SO you all are still around then? I thought you had all gone to ground and were in hiding.?

We have a grey day again but I have a few things need to do. I have to try and keep busy today too many memories.

I slept well last night after I had read about 10 pages of a book,.a silly old love story one of Mills and Boom Historical Romances.

Stephen Edinburgh brings back memories of staying at my Moher-in-Law in Bervie. we use to go shopping there and always made for the Kilt Shop in the high Street. after going there we went to a big restaraunt where the meals were steaks not sure think it was the "Steak House." My Step Father in Law use to leave us there while he went to a Football match.
and we carried on shopping.
I brought a Kilt at the shop for my daughter

Going to visit my son in his new flat tomorrow. He lives in Bow. He wants to show us around, so it will be along to Bethnal Green, Roman Road and then, hopefully, pie and mash shop.

Hope the weather keeps fine tomorrow. It is as dull as ditchwater this morning. Really, really grey.

My dear lady is joining me for lunch in Edinburgh then it's off to an Art Exhibition. Should be exciting........Not.
She who must be obeyed has laid down the Law so your's truly must go.
She puts up with all my mad nonsense so a bit of give from me has to be expected now and again.

Wouldn't change her for the World. She is truly one in a billion.

Apart from that I'm sure no one else would have this mad hatter.

I went out this morning. I needed the fresh air I also wanted to buy my chat and Take a Break books. gives me something to do in my spare time
It did not rain 'but it stayed grey all day' then about 4 it started to get colder.I have not put th heating on.
two of my Grandchildren were sent home from school with a tummy bug .they were both sick . so they are home tomorrow now.
My sister went to get her flu Jab today and they only have the flu one on its own .if you want the swine flu jab you can ask and they will do it. her doctors is in Hampsetad Graden Suburb so some have got it single and not double. I wish mine had done the flu one single.
I made my appointment for my Warfarin blood test for 2nd November,today I had no problem normally i have only a few dates left when I phone up. but I had a choice today..

And I've been to visit my aunt, that's why I haven't been on. It's horrible weather here as well, rained on and off all day.

This is the third attemp to post this on here why because it vanishes before I can hit submit.
It is a very grey day here no sky to be seen only a grey cloud over everything.
I had planned to go out and get some bits and pieces at the shops but not sure if I will bother today
One piece of news I won on Lottery last night, dont get too excited I know what I promised we would do if I won, but we would not get far on £10 so I will put it aside for when I renew my Lottery in November, lol
still after all this time I did have a little win whoooppee.
I hope our Jean is feeling a little better today.keep smiling jean we are all behind you.
Think I had better have a cup of tea and take my tablets before i forget.

While in Toguaymy sister and I visited a Naval Museum. and they had photos and maps of two ships the HMS HOOD the first one and the HMS HOOD the second one speaking to the man incharge I told him my Granfathers brother Walter a Chief Petty Officer had served on the first Hood and I had all his records of the ships he had served on which included the Hood this would be about 1889 onwards. I said the other HMS Hood my Uncle Charles had served on this.( just before it sank losing so many lives). he had been given another ship. and he was suppose to collect his belongings (which was still on Board )and go to the other ship but his missed the sailing and so his belongs went down with the ship he never got over the loss of all his friends on board that ship.
The man at the Museum asked me to send him notes I did. he said he had never met anyone who, had two members of their family on both the Hoods.

Yes our stomachs probably need a little rest, curry is heavy on fats and rather fattening.
Well up later today, thanks for the tea.
Just a quick tidy round the house today before hubby gets back, as I have FIL coming tomorrow.
Have just found a distant connection to his ancestors on Ancestry, so have a bit of news for him. Not a close connection, but has given me some names and I can give this person some to add to her tree so that is nice.

Tea would be lovely. Hope everyone is fit and well.

I have my porridge every day. Topped with bran and fruit 'to get me going'. This sets me up for the day. Fruit for lunch, then dinner when I get in. If this dont make me lose weight then nothing will.

Really bleak outside. Sort of milk of magnesia sky. Going out for a bit of shopping, dont start work until later today. Only morning each week when I can do things, like get things paid in the bank etc. How boring is my life sometimes.

After the experience of Delhi, will we ever be the same again.

Well, as my mum used to say, 'it's back to the auld clothes and porridge'.

The Indian trip is behind us we're back to reality now.
Well 'reality' as we know it.

Looking forward to going to the Palace on Monday to see what HM the Queen has in store for us all.

My husband's grandmother had a brother in law who died on The Hood. i am in contact with his grand daughter.
He was in the sickbay when she was stocked up before going on her last trip. Unfortunately there was such a quick turn round that he wasn't taken off. the rest as they say is history................. he went down with her. such a loss for his wife, his son was 11 and daughter only 8 years old.

Yes we all owe every serviceman and woman so much.
