Rita, I was just going to say the same thing that Stephen said..........you don't wear the dress for your events, it's only for the bit where you march round the stadium waving the flag. After you've shown everybody how elegant you are - you change into your trackie to do the gymnastics.

Marilyn hope you have a lovely holiday, but don't forget to practice for your events.

Bobby McGregor is my cousin...........probably not the same one though because he's a chef not a swimmer.

I'm back from the shops, got a lovely black shift dress and some very expensive pearls. Had my hair done.........very elegant it looks too. The stilettos are a bit high but I like them because they make me look taller.

The black dress is just for the parades.

You can wear hugging lycra for your events and receiving the medals you are going to win.

PS If you do a Google for 'Bobby McGregor, Swimmer' you will see we have a 'winner' on our team. I spent many a happy time with Bobby in our younger days, we almost lived in the local swimming pool.

I wonder which LBD to wear to the ceremony, on the shoulders, of the shoulders, scoop neck, cowel neck, backless, frontless, hmm will have to ponder on this.
My conkers are all ready, I have had them in soak in vinegar,and put them in the oven to harden them. They should be good uns, they shine and glisten oohhh luvverly job.
Have sharpened my darts points, and put new flights in.
My hula hoop lessons are going brill. I can now keep it going for 30 minutes non stop.
Of to the charity shop in a minute, to see about some pearls. Might get some ear rings if they have got some.
What time do the games start, does anyone know.

H Had visitors last night unexpectedly last night so was not able to join you all.

Now I'm in agreement with MTG ....Audrey Hepburn IS ME TO A TEA ...!!!!!!! ...Just love style ...... I 'm not wearing a tracky suit or a cat suit.......
We have to have glamour Girls & Boy.

I have a little black dress already ....the pearls I can borrow off of my sister as she is a bit pearly, I've always wanted to wear my Chanel high heals again.

MTG and I can lead the possession carrying flowers that she can get instead of flags ........sorted

Now I'm off in half an hour.....see you all when I get back taking lappy with me so might pop in ......~~~~~~~ back on Wednesday. xx

Sorry no way can I wear that MTG dont forget I am 5. 9 and I am doing Gymnastics. High Jump and Relay race.
I will never move my legs in the black dress. as it is I might need a leg-up to start with. so mine will be a tracksuit. blue which is my favourite colour.

BLUE IS THE COLOUR FOOTBALL IS MY GAME .i follow chelsea have since i was 17.

The sky is not that good big black clouds floating above and the rest is grey.so it looks like we are in for a grey day.

At least the ribbon has come down that blocked the new tarmac path so I wont have a long walk to get to the shops this morning.

Great News!
A friend of mine that I used to swim with has agreed to come out of 'retirement' and join our team.
Who is he?
None other than Bobby McGregor, former British, European and World Champion over 100mtrs.
Silver Medallist at Tokyo Olympics 1964, beaten by only a tenth of a second for Gold.

Next bit of good news.....a tailor friend has agreed to donate our uniforms....we will need to design them.
Bobby and I will be wearing our kilts.
I will have my Gordon tartan and Bobby his McGregor.

Things are looking good.

I'm sure Marilyn will join you,if you give her a nice swimming cap so that she doesn't get her hair wet. A nice lime green one would suit her well,with her swimming cozzy in the same colour, she will look like a green fish zipping through the water.
