Morning Liz :-))..... if you saw the state of me at the moment with paint in my hair, overalls, chipped nails and hair that needs cutting.....'twould be a scary sight that would be enough to give you a heart attach.

I've met a few members in their local ROs where they have shown me the ropes, which has saved a lot of time.

But the Ladies wot Lunch meets are all about puddings, and nattering, really.

I expect it would be a bit difficult to combine nattering with research. I know when I have been with a cousin, and another time with Oh, that it was difficult to focus on the job at hand and found it easier if alone....but maybe that is just me.

My other lot are from Durham and Newcastle so waiting for the 1911 census and hoping they tell me more than the 1901.

I went to the Civic Centre in Newcastle a couple of years ago ( they have changed it now ) the info there was overload and as I didn't really know what I was looking for I need to visit again now that I do. I met and stayed with a cousin I didn't know anything about until I found a long lost Uncle.....it was difficult combining chat with research.

Don't know how I missed that Ann.....sheesh...must have had my head in the 1911......Tsk! our Daffy.....yer could have let me know...tis not as if yer have anything to do these days..Selfish is what I call it....... ( puts on hard hat Lol )

Right Susan, well when you are more errr presentable and coiffured and groomed etc, and you decide to visit Daff in Wales let me know in time and I will try and arrange another holiday in the area, missing Llanelli as haven't been for more than a year now and I like it there! Then I can meet up with you both too, not the first time tho or won't get a word in edgeways lol

Bet you caught a lot of folk out Daff, lol, hope things go right later on, haven't seen any threads except this one yet!
