Mo,
We loved our Anderson , my brother made us kids a light hanging from the top from some wires attached to a battery , wow we thought that was the bizzo. Yes we had spiders loads of them that's why I'm frighted of them even now, but we had such fun playing shops that we got my brother to check for spiders before we entered ..LOL
One day a stray cat came in over night and gave birth to kittens so my mother stopped us from going in as the cats all spat on us being wild ... and until the kittens were old enough to leave we had to stay out....
Happy days ....LOL

Marilyn, my nan still had her Anderson Shelter in the back garden. I never liked going into it, it had loads of spiders in there. But I was friends with a little boy along the road, and we would dig worms up, from behind the shelter, cut them in half and eat them between us. Oooh yummy. ( YUK) Apparantly I was only five at the time. I know there food rationing was still on at the time, but I must have been starving to have eaten them. LOL
Were going up to the windy city, the windy city is really pretty, but it aint got what we got, no siree. I am still getting my vocal chords sorted out.
I went camping when I was in the girl guides in Malaya. Now thats a place for spiders Rita, and of course snakes We would sing Ging gang gooly gooly gooly,(cant remember the rest) round the camp fire, and we HAD to eat sausages and beans. We had a very noisy night, and it wasn't from the wind outside.

Went outside to get some washing in and heard some caterwauling, well sort of semi tuneful singing, Michael Jackson's Earth song, I think it's called. I peeped over the hedge and saw two little blond lads singing their hearts out and doing the actions that go with the song, obviously huge MJ fans. I watched them for a few mins and then spotted a very pregnant lady coming towards them, one of them said Oh here's Mum, I was having some special time to myself lol She came nearer and spotted me and I said how the singing had caught my attention. We got talking and the boys were very polite and cute, one 5 and one 3, seems her Mum lives further up by the supermarket and her flat backs onto the field as we do, and the boys had watched the corn being sown and saw it grow, but missed the harvesting the other day. Now tho they can run in the field.
They apparently really love MJ so I told the Mum there is a prog about him on tv tonight around 11pm on Channel 4 - she will record it for them.
I ended up giving her some baby aloevera and money plants and a spider plant baby too.
Maybe I was talking and hearing two future popstars lol

Not fussed about which caravan but must admit I have started snoring lately! I don't do the other thing tho and will lay off the beans and cauliflower to make sure!

I get the feeling none of us had wealthy parents..............lol
Looks like we all had to make our own tents.
Rita, I hope you don't bring any of those spiders with you, check your bags before you leave - just in case one of them has sneaked in.

Has anyone got room for any big spiders ? last night was my 6th one this time in the bathroom he was too big to go down the plughole so he went down the loo. I put a thread out for help. how do I get rid of them. back came a couple of replies telling me to lay conkers on the floor and the spiders will go away. it appears to be an old remedy. the only thing is I am looking for a conker tree. so tomorrow I will have to walk around the lake and see if there are any conker trees about. I have big oak trees and elms around here but no conker trees.. I cannot believe how big these are. and where they have come from.? I keep looking about incase I am near any.
well I have got my gear together ready for this hike one part of the Bitten Hills is Lava so I understnad that will be black like in Italy when I went to Pompii but surely Stephen would not take us over that it will be the green and heathers we will go.? I had to cut my toe nails as I could not get my hiking boots on I found my old Land Army socks in the drawer so they will go on under the boots. If the weather is like it is now here then we will be alright.
No I dont snore and I dont pass wind. Lol
Love Rita

Mo, when we were little, we use to put a blanket over the upturned clothes horse and it made a great tent. We only had bottles of water though, we didn't have pop.
When I was about 10, my friend got a real tent, she was posh because she was an only child and her mam worked as well as her dad. The rest of us in the street came from big families and only had one wage coming in.

Hi all. When you were young, did you ever pull your mums washing line down, and drape an old sheet over it as a tent. We then put blankets on the ground, to lay on. Bottles of pop, bags of crisps and biscuits. We were the guardians of the garden, and if anybody walked up the back alley, we would chase them away.
Well now girls,Shelly, Pauline, Rita, Jean and myself all sharing the same caravan. No beans for dinner,( we dont want no wind breaking during the night). I will bring some ear plugs for us all, coz we don't want to hear Marilyn shouting out her orders. LOL
Lets hope Stephen is back on line to show us were we have to go.

Morning All,
Please can someone tell me WHO I am sharing a Caravan with ? I'm confused....!!!!
Shelly & Pauline don't want me in theirs probably because they think I might boss them around too much and make them go to sleep early, Sighs !!!!!
So Rita & Mo & Yvonne & Jean & Linda & Liz Will you chose your caravan with whom you wish to share ???????
I do have All mod cons.......Electric blankets etc etc... Sky & wireless internet. Kitchen well equipped , dining room to die for.....drapes all over different colours in all rooms, , toilet is real, not a port a cabin style ..LOL best softest toilet paper that I could find , Kitchen to die for. In actual fact MY caravan won an award at the Caravan Exhibition in Earl Court..
I do have a very Large tent on the trailer behind the caravan that I always take with me that can also be used if forced to do so by Stephen,,,,,,still all mod cons but the beds are of the blow up type, but very comfortable also won an award .
If any of you decide to refuse this wonderful offer ......... please yourself and just sleep in the field outside. and get used to it ...LOL .
Now I have to go in to town and buy all this gear that Stephen has requested we do have a Goulds camping shop thats been around for donkey years .....But I prefer to look a bit glam no tassel hat for me I need Fur ...& designer sun glasses for the mountains that we might have to climb , Fur boots with sheep's lining, you lot will have to trail behind with those tassel hats !!!!, I not posh but I do like style unfortunately ....LOL
Think I've said enough now........

Hi All Looks like out trip might be called off if Stephen is having trouble with his Broadband what a shame and I have found my old Chelsea suporters Hat as well and scarf. now I am lost for words. Makes a change.
The weather is bright this morning sun shining, makes you want to smile all the time so I shall.
Hi Jean hope your feeling a bit better to day. I think of you and wish you all the best. keep thinking positive Love.
My son in Law is not so well after his chemo on Tuesday, he has done nothing but sleep. still not eating I asked my daughter to ask him would he like one of his mother in laws apple pies. ? that should make him smile as his mother and I were very good friends and when he first had my apple pie he told his mother to ask me for the receipt because it was better than hers. she phoned me laughing about it. he was 19 years old then.when he started going out with my daughter. so it got to be a standing joke. sadly both his parents are dead now he only has his sister. I treat him like a son because that is how I feel about him.
I am going further a field today to get some shopping. thought I would walk to the next villiage I can always catch a bus if I get too tired.
see you all later./ Rita

Hi Liz and Stephen and other late risers. Stephen I hope all goes well with the changeover. Only done that once and it did go OK.Thank goodness. It's another cool and bright morning here. The daytimes are lovely so no complaints. Walked to the village yesterday, Drs for prescription and bank to pay bills so nothing outstanding now. At friends last night for dinner, it was very nice too. Oh hubby came home around 1:00 yesterday still hasn't been called for service, but has to go back again today!!
Have a nice day everyone

Just dropped in to leave a wee note.
I am changing Broadband suppliers today, they say 'no problems' but I've heard that one before .
So if I'm not around, it's because of 'a hitch',
Gonna miss you. Nothing like a bit of humour to ease the pain.
Stephen
