My pal at work gave me an Army and Navy sweetie today, I think my Dad used to call them Paragoric sweets.

Gosh it took me back to my childhood. He used to bring in sweeties on a Saturday night.

He was a hairdresser, and worked on a Saturday. He finished about 6pm, then went to the sweetie shop and bought a big bag of sweets for me. Penny chews, licquorice, sherbert dabs, sugar mice. He must have spent no more than two bob, but it was an enormous bag of sweets.

One Saturday night, he produced a puppy from within his coat. That was a night ......................................

I could suggest you suck a throat sweet that I know of, but it would sound rather rude put into words. They are called fishermans friend, but I cant say suck on one can I. That sounds rude,and theres me a lady as well.

Mo I wanted to tell maddie that Brent was Pauline son and you get there before me.
I am sitting here typing ,and I have a wheeze it is driving me up the wall. .I kept looking around to find out were the noise was then I realized it was me wheezing.so I dont know how I am going to get rid of it.
I will think one of Stephens friends are in my bedroom tonight if I hear it.

Maddie, Brent is Paulines wonderful son, who is a very very special boy to us all.

I like to chew the chocolate of my turkish delight,and then nibble at the pink bit in the middle. Yummy ,mucky but lovely. We are all big kids at heart Autie Motie, Maddie in disguise LOL

I have just opened a pack of Aero Bubbles. I love them.

My last Post yesterday was deleted. I must have hit the wrong key. What an idiot.

I had been talking about madness in my family and how it was passed down through the years.

If you Google ' Charlie Barr, Americas Cup' you will find my Great Uncle Charlie. He liked sailing as well. He died very young and is buried in Southampton.

Family folk lore has it that he was missing a screw or two.

It makes interesting reading.

Heading back to the Sanatorium....my time out is nearly up.
