My way of getting a cat into cat basket:

Open basket in another room, pick up cat and tuck under arm, walk backwards towards the basket, slip cat out from under arm (backwards) into basket, now it helps to have someone else to shut the lid, but usually, cat is in basket before it knows whats happening!! Good luck!

Hi Rose, Sorry to hear your cat is feeling poorly. Try giving her a treat that your know she would normally eat and see if she eats it. If she refuses it I should take her for a check up. My cat was 18 when she died and my DIL's was 21 so they can live to a ripe old age. xxxx
