Morning all, (no I am not Jack Dixon lol) just to say I would like a purple hat and could I share a caravan with someone please, I don't do tents, never have and never will, playing in a homemade shelter/tent my dad made us put me right off, it was all those earwigs that crawled in during the night and when I went to play next day they all fell on me! Never no more! I leave camping to my son and his friends! Lidl have some nice yarn in at the mo, reasonable prices too and lots of colours!
have a good day, I am off to bed in a mo love Lizxx
still no word from either son or his dad, o.h. is confused!

Ah, Mo's back, and by the sounds of it..........ready for the off.
I hope that pink wool is florescent Mo, if we lose sight of our Scottish guide we'll never be seen again. We need to be able to see him at all times.
Can I have the lilac hat please? I quite like lilac, I think that was the colour of the dress I had for Sue's wedding.............the one that never happened.
Yvonne, was there any money in that sporran, or did you use it to pay for the whisky? Well done to your son, is he studying for his A levels now?
Shelly did you get that? We need to book the caravans at Glen Brittle. We'll pretend to sleep in the tent but when Stephen's not looking we'll sneak into the caravan.
Rita, try not to get too excited, it might give you a nose bleed.
Linda hasn't been on tonight, bet she's been frantically knitting away all night.
Stephen can I wear wellies instead of boots? Marilyn made me buy some of those posh Hunter wellies when we went to stay in her barn, she wouldn't let me wear my Asda ones. Now that I've got them - I might as well get some use out of them.
I hope it's not misty when we get there, it'll make my hair go frizzy.

Shelly whose caravan is Jean going into then. If she comes in with us, I will look after her and Rita. Special hot chocolates for the both of them to keep them warm, as they are not allowed no spirits at the weekend that will warm the cockles of their hearts. Rita, Marilyn will want to borrow your green Haversack, to go with her outfit. Shelly can take photo's on her mobile phone, so we won't need a camera love, thats extra to have to carry. Shelly, a limo won't be no good in the highlands, we will need the mini bus We can have a good old sing song on the way. Doh, Ray, Me, Fa, So, La, Tee, Doh, Just getting my voice in tune ready for the off. Stephen, what colour hat do you want. Full size pom pom and all.

Scotch Mist!
The Gaelic name for the Isle of Skye is.....
Eilean a' Cheo'
which literally means the Isle of Mist.
Can I have a BIG pompom on my hat please.

PS If you do a Google for the Isle of Skye you should be able to see some photographs.

Gosh I have not been as excited as this for a long while I can hardly wait. I hope you are prepared for a scotch mist Stephen ?so we will need silver foil and a mobile and a flare if you have one. dont forget the first aid box either, that includes seasick pills for those that might get sick if the sea is rough.and off course we must take our camera from the description Stephen had given us the views should be out of this world. I dont know how we will carry this on our back I have two Haversacks one Green and one Black if someone wants to borrow one. I am doing my losening up exercises now ready for this walk and climb a head of us." O you take the high road and I take the low road and I'll be in Scotland before ye."
be back later. Rita

Travel Arrangements;
Everyone to arrive at Fort William Rail Station for 17.00hrs (5pm) Friday.
We then catch the train to take us to Mallaig. This is one of the loveliest train journeys you will ever make.
Catch the Ferry at Mallaig to take us across to the Isle of Skye where we pick up a Mini Bus for the weekend.
We are going to camp at Glen Brittle and get ready to climb the Cuillin Hills. Spectacular high ridges and cliffs.
I can't remember where I read it but I thought I'd let you know. The folk on Skye are normal height....it's the MIDGIES that bite you not MIDGETS.
Looking forward to our wee adventure.
Gear list to follow.

now we're off camping this weekend, is there a nice B&B nearby? I don't do tents!!!
Son enrolled at college this morning, starts next week, his GCSE results were ok, what we expected, he's not very academic but he did work hard, got a better grade in maths than was predicted
weathers been lovely this week, hopefully stay good for our camping trip

Hi De Hi Campers. I have been up to Camping international, and booked all my gear ready for our weekend away. Check list of what we need please Stephen. So far I have got my hiking boots, waterproofs, water bottle, billy cans, and a portable gas BBQ for cooking the grub on. Don't want to start a fire in the highlands now do we. We got into enough trouble last weekend, lets be good this one shall we. Yep extremely good, titter titter. What colour wool have you got Linda, for these ere ats we have got to knit. I have got lime green, pink, orange, lilac, dark purple, navy blue, black and some of the white fleck left. Who's making what for who. I am going to have a big bobble on the top of mine, so that if I get caught short, and need a tiddle, you will be able to find me. I might get it adapted so that it acts like a torch,so that I can see where I am going. Insect repellant is a good idea Rita. A sleeping bag is a neccessity. Hm caravans are for wooses.

Pauline you cheeky little thing. you can get Stephen to help you. and my wooly hat I gave to a charity shop. lol I think they thought it was a shoping bag ? you could have got two hundered weight of spuds in that.
I looked on the other threads earlier on to see if Mo was on them but she is not on the ones I looked at.
I got my blood results just now from my warfarin test yesterday wasnt that quick good news it has come down from 4.00 to 2.90 and the tablets have been redused have to have another on on 14th so that is after the one 7th for my PMR. I think it must have been the idione injection I had when I had that scan. I will see when I have the other test next tuesday.
I am going to have a cup of tea now.
see you later.

I've just checked back and Mo hasn't been on for 2 days, that's not like our Mo, hope everything's OK.
Get yourself back on here Mo, we need your knitting needles, can't expect Linda to do all the hats on her own. Hope one of you have lime green wool for Marilyn's hat.
Rita, I remember the hat you made, bring it with you and someone will be able to use it as a sleeping bag.
Your past is all coming out now Marilyn, you little floozy. Were you the one they used to call Marina Marilyn?
Our caravan sounds lovely Shelly, we'll have all the comforts of home, are you going to take your lappy? I wonder if we'll be able to get a signal.
Camping in Scotland in winter!! You're a brave man Stephen. Must be a bit draughty up the kilt though.
Wonder if Jean will feel well enough to go with us.
Rita, are you sure you want the top bunk? It's going to take me all night to get you up there.

Marilyn Lucky then they harvested when they did my friend from Norfolk phoned me last night and was telling me she had gone into yarmouth and left her sheets out and when she came back they were covered in little black flies. she said she was not happy at having to wash them again. I lived near a pig farm as well and I hated the smell of them in the summer I use to close the windows when the breeze was blowing my way. Puuuuuuuuh.
Marilyn you have been spoilt not having slept in a tent. you get many creepy crawleries in a Caravan as you do Tents. I will spray you with some insect killer your'll be fine.
Pauline you will have to sleep on the top bunk I have a job climbing up the steps to the top bunk..But I dont want rude nosies in the night. Mariolyn you are a naughty girl it is all coming out now about you and those marines. come on spill the beans. I want to know all. there was me thinking you were a little angel.
Shelly wont boss us about she is too kind for that
Stephen can have a bivi tent and can keep watch there might be Lions about. or Snakes. changed my mind I will go on the top bunk bed Pauline just incase.
lets hope it dont rain.
