Ouch, watch it Pauline, that pin went straight in where it shoudn't have. I nearly went bang, and was a bit lop sided. I haven't got a lot to start with, I don't need to lose what I have got. LOL

Oh thank god I have found you all. I missed the train at my end.
Did anyone pick up my wotsit for me.
Dame Shelly, tut tut, it doesn't sound right. We love Shelly the way she is, don't change Shelly, tracky bottoms and all.

Marilyn, I can't think of that song without thinking of Morecambe and Wise, I'll never forget the time they did that sketch with the news readers and weather men..................I loved it.

Somehow it doesn't look right curtsying with trousers on.

Rita, I bet it was your estate manager who made that hoax call.

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 18 Oct 2010 12:59

Glad you made it Rita, thought I was going to have to keep curtsying all day on my own.

Edit: You could see that bit of rock to pay your winter fuel bills off.

Well I've made it, don't know where the rest of you are. Hope you don't expect me to collect all the awards. The MBE is on a red ribbon and it's very pretty, doesn't look as posh as the ones Shelly and Bobby are going to get though.

Is a DBE called a Damehood?

Stephen2009 Report 18 Oct 2010 10:53

Hoi,

It's a hoax call.

Get back to the Palace .......QUICK !

Don't let anyone put you off. Tell them that the SAS and SBS are your escorts........that'll do the trick.

Dame Shelly.....your on first.

OH just rung me about the cancellation.

I'm standing here like a right nana in my gear and feeling a little damp. It has just started to drizzle.

I wondered why the limosines swept into Buck House, I thought it was something to do with our reception.

OK, home on the bus.

Gonna need a hot bath and a cuppa.

Speak later.

Morning all.

It's cold and wet here today, so I'm glad I'm going to London, it might be a bit better down there.

Rita, I didn't get that phone call from the palace, are you sure it isn't a hoax? I think someone must be jealous of you getting an MBE so they're trying to stop you from going. Get your glad rags on and make your way over there, you can do the washing tomorrow.

Your son-in-law will build his strength back up after all the chemo is finished, God love him - he's been through a lot hasn't he?

Morning All,

Thanks for the breakfast Stephen , only needs cereal & fruit.

Rita how lovely for you to have seen your son, oh why do we worry about them STILL ?
only time will get him to walk a little better , he's done ever so well up to now.

Its a nice day again today, but it did rain during the night.
Glad its turned out nice for Linda she must have ordered the sun before she came here.

Going for coffee at my sisters this morning, her grandson went to Afghanistan last week and she is a bit weepy about it as he is the eldest of her brood, think I'll put some Whiskey or Brandy in her coffee !!

Rita I thought it was today that we are all seeing HMS, I'm all confused now... only I got to be back first thing on Tuesday morning for my meet with MBE LINDA .

Shelly where are you now?, I don't see you much lately are you still up that tree of yours, I still get updates on your tree telling me who you have added , how does that work ?? LOL

Off for me bath......

I have a lovely day yesterday when my dear son in Law came with my daughter. he walks so slowly. has to c.ould not get about without his walking stick. he is only 60 years old. but he looked better than when I last saw him. still very thin and gets so tired. they brought me three large bunches of flowers They are really lovely so the flat has vases of flowers everywhere. they stayed for three hours. he said it was his frist outing for three months but he did get tired towards the end.

He did eat a small cake as well. so I was pleased about that as he has a job eating.

see you all later.
Love Rita
ps very cold today here in Surrey.

Rita Report 18 Oct 2010 08:43

I got a phone call from the Palace saying they were sorry but the party to meet the Queen has been cancelled due to the Chileian PM being there . but they are going to instruct the PS to send out another date. so who every booked the Ritz for dinner will have to unbook.

I brought a new dress and shoes for the do as well.

Maddie how come you didnt get the phone call as well.?

so I have sorted out my washing might as well do that today.

Morning All. Hope we are all well.

Dame Shelly and Sir Robbie, how fabulous. Well done.

Up, bathed and dressed.

Orft to the hairdressers now to have my hair done. Having my make-up done there too, and will dress in my new outfit there. They have been very accommodating. Lord knows I have spent enough money there over the years.

Excited.

See you all there at Buck House.

Sorry all but I am jiggered.

I am not contracted to work on Sundays, but there is so much sickness at work, that I did them a favour and went in [plus I get double time].

The Greek quarter for clothes is in Finsbury Park, it is great. Loads of shops where you can buy day/evening dresses, and a bridal shop.

Actually my daughters Wedding Dress came from there. Straight from the factory, it was quite a bit cheaper. Cream Satin. She is strawberry blonde, natural, with porcelain skin, so the white dresses just drained her colouring. Mind you the rest of the stuff bumped it back up a bit.

When people are going on cruises they head there. Fab evening dresses, embellished and plain, and at a fraction of the cost of the big stores. It is great.

Sorry kids, will be turning in soon, Big Day tomorrow.

Nighty night, all.
