Sorry you had plane problems Marilyn.
Sad BA couldn't help !!
Did you see about the Quantas flight on the 380 that lost the power in one engine? Had to turn back to Singapore after dumping fuel there were about 450 aboard. They have stopped flying them for now. Though Emirates are still using theirs.

Enjoy your break

Hello and Good bye to Shelly I hope you have your trainers on all that running about you are doing.

Pauline I told maddie I thought it might be your computer was down, see I am a witch even without my broomstick.

I have been to the shops and got back had the letter from the hospital my blood test was fine cayy on taking the doseage I am on I dont have to have another test till 14 December my god that is near Christmas how time flies.
I called my estate manager in this morning as my central heatting is up the creek without a paddle. it is on the lowest you can get ,yet the radiators are so hot you have to move away from them. you cannot put your hands on them. I said would she let them know as I think the thermostat is needing replacing. I have turned the CH off and left the HW on. I dont really need the heating on yet only a few nights it was cold that was why I had it on.
still we will see when they come.

Aaaarrrrrgh, I've just clicked the wrong button and lost the long post I wrote out. Haven't got time to write it out again, got to go out.

I haven't been able to get on here because my server was down........so if I go missing - you know what's happened.

Pleased to hear the good news about your parents Linda, and it's worked out well for them to be back together for their anniversary.

Rita, sounds like you may need your warfarin changed if you're bruising that bad.

Sorry got to rush out.

Morning
Maddie , Stephen and Linda.

Linda that is such good news about your Dad and to think they will be together for their Wedding Anniversary is great news.

My arms are all bruised this morning. it is something to do with the warfarin and my blood. If my husband was alive he would have a fit if he saw my arms like this. still I have told the hospital.

I am doing some more Family tree as I told you
and I am going to be really busy today.
I have shopping this morning and then a lot of typing to do. as I have now got dates of places where some of them lived and dates of their deaths. I have 676 to do look ups on. many I do know.
see you later.

Morning Stephen and Maddie and others who pop in later than me
Thanks for the tea Stephen. And both of you don't work too hard.

I am up later this morning as no little today.
So I can please myself. There is a wash already on. Family tree to check and forward to my new contact.

Just off for tea and cereal.

Oh the blood tests are all back and show all Normal. I said to the receptionist that would be a first !!! At least nothing nasty going on. Just have to see the consultant at the hospital next week.

Dad was allowed home yesterday. My sister in law phoned late yesterday. He had one tablet that didn't agree with him and added to his problems, that has been changed now so we'll see how he gets on. So he and Mum were together for their anniversary and the party goes ahead on Saturday.

Thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts.

It's another day !

Still here to enjoy it come what may.

Morning all !

(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?

Tea or Coffee.

Toast, Butter, Marmalade, Bacon Rolls, Cereals, Porridge.

Get tucked in !

It's dark and dreich this morning. Must have had a fair bit of rain overnight. Snow is foercast for the high hills. Can't smell any here yet though.

The next couple of months are the ones I really detest. It starts getting better the 2nd week in January when we see a bit more light. Shortest day can't come quick enough.

They usually do a good job of keeping the Glen road clear of snow but as it's a secondary road it's a low priority. The farmers help a lot by using their own ploughs. And my wife is a dab hand with a shovel !!!!!!

Have a good day ya all.

Rita. I hope your not left alone on here all day again.

Then I had to phone the foot clinc to check foot appointment. that is 7th December. The optitian phoned and I hav to go for another eye test next tuesday,
I have been tracing my Scottish family the McCallums.I am back to 1600 but I am looking for the ones born in 1840

Hi all.
This is the first chance I have had to get on here all day. I didn't have any problems Jean. But a few times lately, I have not been able to access this site. At others I have written quite long posts, only to lose them, when I have gone to send them.

It's lovely to find family you have no idea are still alive Linda. When I was contacted by my grandmothers, brothers, grandaughter, I was thrilled. We send each other p.m's and at christmas we send cards. I was surprised to find that her mother is still alive as well.
I can never work it out. Is her mother a great aunt of mine, and the daughter is she a second cousin twice removed.
I know I sound thick, but I have been trying to work this out for the last two years, and I just can't put two and two together, and come up with a correct answer. Can anyone explain it to me please.

Hello Rita,

I'm back again.

Normally I'm home from work around 2pm,
but this week and next I'm doing a bit extra to ensure a number of things slot into place over the next few weeks.

It will make life easier for the 'shut down' period at Christmas and New Year.

Catch up later....going to feed my face !

Hello Jean...nice to see your about.

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok.
I tried for nearly an hour to get on here this afternoon,
computer was running like a snail, so I gave up,
just tried again and got on immediately.
For the past 2 days if I tried to get into GR
I have had to sign in with email address and password,
not sure what is going on. Anyone else have the same problem?

Take care.

I stayed up watching how the Victorian shop keepers worked (on Channel 4.) I can remember in my early years the shops weighing up sugar. bean. flour things like that and cutting the butter and pating it on both sizes with a pattern now I do feel old.
they still did that when I got married in 1951. Lol

Linda what lovely news about you dad. have you tried getting him to put his tablets in the little boxes marked with the day f the week. some have one day at a time others have Morning.Afternoon.Evening and Night that way you cannot get mixed up if your not sure if you took one at the right time. I have a pink one for my tablets and a blue one for my warfarin otherwise I might get muddled.

Glad to hear you had a win on Darts Mo.

Maddie get out of that bed and stop looking at what is going on around your house.
I hope your not one of the people who are having to go to work on the tube today.? you notice it is the working class people that are getting hit. not the Government or train bosses.
