Whats this? Has Jean been doing a nightshift?

Anyway, into the Coffee and Toast.
......an hour later....I have drunk all the coffee and eaten all the toast. If your not fast your last!

Found the key to the biscuit cupboard....yippeee!

Went for a biscuit only to find that the lock had been picked and the biscuit tin was empty. Wonder who has been in?

Will probably get held up in the Glen today with the School bus. If I'm ahead of it I always get a wave from the children waiting at the end of their drive ways. Not so many familys live in the Glens now. A lot of the steadings are Holiday homes.

Gosh! I'm full after all that Coffee and Toast....What a greedy lump!!!!!!

Have a good day ya all.

Thanks Shelly, hope your lad will be ok and the bruises go soon, I was lucky we lived 5 mins hobble from a and e when my son was younger, he ended up there several times to be checked over, twice had an arm in plaster, different one second time, both skateboard injuries with suspected fracture of scaphoid.

Glad you like the outfit, not wearing a hat as don't have one the right colour and not wanting to spend any more on something I probably won't wear again, I already have two wedding hats, a pink and a blue/grey but no one is wearing hats anyway so don't want to be odd one out. By the time of the wedding I will have coloured my hair so it will look better.

Just hope I don't get too hot in the jacket, the dress is a bit strappy without anything to cover my flabby upper arms etc.

off now, night Shelly,
take care all

No panic, it is being done professionally - going tomorrow at 5 pm and have exfoliated all week lol I just think that putting the tanning moisturiser over a tan will look less obvious and might keep it ok enough to last without having to take the time to go and get another done, tomorrow is the practice run for me on how well it looks - or not!

I only need worry about my arms, shoulders and legs really, the middle body doesn't matter, am not showing that off to anyone lol

Altho lol not wishing anything up but remembering Huia's post, should I have an accident what would the docs think of a brown and white stripey person, brown legs, white middle and brown top half lol

There are a couple of people I wish I could exfoliate too lol

LIZZZZZZZZZZZ........Be careful with that spray tan !!!!!!!!!!!
...Lethal stuff .. or get him in indoors to treat you to have it done professionally in a salon .

You really have to exfoliate your skin first or you WILL have streaks !!

My God Liz we cant have you all streaky for that lovely wedding that you are so looking forward too can we !! LOL

Just pmd you Jean.

Rita, you sound as tho you will meet yourself coming back with all you have to fit in, couldn't cope with drinking aniseed, I hate it!
Good luck with all the tests.

Marilyn will be safe in Norwich as the wedding is 40 miles away and we will be away from Friday to Sunday and then busy the rest of the weekend, so plenty of time to catch up later on if you can get away Marilyn.

Thanks for all the comments folks, I am trying to cover all eventualities re the weather, the dress is a bit too revealing if it's hot and I need to remove the jacket, hence me looking for an alternative cover up for my arms etc. Might look a bit better if the spray tan I am having tomorrow works ok and I can have another next week before we go or can boost it with some of that tanning moisturiser stuff, have plenty of that but hadn't dared use it before cos of streaks showing up on my milk bottle legs.

I think I will get a piece of material and make the scarf into a stole as that will just go round my shoulders, upper arms then and not detract from the dress.

More later perhaps, lots to do this evening, altering the straps on the dress a bit so it's not so low at the side and to cover up the sides of my bra.

take care all

love
Lizxxx

Hi All,

Trying to pack......but its not happening ..LOL
in other words cant be bothered ...

I'll do it tomorrow, I have just had a lovely Chicken Curry cooked by ME !
I feel stuffed but I couldn't leave a grain of rice .. LOL.

So I'm going to have to run up and down the village, I'm feeling gutted that I ate too much .
My neighbour has lost her Parrot ,it flew away yesterday and we were all in the woods looking for it, they apparently opened the window without realizing the parrot was happily out of his cage & sat in the in the living room .

I don't think there is much hope now .....good bye Parrot !!

Off now ....back later ...

Going to look for Jeans thread...

Might get some research done this evening.

Hope you are all Ok. Thinking of you Jean, hope you don't mind but I have added you to the Thoughts thread.

Pauline I am pleased you are getting about with the family CHIPS what are they LOl I always have chips when I go on holiday my sister asks me what do you want when we are out I say Fish and Chips. it is not somthing I buy often my friend goes once a month to the chippy and get cod and chips for us. because we are over 6o we get the chips free but pay for the cod and it is a lovely big piece of cod nice and crispy which I like.
Pauline I would like a coffee with cream please.

Liz you look so much better wth the jacket and that dress it really does you justist

I fell asleep this afternoon when my son phoned I told him I had been into Town and come back with a headache. I had my dinner shepperds pie and runner beans and washed up made a cup of tea sat down to watch television and fell asleep I slept for two hours I could not beleive it when I looked at the clock. I did not know what day of the week it was or whether I had eaten or not.?

