	I too remember navy blue knickers for pe and liberty bodices with them rubber buttons. Can also remember taking off liberty bodice one spring and hey ho I found something else and my mom bought me my first bra - lol Love Mary in Spain xx

	Grey at our school too, Liz. No shorts for gym lessons, just grey knicks and blue T shirt....no shoes allowed. Divided skirts style shorts were allowed for hockey and lacrosse. Although they were still short we were glad of the extra layer as the wind whistled in from the sea....Lol Gwyn

	Ours were grey! Then I think we had dark green for pe with little green pleated wrap over skirts but longer grey shorts for hockey! Used to freeze, I was such a tiny skinny little thing then, could have done with this blubber I carry now to keep me warm on that open playing field. It was across from my home and if my Mum looked out from her bedroom window she could see me shivering on the pitch! I hated games and pe with a passion! Brrrr! Lizxxx

	Mine were bottle green too! Not half as good as my mum's though - there was a pocket in hers!! LOL maggie

	remember my 6 cousins being jealous of me because i had wool vests and they had cotton...lol i was an only child and would willingly have swapped my wool vests for some brothers and sisters....

	Sande, plimpsoles or gym shoe to others!!! Yes remember the dreaded navy knickers with the pocket for a hanky. who'd want to have to fish under a skirt for a hanky? Also remember the horrible liberty bodice. Long socks with garters to keep them up! 'pixie' hoods, which my Mum used to knit!!! Ann Glos

	Also the tafetta petticoats which made your skirt or dress stand out. I also remember the plastic jelly shoes/sandals I'm sure were bought from Woollies. The 3 of us had a different colour pair so we wouldn't get them mixed up.
