Rita, I would take a loo roll with you, just in case. It might be that old Izal stuff from years ago, or just cut up old news papers, but it should be luxury loo rolls for the price of the rooms. No need to take towels, they are supplied,as are all the bathroom neccessities, also toweling bathrobes. Come to think of it, the loo rolls should be covered under bathroom neccessities shouldn't they.
I have got my suitcase packed, just left my landing outfit out. All us Audrey Hepburns getting out of the jet will be a site to behold.

You don't need your Marigolds Rita, Mo went over there last week and sorted everything out for us. We're going into luxurious apartments, we aren't going to the same place the other athletes are going.

Rita, I have been out to Dehli, to check up on the hotel. You will love it. I have booked us all single en-suite rooms, they were getting full at the time of booking, so I hope you don't mind but I took the opportunity, and booked us up there and then. It sounds like we are having all the luxuries we could wish for, with a private jet,and beautiful rooms. I just hope we will get all the equipment stowed properly in the Jet.
Jean, it's a shame that your treatment time has to be extended, but it has been making you so ill, that this way it will give your body time to rest in between doses of chemo. Stay strong love, we are all behind you, every step of the way.

I don't put details of living people on my tree Rita, just the dead ones. I can't see that it makes any difference if people copy the details that I have, they can be found on census records or BMD certificates. I don't mind sharing the info that I've found, if people ask me for a copy of a certificate - I just send them one. I'd rather people have the right info of my ancestors on their trees.

It seems that the Indian builders have not got any further with the buildings and other things in the Olympia village. I wonder what will happen ? I saw on the news also that the head of our Olympics buildings has resigned. so I bet that causes problems. I hope we dont get left with egg on our faces.. we could really have done without this with all the other problems we have in Britain..
Getting back to the nitty gritty of our games. I dont wear nail polish so I am going to email Marilyn and ask can I borrow her stick on nails. ? I am going to take my yellow Marigold gloves because by the look of the toilet pan and shower they will need a good clean out. I better take a dozen toilet rolls along as well. because it looks as if we will have to use the buildings that are not finished we can take a few palaiases with us fill them with straw to sleep on. I hope they let me on the Jet plane with all this stuff..

Pauline I was worried people might see it and make a note of the personel details on their trees even if they are not really connect to me. I have seen some of the threads that say so and so copied my details and is not connected to me. I know that GR have made mistakes and let someone see the trees without permission , that was why I asked.
But if you have your details on yours then i shall leave mine. Thanks for letting me know. Rita

Stephen, why do we have to leave from Heathrow, can't we leave from Newcastle?
I've been out shopping today as well Maddie, got some lovely new underwear (well, you never know!). I got some red nail varnish and a little bottle of black so I can put those flick things on my nails and a diamante pattern. Got the black eyeliner as well. Oh - and a long cigarette holder............don't smoke but I'll put a pretend ciggy in it.
Edit: Forgot to say, I got some of those long black evening gloves as well but it might be a bit too hot over there to wear them.

Rita, I do the same as you on my tree. I put any details that I've got about each person, I think it makes the tree come to life. When I find them on the census, I write in where they lived at time and who else lived in the house with them. Why do you think you might need to delete it?

Jean, I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad reaction to the chemo. The doctors told my sister that people often have a bad reaction to it when they have to have the course of treatment more than once. It's terrible but you have to continue with it because it's going to make you better. You've got a long haul ahead of you, but I hope our positive thoughts can give you some strength. You're in our thoughts every day.
Rita, you must be so worried about Steve, it's terrible that he's having fits and heart problems, he's been through so much pain. It makes you feel so bad that you can't do anything to help doesn't it? All we can do is send our positive thoughts for him and light a candle for him and Jean.

Hello Jean that is rough on you. my son in law has had reaction to his medication and chemo he was rushed to hospital as it gave him a fit .I wish they could find something other than chemo that would not be so hard on people My son who is a paramedic phone me a short while ago and I told him about my son in law he said it affects people in different ways and they can change medication but not the chemo. but he thinks if you can get through that your on the right side and can put up a fight but he said you must think positive. My thoughts are with you Jean. God bless love.

Hello everyone, you all sound as though you are working very hard to be fit for the games, please take care and dont over do things. I will be thinking about you all and following your progress, which I'm sure will be brilliant. Had to go back to Christies this morning, I reacted very badly to the chemo so they have now said I have to have it every two weeks, which will bring us up to Christmas I think. Hope you are all ok, you will be really fit if you keep up the exercise routine you are doing. Take care and stay safe. Jean xx

Stephen how will we know if it is safe out there in Delhi I understand they have made no progress in the building and cleaning up. the toilets and baths and showers are a mess. and they have only a few days to go The other athlete's left and have taken all the hotel rooms up they have none left I phoned and asked a LITTLE WHILE AGO I was told there is no where at all left.I asked about Caravans and was told no space leftfor them. and all the tents have gone as well.but all the rooms in the new buildings are empty.but not finished. so you will have to send up smoke signals to let us know if we are still able to go.as we all live far a part. I am not going all that way for norhing. I will see what the others think. Marilyn won't be able to go she is atill a way.

POSITIVE,POSITIVE, thoughts and heart felt wishes for Steve , Rita. The poor chap has been through so much hasn't he. Thank goodness your Daughter had the forethought to get help for him.
I forgot to tell you I have renewed my membership as well. Both Shelly and I renew at the same time. I believe Sue was around the same time as us for renewal Shelly.
Don't let me forget about going to the games on Thursday, I mean the day, date and time. Rita and I are the ones who get ourselves lost most of the time,so don't go without us please.
Maddie, what time did you get away from the boys in blue the other night. Was it you I saw in the back of the police car?
Right, only another hours run to do,and then I am going to be doing my darts practise.
I will forgive you for leaving me behind Pauline, you obviously had other things on your mind. Watch out when you go for your next run, take a big stick with you you beat the beasties away. Are you sure it was a fox chasing you,and not Stephen in disguise, checking up on you, making sure you keep up with the excercise. After all, he is used to camping outside. In fact, on my last run, I was stopped by a stranger, asking for directions, hmmmm who knows.