Mo I have to go to the hospital at 10.20 but leave here at 9.20 as I have to drink a pint of anniseed before the scan then have an idione injection which lights up my inside. so I am there about hour and half having the treatment.
Then the next day I have to have my Warfarin Blood test done and two blood test for my Polymalgia Rheumatica. which will check my Prednison Steriods to see if they can cut them down a little more.
Then I have to wait two weeks and phone the Royal Surrey Hospital for an appointment to get the results of the scan.

so it is all go for the next four weeks.

~~~~~~~~~ to Mo, Rita, Shelly, Marilyn, Liz, Linda, Yvonne, Stephen, Jean, Lady, Sue.
Hi everybody, forgot to say I've got son and hubby on holiday this week and next. We were out all day yesterday and we've been out today. I'm shattered, my feet are killing me and I'm sick of eating chips already. My son always wants chips when he's out - so we all have them. I always get him ice-cream as well but I end up eating most of it myself.
Jean, I'm so sorry to hear your bad news, you must feel shattered. I hope and pray that the treatment will knock the cancer on the head again. You know we're all here to support you if you need us. Rita and Marilyn have first hand experience of that horrible illness and the rest of us have second hand experience. Most of us have family who've suffered with it.
Liz, I think the jacket wins hands down, it finishes the outfit off.
I'm going to make myself a coffee with cream now - anybody want one?
(_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? \_/? \_/? \_/? [_] {_}?
I've picked the lock on Stephen's cupboard, so we've got biscuits and buns as well.
Hi all.
First of all, Liz I like the dress with the jacket, far more than with the shawl.
As Rita said the shawl is to old looking for you, and does not do the dress justice.
Stephen, thanks very much for the info on the Motherwell area. My son has been up there with his fiance, to visit granny and pops, and will be going back up again at the end of the month, to celebrate grans 70th birthday. My son was at one time thinking about moving up there, to look for work, but it's just as well he didn't, if jobs are that hard to come by.
He found employment locally, thank god.
Marilyn, you could pop in and see Liz, the wedding is not till the bank holiday weekend.
Anyway, you have got your hard hat, you could wear that, just stick a flower in it, and pretend to be a guest.
Rita, I know the price of the carbon monoxide reader was quite dear, but it's worthwhile investing in it, your life is worth a lot more than that.
What time is your appointment at the hospital next monday. I am pleased you managed to get a car booked, it saves a lot of messing about doesn't it.
Hi Jean, Linda, Pauline,Shelly, Yvonne, Lady.
I ment to tell you my friend brought me over Septembers "Family Tree " Magazine it is very intereting.
a few pages inside I saw a photo of Nick Clegg with a 1921 feedback visit http://yourfreedom.hmg.gov.uk/
but what caught my eye was Guy Etchells name (you may know he has a thread on here )
anyway this article said restoring civil liberties/allow access to the 1921 census.
Guy Etchells campaign for early release of the 1921 census
Nick Glegg requests a feedback from the public on possible acts of Parliament to be repealed could help with this with the repeal of the c ensus.
Morning to those who I have not said that too earlier.
I have had a hecktic day. I went into Woking to the Bank then brought my Elontric Carbon Monoxide Alarm at the gas engineer advised me yesterday. cost my £26.99 but have 5 years on it.
The Town was packed with people amd loads of kids. I went and brought some items from Sainsbury;s while there . when I got to the cash desk I found I had to wizz everything through the machine myself. it took ages (they are doing people out of work with these machines ) anyway I was going to pay by card and the machine refused me three times so I said to the women who came to help hell I will pay cash guess what the machine would not even take my £20 note. I said forget it. she said we will try again it worked. ? bring back the good cashiers I say.
Then I went to the stop to catch the bus home and saw a young women about 35 maybe a little older but not much come across the crossing with her children 7 one litttle one was holding her hand she must have been about three the other about a year inbetween all filing behind each other across the road. it was so comical to watch peopole were saying look at all her children. I said they are all well dressed and look healthy so whats wrong ?
I managed to get a car to take me to the hospital next monday for my scan so I am pleased about that . I can tick that off my list.
Liz I forgot to tell you wear the Cardigan you look younger in that the schawl makes you look like me and old grannie.
Love
Rita
Hi everyone
Jean sorry to hear of your bad news, hopefully the treatment will keep it in check. I'll be thinking of you.
Liz, saw the photo's and the dress is lovely and I think the jacket would be great, it matches the lilac in the dress. I know it may be difficult but try not to worry about the wedding, just enjoy yourself and if NY son is bringing wife it will be a good chance to get to know her.
