Morning All.

Hi Liz.... I wouldn't worry about your wedding photo's .....just how often do we all look at wedding photo's ? once in a blue moon .. LOL ,yes it is an anti climax it seems all weddings are.. because we all seem to worry about if everything is going to be alright .

Talking of weddings are any of you watching the weddings on channel 4*WEDDING HOUSE* 8pm Tuesday ? well what a fiasco and an eye opener.....and its stupid !!
Almost not real....but it is real.

Now looks like I'm going to miss Halloween .....I don't want to be a witch anyway, I haven't got a pointed nose for starters , so I have nothing in common with witches other than a few cob webs in my barn as I do live with them ,and a few brooms in the garage that don't fly , don't even have warts , well I might have a few on me bum ...LOL

So all in all I'll be flying alright.....in a big bird on Sunday over you lot ....

Hi everybody.

I'm rushing out today, taking my great niece to see here great, great aunt. In other words.......taking the youngest in my family to see the oldest.

I see we have lots of poets on here........very clever.

Hope none of you put a hex on me with all your spells.

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 28 Oct 2010 04:30

Hi all, still in the land of the living but really tired and fed up with having no holiday and having to put up with o.h. off work for two weeks for his holiday - supposedly to finish the bathroom decorating etc he started in Nov 07 and what did he achieve? The rest of the tiles, about ten if that, fixed and grouted, went and got some wood for shelving and boxing off pipework but still standing where he left it when he came back. Bought a bathpanel but that went back as wouldn't fit under the wonky frame that holds the bath in place and he couldn't get that to move after 20 odd years lol He did a few bits round the garden and that was about it! We didn't go out at all and he managed to cook for me once, only tuna and pasta bake and I had to do veg with it and dish up or we wouldn't have had any of our five a day except the sweetcorn in the pasta bake!

His phone is broken since I found the battery in the greenhouse when I spilled water on it and noticed it among the gravel so he hasn't called the son in NY and the son hasn't called him, nor has the other son whose baby is due in a week's time! Did get a copy of photos done by his ex's o.h. and most of them are her and the d.i.l. from NY Any pics with me on were rubbish, I didn't like the look of my outfit after all that and my legs were too white cos I couldn't get the spray tan done with the NY son turning up and o.h. using the car to go and see him, so I wasn't too chuffed. All such an anticlimax and o.h. doesn't even seem excited about the baby, he hasn't written it on his calender but has everything else written in, like the anniversary of his friend's death and other occasions.
I haven't bothered to contact the son who got married as he hasn't called his dad at all, oh except once about two weeks after the wedding and that was only to say o.h. should call the NY son to apologise! What a family.

My son has been working really hard on a second part time job but that's finished for now, it might crop up again, so he is glad of the chance to get a bit extra in his bank account. He managed to get a cancellation driving test and took some more lessons, altogether it cost him over £200 and then he failed again on a couple more silly points, he said he was so nervous his brain wouldn't work. Bless him!
I went out to Bella Italia with him last evening while o.h. is on a week of night shifts, this is the first week for ages I have had evenings to myself as he has worked so many different shifts and been around far too much for my liking lol Bella Pasta was packed and so hot, not enough staff so we had to wait ages and then sat there with empty plates in front of us for another half an hour, we almost got up and walked out. In the end my son went to the Manager and said I suppose I had better come and pay, since no one wants to ask us if we want more drinks or dessert - he told him he had been tempted to walk out. The Manager apologised profusely but the evening wasn't a pleasant one so I have emailed a complaint, maybe we will get some free vouchers lol

Sorry some of you have had mishaps and problems, I have been sleeping a lot and not feeling very well so will see the doc next week. I haven't seen the counsellor for two weeks as one time I didn't feel up to driving there and then she had a week off but will see her again this coming Monday and hope things go well, she has been so very supportive so far and I do feel I am getting through some of my hassles.

Must get to bed before o.h. comes home in a little while, if I don't get off to sleep before he comes in I can't sleep when he comes to bed for his snoring.

