Hi Everyone.

Well.......we have had contact ..!! LOL ......Linda & I....she is coming on Tuesday for afternoon cream tea.

She is somewhere on the Dartmoor today.......bleak I would think and lost contact with her mobile well that makes sense, I had to find her after she could not get a signal.

So I'm off to get some strawberry jam tomorrow that I have run out off cant let myself down and don't want her talking about me that I got half of her cream tea .LOL

Pauline lets say (Pete and his team ) organized one of the weddings of Liz's children.
and I had a piece of the Royal wedding cake ..!!! now that 's got you all guessing LOL

Shelly why don't you like Curry ? its lovely you can get all sorts of flavors perhaps you would like a mild one ..don't have to be Indian. I have just had a Thai Green curry ,
couldn't be bothered to do a roast as I ate too much last night.

Mo that photo made me go faint !! I couldn't face it ..LOL

Maddie is that right you work on a Sunday ?..... Oh I wish I could go to that Greek area for clothes I 'm ever so jealous.
I used to go to Petticoat Lane when I lived in London , just mind boggling, don't know if its still there now. I bought my boys their first leather bomber jackets there for Christmas years ago and kept them right up until their children were able to wear them. well worth their money....

Rita why are you getting to pleasure of Stephen and not any of us ?

What is the box going to be used for Shelly. I dont want curry either,a Mc D's would do me. To much expense at this time of year to be going to the Ritz again, just haven't got the pennies at the moment.
Unless Stephen is going to pay again.

Pauline are you trying to get me in deep doo doo. What photo are you on about, was it that lovely scotsman in the kilt, he's certainly a big boy isn't he. He's got big .....erm muscles aint he.
And yep it was me that ate all the breakfast, I dont like black pudding, so I left that for you.

Rita, if you would like a hunky fireman,to turn the mattress, I am sure I could arrange it for you. What type would you like, tall dark and handsome, or short and curly with muscles to boot.
It's lovely that your SIL, feels up to the journey to see you. I hope you have all had a great time,and that it's not been to tiring for him.

Maddie, I wouldn't worry about upstaging anyone in the dress sense. I'm sure Marilyn will have something in her wardrobe that Rita and I could borrow. Other than that it will have to be my brown trouser suit and boots,
coz it's going to be flippin cold in town tommorrow.
Maybe we could borrow a couple of mink coats from her Rita, to keep us warm.

Rita, it's good to know that Steve is feeling well enough to visit you, have a lovely day with them.

Am I the only one that hasn't seen Liz? Never mind, I'll get to see her tomorrow.

Maddie, I love hats, I'll definitely be wearing one. My favourite is my black trilby - so I'll have that on...........probably with a trouser suit, ankle boots (high heels) and clutch bag. Not sure what colour suit to wear though. Can't wear a black one because I'd look like I was going to a funeral.

Marilyn, was Pete something to do with Liz's security team? Was he in charge of her body guards?

Whoever books dinner - can you make it at the Ritz please?

Stephen, someone hogged all the fry-up you made, don't know who it was *glares at Mo* but all they left was the black pudding. Mind you, I like black pudding so I was happy with that.

By the way, I think the sparkle in Liz's eyes might have something to do with the whiskey she drinks...............it does that to a lot of people.

Do you know........that Rita will do anything to get a hunky fireman in her bedroom, fancy trying to turn the mattress over herself just so she could phone the fire-brigade.

I think Jean is getting up to Rita's tricks as well, now that she's feeling a bit better she's tried the mattress stunt. Nice to see you're coping a bit better Jean.

Mo, I forgot to say 'thank you' for the photo you sent me of Stephen, does he know you took that photo of him? Has he seen it?

Has Linda already left for Devon? I can't remember what day she was going.

Shelly, you won't have to travel far tomorrow, you and Maddie will have a head start on the rest of us. You might need to take a rucksack with you because you won't get all your medals in a handbag.

Wonder if Yvonne will be able to make it.

Morning all,

Thank you Stephen for that lovely Breakfast, but I have to skip it ,because I went out for a VERY late meal last night and I'm not hungry enough .....but you can do it again tomorrow .

There were 19 of us celebrating a 70th birthday ......but I bought her a card which was the best card she had because it was a 30th card !! LOL.... I think the whole restaurant customers wanted to join us, as there was so much laughter .... Ann Summers comes to mind and that's with our OH's ,! Gosh a few bottles of wine went down.

So I'm recuperating this morning taking things gently.

I have to ring our Linda sometime today for that cream tea I promised her , if she comes on Monday I shall not be able to see HRH, although my Pete has seen her many times and been in the Palace, now your all wondering HOW ?????????? LOL

Let you all know what day Linda arrives.....
Have a good day its beautiful here today

Jean I'm still thinking about you, your doing well. xx

Can someone book a place for dinner for Monday night.

Although we will have 'nibbles' at the Palace after the Awards Ceremony I'm sure we will all fancy dinner in London.

(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?

