Cooeee everyone. Maddie, you had our version of James Bond in your bedroom, and you slept through it, oh my god what are you like. Did Stephen leave a box of chocs for you as well, (Milk Tray ) if I remember rightly. I wonder if Linda and Marilyn are still yapping away. Thats if Linda found her way there. Yvonne it will be nice to meet you all,at the London meet. Are you coming along as well Pauline. I know Maddie and Marilyn will be there. I wonder if we could encourage Shelly to come along as well. If Rita could go up to her sisters that weekend, she could also come along. Unless Stephen is down in town,we are unlikely to get to meet him. Wouldn't it be nice if Jean could make it as well,we would all then know exactly who we are talking to on here, in our little madhouse. I nearly forgot about Brents birthday tommorrow Pauline. Are you going to do him a special tea. I hope he has a lovely birthday, with a special mum and dad. xxx

Stephen, a pitman's helmet would be easier to wear than a torch strapped to my head. I bet it was your idea to strap a mobile phone to someone's head to make it 'Hands Free'.
Yes, our sanatoriums allow us out on day trips...........as long as we don't stay out all night.......that's against the rules.

That's awful Rita, fancy nicking the books, they'll be nicking the puzzles next.
Pleased to see your meeting went well though.
Aww - HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY to Darcey, hope she's had a lovely day, don't eat all the cake Stephen.
It's all birthdays this week, it's my son's birthday tomorrow and it's Mo's birthday on Friday.
Yvonne where've you been? It's cost me a fortune for polo mints for that horse of yours.
I hope Linda found her way to Marilyn's house. Is she there yet Marilyn?
Shelly, I've just sent a dryer (in good working order) up the tip because I changed the colour of the kitchen and I couldn't find anyone who wanted the white one I had.
Where's Mo today? Maybe she's preparing for a party on Friday.
Maddie will be parading around London to make sure everyone sees her gong.
Jean, how are you this week?

Stephen I hope little Darcey is not a memeber of your club yet. , and dont teach her all your tricks. we dont want her to end up as daft as we all are. Marilyn I would still like a scone and some cream. even a few strawberrys would not go a miss. ?
Shelly it is not the machines they are doing a way with ,we only had them two years ago, one if a dryer and the other a washer. they are commecial ones.and cost hundreds of pounds. It is the tiles on the floor and the walls and all the doors are being changed. the laundry room leads off to a bath and shower room and seperate toilet. all these are being replaced. this is for anyone using the guest room to use.. I started a Library in the guest room. buying books and putting them in the Library, when I have finshed reading them. for any of the residents to read.some are poorly so dont get out .and the nurse comes in to tend to them.People get them a book to read from my little Library.it is free. sometimes I get cross ,as sometimes the books vanish and people take them when they go in to do the washing for someone.and they take the books home and dont bring them back.. I have a friend now who gives me Jig Saw Puzzels so I leave those in the room now.

Glad to oblige Maddie.
Dog was not a problem....gave it my Sporran to play with. It had a great time.
Ok ladies....got to tell the truth.
I'm still in the SBS.
Scottish Bampots Sanatorium.
They let me out to play silly games now and then
It's great fun.
I pretend to go to exotic places and usually find loads of folk that are probably from the same kind of places to go with me.
Then we return from whence we came and no one knows where we have been and how much fun we have had.
Night Vision Goggles...easy. Do what we do.
Strap a torch to your head. Magic.
I'm off to my wee Grandaughters 5th Birthday tea. Darcey is magic and I love her to bits. I've had her sailing and climbing already....she loves it.

I am back from the meeting, it is the first time I have been to the AGM and the meeting has finished so early .I dont get home usually till 1.or 2 in the afterhnoon. everything went well. all sorted we are having the laundry room redone so it will look nice. it has not been done since the place had been built in 1968.so the room will be out of action for a couple of weeks. as all the flooring has to come up.
Pauline I already looked at the Google Maps when they did the new system and found Georga.s Cottage.
Marilyn. I bet your excited at meeting Linda and her Husband . I hope the weather is being kind to them.? sorry to hear about your niece coming over here for such a sad event. didnt you . go and see her when you were on that cruise. ?
Are they having Devon scones with clotted cream and strawberries. ?and little cucumber sandwiches with crust taken of ? I think I might run and get that trains and get there in time for some of thoses. and the cream scones.

