in webcam. Being set up as I 'speak'. Needless to say it was a 'little' more than the Next one!!!

Ann, it's like the days before mobile phones. If it was important they would call back or leave a message, now you have a mobile you are (nearly) always contactable.

My OH has a PDA which he bought second hand from a computer fair. So as long as he can get a connection, he can get his emails.

I only mentioned casually that I wouldn't mind a notebook. ( I use a pc here and do have a lap top but it is quite large and heavy.) within two days i seem to have got a notebook! So now I don't have to leave my e mail etc behind when I go away!! wonder if i will use it????