Take care all, sorry I haven't been in touch but will try to do better soon lol

Apart from Rita and our Mo,
Where's our Witches,
I dunno,

C'mon you lot,
Out you come,
Before I have to kick,
your bum.

Grab your Broomstick,
and your cat,
Let's get flying,
Through this and that.

Hubble bubble toil and trouble, were all of up to town on the double,
Round and round the London eye, little witches in the sky,
Stephen's brewing porridge in his pot,
aint we just a lucky lot.

See if HM the Queen wants to join us.

What's about a 'flight' round Big Ben for starters.

Quick buzz over Buck House,

under Tower Bridge

through the London Eye,

round the Post Office Tower.

A sing song on the top of St Pauls.

Raise the Mummies in the British Museum.

Bring the exibits in Madame Tausauds(?) to live.

Cauldron brew up in Trafalgar Square.

Might be better if we finish in COVEN (t) Garden LOL

Rita Report 27 Oct 2010 21:23

Stephen I usualy buy Scots Porriage Oats. I just wondered .why the Quaker name.. My Step Mother in Law Rosie. use to make her porriage thick and she used salt on it. I told my husband ask for cornflakes not Mums oats. he didnt listen and nearly chocked when he gt a mouth full of salt. I told him you would not believe,me. he never had it again without telling Mum suger please not salt.

My son in law polishes my broomstick up for me he said he dont want me getting any dirt on my robe or splinters in my Bum. The only thing I am worried about is the bristles are begining to come out so it is getting a bit thin on that end. I will have to get my black long johns out I suppose.?
I had to patch my hat as well this year I have had it so long it had moths holes in but it looks nice I stuck blue patches over the holes.

EVERYONE !

Get the Broomsticks, Cats and Magic Potions ready.

Shake out the Pointed Hats and Flowing Capes, the odd Toad or two, the big black Cauldron etc.

We will frighten the live out of everyone !!!!!!

Trick or Treat......that's childsplay.

We need something a lot more daring than that.

Any suggestions ?

I wont need the false nose or the warts on my face Stephen, they come naturally. The hairs is in a tangle most of the time, just need to dust my broomstick, and feed the cat, and I will be ready to go at any time.

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 27 Oct 2010 19:45

Mo,

Lets get Dame Shelly to do it. She's normally about in the wee sma hours !!!!

Halloween might just be the right time for it.

I don't need a Mask....my face usually does just as it is....folk think I'm already wearing a mask.

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 27 Oct 2010 19:41

Rita,

Porridge Oats ?

Quaker Oats is just a Brand Name.

If you can get them Scots Porridge Oats are about the best.

'Real' Porridge are fine grains that are best left to soak overnight. No one seems to use them anymore.

In the mountains and the arctic with no milk I normally melted some butter or marg on my porridge. Without either of them then I would use fat. Needed this to keep the cold out and the energy up. Not everyones cup of tea.

In the croft houses, donkeys years ago, the porridge was made, poured into a drawer, then cut out and warmed up as they needed it.

That sounds like fun Stephen. When are we arranging it for. Do we have to write for permission, or do you think her Maj would allow it by word of one of her Dames, ie Shelly. After all once seen never forgotten thats our Shelly.lol

Methinks Telly must be good tonight.................................
.............................

WHERE IS EVERYONE?

Time we had a bit of Mad Nonsense again?

That would liven things up !!!!!

Trick or Treat at Buck House? Do you think HM would dress up and join in.

Perhaps we should ask Dame Shelly to do the approaching. She's probably on first name terms with most of the Royals.

There's something funny going on with the site. Whenever I write something. it goes back to page one of the thread. I usually keep it on 'Last Reply' but it won't do it today.

Rita, my aunt has asked me if I want any of her china but I think it should stay in her family, besides............her 3 daughters and 6 granddaughters would be annoyed if they didn't get it.

It'll be lovely for your granddaughters to have something that you've had since your wedding.