Tea, Coffee, Fresh Fruit Juices, Toast, Marmalade,
Cereals, Porridge. Etc.
~~~~~~~~
(________)_____ Fry Up anyone?
Eggs, Bacon, Mushrooms, Black Pudding, Waffles, Sausages. Hash Browns.
Got to get the strength up for tomorrow, it's going to be a long day.
Bobby, Tom, Andy and I are flying down tonight so that we get an early start.
Full dress Highland gear for us, but still sporting Team GR colours.
Bobby already has an MBE so it will be something else for him.
Tom and I will have to wear our Military Medals. Minatures, as we are not in uniform.
Maddie......I must be at that 'funny age' as well. Everyone looks at me and laughs.
Having another early start today at the Nieces house. Yesterday was very productive....hoping for the same today.
If I don't catch up with you tonight...see you at the Palace tomorrow. We are scheduled for 11.30am.
Ladies take a close look at HMs face, her skin looks great for her age. Well it was the last time she 'bumped' into me. Her Blue/Grey eyes have a lovely sparkle....or perhaps that was because she had so many photographers 'flashing' at her.
Have a good day ya all !!!!!!!!
Going beddy boe boes soon.
Nighty night all, God Bless
Mo
It is not funny when you have no one to ask to turn your mattress. over. I. am sleeping on Bumps at the moment .and my rear end has wrinkles over it it now matches my face and neck. the difference being I cannot put cream on the mattress to get rid of the wrinkles. like I can on my face and neck.
I had thought about pulling the fire cord perhaps I will get a couple of Fireman here to do it for me(, turn the Mattress I am speaking of.)
They go on strike soon so I had better make my mind up.
I think that Maddie is trying to outdo us with her clothes for the Place. I dont think I will buy any new clothes I will look through my wardrobe if not I will try one of the good charity shops.. you never no. I might buy one of the royal families dress they have given to charity..
I an not wearing a hat I thought I would put my crown on instead.
Wishing both Jean and Rita well.
Mo, I bought a pale green ensemble. Green to match my eyes. I bought a dress and coat. Wild slub silk. I decided against a proper hat, and bought a 'fascinator' instead. Delicate little feathers on a band. I shall scuff the bottom of the shoes on the back step tomorrow, I dont want to go slipping on the carpet now, do I.
Can I suggest that Stephen goes to Buck House as the Invisible Man. I can arrange for the St Johns Ambulance to bandage him up. lol
Back later.
I had to laugh at Jean and Rita,re the mattress turning. The last time I turned ours, I ended up laying between the mattress and the bed, Roly had to come and rescue me,as I was nearly p-ing myself with laughter, I just could not get out. I looked a bit like a Mo sandwich, thats me squashed between two slices of bread.
I don't know where everyone else has got to, Paulines not been on since this morning at 09.08. No Marilyn or Shelly or Yvonne either.
It's good to hear that you are managing to cope with the treatment Jean. It is still hard going though isn't it love.
Rita you were in my thoughts yesterday, and I was willing you to be strong.
Stephen, your face is now on crime watch, the queen's security clocked you talking to her,and they are now on red alert looking out for you. You had better go in disguise on Monday.
Maddie what colour dress did you end up with. The silver kitten heeled shoes will go with whatever colour you chose.
Did you buy a hat to go with the outfit. And not buying a long dress was a good idea, you don't want to catch your heel in it,and end up on your BTM.
MotownGal Report 16 Oct 2010 18:17
Evening all.
Pleased we all had a good day.
I hate matress turning. I usually end up with the mattress on top of me. I try and do it from top to bottom, then turn it over. It gets very confusing.
Got my dress, decided against a long one, just something very understated. Kitten heels, but still a clutch bag. I will need something to put my gong in when we see Her Maj.
Fancy Stephen bumping into her already. I can see him trying to curry favour [see what I did there, a little joke] with our Liz. Had my nails done, will have my hair done on Monday morning early. Tracey my hairdresser has said she would open up extra early for me. So Bob's your mothers brother.
Dont think I will be doing much tonight, as I said, work tomorrow.
Soon be dinnertime. Trout, gotta have my protein to keep me going.
Busy, busy, busy....................................
Try to get on again a bit later.
Glad to see some folks are keeping this thread going.
Good productive day. Early start tomorrow again.
Will need to make sure I get the paint off my hands and nails for Monday.
HM the Queen accidently bumped into me when I was in St. James's Palace.....she very quickly apologised.....I was gob smacked.
Ever since then I think to myself....
If Her Majesty has the courtesy to say 'sorry' to me then why are so many people so rude and never offer an apology when they are at fault.
Rita and Jean, you may be getting a wee bit older and perhaps not as strong as you were but what you give to us on this thread more than compensates for that.' More power to your elbows' as they say.
Soon be time for tea...I'm feeling peckish.
Catch you later.....Bye.
I have the same problem jean I need my matress turned over but will have to wait till my son comes to see me. I tried lifting mine had a terrible job I got it on the side but had to slide it back on the bed. Oh the joys of getting old.
I am find today thank you Jean , yesterday was a bid of a downer .but we all ; get those..
I hope your feeling a little better today.. have you had any of your results though yet ?
