Yvvone it is strange my daughter in law went and picked her and her friend up after the show..
She has been off college for two days she has this virus that is going about.all their family have had it now..

Mo you little devil its your birthday tomorrow and I wonder what we will have at the party ?I dont drink only a glass of wine will do as it is your birthday I will toast your Health. Just think another year has gone bye and you are another year older.

Maddie that is right if you rub Vick on your toes it stop the burning and helps. i know .I do that when I get chilblanes.
sometimes it keep me awake at night so I do that vick and it eases it.

My Granddaughter went to a concert at Hammersmith I am not sure what night it was she went.? She starts her driving lesson in January when she is 17.

Thats it, I have decided I am NOT cooking tonight, I am of to Marilyns for me dinner tonight.
I have been to the dentist's about my toothache. I've had pain for two days now. She took an xray, charged me £16.50 and gave me a prescription for anti-boitics,as she says I have got an inflamation in my gum. This had better work, or I am back up there first thing in the morning.

Roly has bought me a BIG box of sweets, fizzy sweets that the children love. But me being a kid at heart love them to.
But I am to afraid to eat them yet, just in case it sets my tooth of again.
Anyone want a fizzy cola bottle, I will share them with you,coz I am generous like that. Not like someone we know, who wont share her chocolate.

I admire good hearted people, who go out of their way to help others.
Stephen, there are another six or seven of us.waiting for an invite to the castle on christams day. LOL
I will even wear a kilt for the occasion,as long as I can wear long socks with it.

My son has his first driving lesson on Sunday...scary... he was 17 last Monday. Last night he went to Hammersmith to a concert with a friend, he been to London before but this was the first time at night, I picked him up from the station about half 11, He text me to let me know when they were on the train. He's quite sensible so I wasn't too worried, they had a good time and enjoyed the concert

Food all organized, just have to lay the table then I can sit and take it easy for a couple of hours before my lot arrive , probably early like 4pm, especially as they know drinks are free ...LOL

I have just chopped up some advocado's and wrapped them in lemon juice and clingfilm so to make them airtight .....so hope it works to stop going brown ,I did not want to be doing that at the last minuet.

Pauline my Chicken is Chopped in Cubes and cooked with small pieces of bacon then sprinkled with Spicy Chicken granules in a wok, then mixed with new potatoes with juices from the chicken mixed with Honey & Mustard sauce. feta cheese & advocado.

All on a bed of water cress , rocket & spinach & pine nuts.....

Plenty of fresh bread dipped in Humus .....if liked

I don't think there will be any left as they all love it ..LOL

Hello All.

Just a quick one before I toddle off to work. May not be on again after work, probably too late.

Waitrose do LOVELY toffee apples. I am a bit dubious though, dont want my fillings being pulled out.

I had my flu jab about 3 weeks ago. I was a bit groggy the next day, but fine apart from that. Better than getting flu.

Waitrose also do a Fish Pie Mix on their wet fish counter. White fish and an assortment, great for making fishy pie with mash on top. A lot easier than buying all the individual fishes and chopping them up.

Apparently Vick rubbed on the feet helps chilblains. I dont know if that is true. But it sound good. Someone at work told me that.

Off very soon. Gotta eat before I go.

Maddie we always called the Army and Navy cough drops.Lol
and I do have Fishermans friend lozengers always had those in the house for the male members. That vic did help me sleep but it smells when you put you head under the covers to get warm, the Vic not me.
My Dad usr to buy sweets for my sister and I when we were little on pay day a little bar of choclate cost about 1 peny a bar we had alsorts of the old sweets some are coming back to the shops now.
This will make you smile.
I went to Waitrose to buy some shopping. I had made my mind up I would make a little meat pudding for dinner today as a treat. .which I did.and it is steaming now. but while there. they had all their Halloeen stuff on view and I brought my self a toffee apple not one but TWO. I could not resist it. I hope the apple does not go off before I have time to eat it. lol
I feel like a school child again.
Marilyn I am not having the flu jab unless I can get it without having to have the swine flu on with it.
I know now five people .without the ones that went on my thread .about the flu/swine jab.they all had pains in their back. and the back of their legs three had to go to bed as they had bad heads as well.
so I will take my chance.

Rita, you need to take something for your sneezing and wheezing now before it gets any worse. Keep warm and have plenty of hot drinks..........I'm starting to sound like the resident nurse.

Maddie, my dad often came home with a puppy for us, mam would let us keep it for so long and then she'd give it away while we were at school. Dad just kept bringing them in until she gave up and let us keep one.

Stephen, my friend spends her Christmas Day helping the Salvation Army to feed the homeless. She has her Christmas dinner on Boxing Day. It's good to know there are still lots of people who give up their time to help others.

I have to get cracking today got to feed this lot of 7 to a meal for tonight doing spicy Chicken with new potatoes, Bruschetta for starters.......haven't thought of a pudding yet !

Stephen I am pleased to hear there are still people like you that do so much for the Homeless. my sister and I buy the big issue. it isnt much .but we feel it helps..
More and more people are becoming homeless.but, then we have more people than every before in this country. I dont know what the answer is ?for everyone to be given a home or accomadation.?
Things will get harder than ever now. That is what makes me angry with the budget, they gave extra to send aid to oversea countries.why did they now use that for the Homeless in Britian.after all they need aid.as do the people abroad.
I didnt come off too bad being a pensioner so I am happy I get to keep my bus pass and get heating allowance and free TV Licence..

Pauline it was a real puppy. Apparently someone had come into the Barbers shop, mentioned his bitch had some puppies, they were the right age, Dad being a sucker for dogs said he would have one. Then brought it home. Mum was a bit surprised, as she had no bedding, no food, no bowls, no collar, no lead etc. But it wasnt the first time.

Dad was one of nine children, so he had a great deal of contacts over north London. He bought home pups, canaries, budgies, waifs, strays. lol No cats though.

Stephen you are to be commended for your good works. I promise myself every year I will go to a Midnight Service, then when it gets to about 11.30 and I see how cold it is outside, I decide against it.

May be back a bit later this morning, late start for work on Thursdays.

I'm ready for another manic day. Not enough hours in the day just now to fit everything in. I suppose it stops me from getting weary.

Booked our Christmas Dinner yesterday. A bit later than normal. The whole family go to a local Castle. They do a really good meal and have fantastic entertainment for the adults and children. It's a bit expensive but worth it. And no washing up afterwards !!!!!! Then it's home to open up Santa's presents. If he has left any ! My daughter moans that there are no 'left overs' for Boxing Day sandwiches. Can't please everyone can you.

Early Christmas morning I help at the Church to serve breakfast to the Homeless. We do this every week and also distribute food packages as well as Home Starter Packs for those who are moving in to a house. There are some really needy folks in the Community and it never seems to get any better.

Brent enjoyed his day but he doesn't like cakes so he had chicken curry and Guinness.