Good luck with the meeting Rita, stand your ground, and fight for your rights (the 'Beastie Boys' sang that didn't they?). (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!)
Rita if you go on 'google maps' and type in your granddaughter's address you'll be able to see her cottage............unless she's like Marilyn and lives in the middle of a field.
Maddie I tried to warn you it was a hoax call yesterday but you'd already gone back home. But Stephen made sure he got your gong for you, he wrapped it up very gently and put it in his sporran. He said he was going to get it to you by special delivery...........whatever that means.
Stephen were you in the SBS? Can I have a try of your Night Vision Goggles? I've always wondered what it would be like using those things.
I don't know how you explained getting home at 3am, you must be a very good story teller.

Maddie It had to be you . it had to be you .they wandered around and finally found Maddies room . I hope you didnt sleep in the nude.
Pauline no I have not seen my Granddaughters house only on film she sent me lots of those inside and outside of her Cottage.she is getting married in Christchurch Priory.. so I will have to buy a new out-fit for that. I am gaining weight. as well . My sister and I are going to book a hotel for the week. thought we might as well make the most of it.we can go about sightseeing.
It is a lovely day here the sun is out but we did have rain last night.not sure if it will last.?
I am pleased I did not use the Underground train to go to the Palace I would have had a fit if I had been on one of those and they had broken down through the electriciy. mind you there are rummours going about that it was done diliberate because of the unions strikes.but then people also say things like that/.
I have my meeting later this morning so better get my self some Breakfast. see you later Rita

Oh my, oh my.
I HAD THE STRANGEST DREAM.
I dreamed two wonderful young men had entered my house and left my medal. I know that they must be fit, as it is a four storey house, and my bedroom is on the top floor.
I do hope they didnt fall over all the recycling I had left in the passage to be put out today. A months worth of bottles, and two weeks worth of papers. I did want to sort out the papers that had our endeavours in them, but felt that would be pretentious.
My OH said I was nattering in my sleep last night, something about 'rocking a boat' but I pretended I didnt know what he was talking about.
Big stretch, and .............................. Oh, How Wonderful. Someone has managed to get my MBE to me. I have a suspicion, but no, really. HOW WONDERFUL. THANK YOU.
Strange that the dog didnt bark, these people must be SAS trained to get past her.
Daughter has just got up, says one of her undies are missing, not surprised, it is so small, size 8 [grrrrrrh] maybe someone is using it for an elastic band.
So Good Morning to everyone. Hope we are all well. Speak to you later, when in from the daily grind. Or as I laughingly call it
ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE.
Speak soon.
AND THANK YOU AGAIN FOR MY MBE. [sits staring at it, with a smile on my face] x

Tom and Stephen in their cammo gear stealthly approach Maddies house.
A slick and quick pick of the lock and they enter the house.
Using their Night Vision goggles they manage to avoid the furniture and other stuff lying around.
Crikey! I think she likes the wine....loads of empty bottles.
They finally find Maddies room and approach the bed.
Tom gently lifts Maddies head and Stephen slips her MBE under her pillow.
'Is that you Johnnie?' Maddie mumbles in her sleep.
Must be that Depp guy she's dreaming about.
They leave a note for Maddie from HM the Queen on her bedside table.
The door lock is secured as they leave the house.
Then they slip like ghosts away from the house and vanish into the night.
These 'old' guys still remember their training.
Stephen has a hard time explaining to his wife where he has been.....especially as a THONG has got wrapped around his boot.
That could only have come from one place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Night night ladies.
You will probably read this in the morning.
As you know I got caught up in the hoax. Was I awarded anything. I know Shelly is a Dame, gawd bless her.
If I did get anything, did someone pick it up for me. Look forward to your replies in the morning.
Night all. x

Mo
I have my Annual General Meeting tomorrow for our reirement homes and flats. The will tell us whether they are putting up the charge for the Ground Rents. it was £127 a month when I came here 7 years ago it is £187 now they do as they like these estates.
My sister and I are trying to find where to go for our holidays next year. we want to go in June or July and thought we would go to Weston Supermare as it is in Somerset where our Mothers Fathers family came from Mells and Frome.we thought we could taker a trip there to see where they lived.and base ourselves in Weston Supermare. so I am trying to find out as much as I can about it.? last year I put a thread out about Weymouth and got a lot of feedback and it was so helpful.
In September next year we are booking a week in Christchurch in Dorset as one of my Granddaughters is getting married and they live in Christchurch so we are booking the Hotel early for this as the hotels are not very big and it is going to be a big wedding. so my holiday will, be two in different places.
