My god Maddie, was that Stephen with that roller. I know he's strong, but for goodness sake, if he wanted his wife to flatten his shirts, he could have used a travel iron to take the creases out.

MotownGal Report 5 Oct 2010 20:09

Yay.

Go Stephen, go Stephen, go Stephen.

We are de-boom. Brilliant today, even better tomorrow.

Hope you are ok Rita. Hospital went well. They can usually start my blood tests well, but cant stop the flow. lol

Think they want us to be up early to help stamp the track down. Apparently the steam-roller has gone AWOL. Some Scot wanted to show his strength, and pushed it off the track, last seen, heading toward Delhi town centre. Muttering something about wanting to press all the clothes cos the iron has exploded.

Rest tonight all, big day AGAIN tomorrow.

Who is the fellow in the Gordon Tartan kilt, stepping up to this heavy ball of iron.

16lbs of cast metal.

He looks small and compact but with powerfull shoulders and thighs.

It's Stephen from Team GR.

This team have astounded the games committees I wonder if this lad can keep up the standard.

Picking a the shot he tosses it around like a tennis ball.

Now he tucks it close under his chin, eyes looking skyward he goes into a full circle swing, kilt spreading with the speed.

The arm straightens....the shot sails skyward....upward
and onward, over the last marked position, still moving at speed.

Sh*t ! Right through the Score Board.

He has beaten the last competitor by 15 metres.

GOLD for Team GR.

There are loads of ladies running around wild, all of them seem to be wearing GOLD.

Maddie, Shelly said you aren't allowed to get silver, it has to be gold - so I put you down for a photo finish.

Well done both of you, the medals are mounting up.

Stephen is lagging behind a bit.........but he did enter quite a lot of events.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 5 Oct 2010 18:31

Shelly and I did the running backwards and hopscotch.

We managed to get Gold and Silver in both. I got a Gold for running backwards. Shelly got the Gold for hopscotch.

SO we are very pleased, and hope you will be too.

Hi everyone.

I had to fly home today as well, needed to get shopping in for hubby and son...........don't think they know where the shops are.

But I rushed over and did the trampoline event before I left this morning. I was in a bit of a hurry to get it done so I could catch my plane. But considering my somersaults and twists routine had a DD of 15.50 (and the world record for women is only 15.30) they had no choice but to give me gold.

I'll update the medal list later, I think there's quite a few to add on from yesterday. Has anybody won any today while I've been away?

Rita,

It was Swine & Flu Jab, doctor said it is what we have been given to everyone.

But that it was in my interest as Swine Flu could well be upon us this winter.

I never argued I just accepted it .........happily !!

Now back to my training........

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 5 Oct 2010 12:21

Hi Rita,

I'm going for my Flu jab this afternoon.......flew home especially for it !

Now I think whats happened is the last Government ordered so much stock of swine flu, that they have to get rid of it......I myself am not in favour of the swine jab ,but if its two in one ......not a lot one can do about it.

I'll let yo know Rita, later ...

Hows we all doing ? Pauline looks like she in charge of the score ...LOL

While I'm home I have polished all my furnisher and now quite knackered ,
so not a lot of energy left for any races today , but I have got 3 medals or maybe 4 ??????? cant be bad.

Maddie's is tip top condition......wish it was me ...LOL

Rita Report 5 Oct 2010 12:06

Linda and Maddie it rained very heavy this morning I wondered if I should take my brolly. I did and the sun came out still is out.
I had my blood test done and the nurse told me she would have to do two files as the new files are vacumed and the blood should go to the top but it stops short and when she sent some to the hospital they returned the letters that go with them. and she had to do then again so she is doing two lots now
while there I asked about my flu vaccine when would they start doing them ? I was told I will do your now Rita. Before she did them she said I better tell you they are two in one this year and I have no idea why they are doing this.way.?
one is the flu vaccine and the Swine flu vaccine all in one.
so I refused it I said sorry I dont want the swine flu one.so she had to mark it on my records I refused on the grounds I didnt want the swine flu one.
so if you dont want this one you should ask if they are two in one.
I have put a thread out to tell people.

It is pouring in London Town.

OH says the dog is sitting on the top step and refusing to put her foot outside. Funny how she will go to the Heath and swim in the Ponds, but will not go out in the rain. Will have to get her a little rain mac. lol

Skipped and skipped like crazy. Must be in tip-top condition by now. Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.

sees ya all later.
