This afternoon because you were not on here. I check back on my sister's husbands family tree. being as the Pope is due here tomorrow. I looked up my Brother in Law Pope in his family to find out more.
Pope Clement X (tenth ) He was Born in 1590 in Rome Papal State. He died in 1676 aged 86 in Rome Papal State. born Emilio Bonaventura Altieri. he came form Roman Nobility. I found a photo of him and 6 pages about him on the internet. My sister never mentioned he died 22nd July 1676 the agonies of Gout. he was 86 years old
There are two statue of him in Rome one in the square and the other just outside.
I found it all very interesting.
Rita
I suffer with Gout.

well what a surprise this is I have logged off and all all afternoon I even started singing to my self
Tell me how am I suppose to live without you. Now that I have been loving you so long. How am I suppose to live without How am I suppose to carry on. When all that i'v been living for is gone.
( sorry that was the song I had when my husband died in 1989.)
Well lets start with this Stephen. glad your back on line.
I say we go to The Hilton Hotel in Park Lane They should have removed the scaffolding by now.they were doing it up waiting for us.. Then we can go and see the "Jersey Boys " show. If you like Rock and Roll.
The Fountain in Trafalgar Squre is a bit dirty now. lots of dog ends and bit thrown in by people who dont bother with the bins around there. It was a lot cleaner when I dancing in the fountain on VJ night.

You are a tight ar*e Stephen, keeping the poor wifey indoors that long. My OH was not stupid, we got married in a leap year. But he hasn't got away with it, I make sure he remembers every year. I go around with placards round my neck, that say, it's our anniversary on February the 29th, but WE ARE going to celebrate on the 1st March. Huh he thought he was clever, but not as clever as me. We were only 17 and 19 when we got married.

Mrs Stephen is only allowed out on Leap Year Day
And only if she has behaved for the previous FOUR years.
Poor lass has been with me since we were youngsters. We met at High School. She was 13 and I was much older being 15.
She has always known I was a wee bit of a nutter and that I have got much worse with age.
My wee Grand Daughters think I'm nuts as well. But they love me to bits....I think. It's a great excuse to play on the swings when I'm with them...but then I'd do that anyway, whether they were with me or not.
Looking forward to a great night out in London.

Hello Stephen, good to see you back. We all need a kick up the backside to cheer us up a bit. I wouldn't mind going to the Ritz for afternoon tea,and then onto a show in the evening. I hold my hands up, it was I that was skinny dipping. It was flippin cold I can assure you. Rita could do nothing but laugh at me, a fat lot of good she was, when I turned blue with the cold. She mistook me for a blue dolphin. Marilyn turned all posh on us when she bought a bedouin tent with her, plus all her luxouries. I will wait to see what other suggestions the others come up with re the show. Will you be bringing Mrs Stephen with you. It would be interesting to see the poor woman who has to put up with a nutter. Still we are fine ones to talk arn't we, we are all nutters on here anyway. Oh by the way, I don't know about swimming in Trafalger Square, theres to many of the boys in blue around there now.

Help!
Can this wee Scotsman come in from the cold?
It's been SNOWING on Ben Nevis. Hope it stays there for a while longer before blowing about my part of the world.
At long last I'm back on line....what a hastle that was. 'Just leave it to us' they said, 'you don't have to do anything'
BIG JOKE!
They terminate my Broadband and then send me an Email to tell me what to do. If they had half a brain they would be dangerous. How they 'h' can I read an email without the connection?
Anyway....been missing my breakfast and all the gossip. I take it you all survived Skye? Have not heard any rumours of massed riots in the Glens.. or the Pubs....you must have behaved well.
Did hear about a Skinny Dipper...who was that I wonder?
Now where would you all like to go to dinner as way of an apology for letting you down.
I think I could push the boat out and treat you all to Fish and Chips wrapped in newspaper. Washed down with a big bottle of Irn Bru.
To 'h' with it lets blow the kids' Inheritance and go really wild.
We can start a real argument now....lets all choose a posh London Hotel or Restaurant....except Gordon Ramsays as I knew him and his family from years ago...his mum, Helen, is really nice but I don't really care for the others.
List what would be your idea of a real heavenly meal and a great wine to go with it. Served to you by the most handsome Waiters....what Nationality would you pick?.
Then we can all go to a West End Show. I hear the Chippendales are in town, but then that might cause palpitations for some of you...LOL. Do you think you could risk giving it a try?
Finish off the night with a Swim in the Fountains in Trafalgar Square...it's years since I did that.
ARE YOU UP FOR IT?
Stephen

Linda you need to go to Boots chemist they do a natural cough mixture Lemon and Honey and Blackcurrant and honey it is quiet cheap I am not allowed other types of cough mixture due to my tablets so I have to use this and I swear by it . my cough has gone in a couple of days (saying that I hope I dont get a cough. )
Pauline I dont know why you think someone like Stephen would go off with someone like that. a blonde I think he likes redheads. with a scottish accent. Lol I am pleased you said he was'nt wearing the skirt.
I emailed my son in Law this morning and asked him to shine my broomstick up as he has time on his hands (bless him ) I said I need to go somewhere and the broomstick was so dirty I bet he is having a laugh about that.
Marilyn your husband should not have to ask for a cuppa you should be there with a cuppa all the time
we still have lovely sunshine but it has started blowing out there.I went across to the chemist to re-order my medication and went into Waitrose to get some shopping I needed milk and bread was out of both. )so I walked a round looking for special offers didnt find any. then I had this idea a piece of Skate for my dinner my favourite fish. so I asked the fish monger to weight the smallest piece he had.. it came to £4.99 I said no thats too much just for me. so I had cod instead.which came to £1.62 a lovely bit and I had two small pieces of liver as well. came to 45 p. so I was happy I have two days dinner for £2.07.
I will have some Skate another time.

Morning all, it's not nice here Rita, no sunshine, just cold wind.
I thought the doctor had given you something for the coughing Linda. Is there nothing you can get from the chemist to calm it down?
I've never heard of that book Shelly, is it any good?
Don't try to do any housework today Jean, you deserve to just sit and rest with your feet up.
Mo, I think Stephen has deserted us, he was last seen by Rita, she said he went off with a young blonde wearing a short skirt. The blonde was wearing the short skirt - not Stephen, he didn't have his kilt on that day.
Marilyn, are you up yet?

Morning Folks Well looks a lot calmer here this morning. Lots of rain yesterday afternoon and evening. Went out with friends into Hampshire yesterday, had lunch in a lovely pub that we have been to before. I had Teriyaki Salmon. Griddled salmon on noodles and stir fry veg. The coughing is getting me down, but will pass in its own time, as it always does. Have the girls today and my son and DIL coming for dinner tonight, probably with the spaniel too. Hubby is off so should be OK. He'll probably go for a bike ride, give him some time on his own too. Really glad to read the news Rita, onwards and upwards. Hoping that Jean is feeling a bit better and that the next scan is hopeful.
Have a good day
Linda :o) XxX

That's good news Rita, everything seems to be going fine for you at the moment. Let's hope it stays that way and you continue to do well.
Jean, you're going to have to be very strong to start your treatment all over again but I pray that it works for you this time. And we'll all have to sit with everything crossed for your scan on Monday. You deserve some better luck - you must be due for some good luck now.
Marilyn how was your fricassee?
